> **Pros**: I like that Athena is fairly easy to navigate. It has all medical records and appointments and a chat to speak with providers which is super helpful.

> **Pros**: There have been some updates to Athena that have made an already user friendly software that much more user friendly. Everything is in one place and I don’t have to search for anything.

> **Pros**: nice looking software but the training is all videos that are cryptic and not helpful. Customer service just gives the run around, hardly any answers.

I changed from Curemd to Athena because they made claims that they could increase my income as a solo medical practitioner.&#10;&#10;3 months after changing over to Athena, our income was slipping. By 4-5 months we were having trouble meeting payroll. Six months in it was clear we may be going out of business after 26 years.&#10;&#10;I took no salary for 7 months, worked 24/7 and finally was given the advice that the only way to save the company was to go back on Curemd which we did.&#10;Six months later we are back on our feet.&#10;&#10;Over $600,000 in collections remains missing.&#10;Athena barely worked claims. Their customer service barely speaks our language and is of no help. The "Customer Success" manager seemed to be hell bent in putting us out of business. When I finally got our case escalated to the VP of Sales, he only made it worse and was actually agressie toward us.&#10;&#10;Curemd is honest, reliable, and goes to the wall with each and every claim. You can always reach someone who knows what they're doing.&#10;&#10;Do not get involve with this company. They were sued for millions by a hospital for fraud. They were bought by Bain Capital 10 years ago and they probably gutted whatever value there was.

> **Pros**: I enjoyed the simplicity of the interface, it doesn't feel overwhelming and it's clear options of  "Home, Appointment, Billing \&amp; Payments, Messages, My Health and Test Results" make it very accessible even for people that have difficultly using/understanding technology, like my mom.  Sending and receiving messages was simple, but I would appreciate if it went straight to my phone messages. Overall, I have not encounter any bugs or issues and it makes things like paying bills very easy. It's also convenient that test results and medical records(including shot record) is accessible in one system

> **Cons**: One thing I dislike about athenaOne it how it does not have default Multifactor Authentication, for a health service that contains sensitive medical information this feels necessary. However, there is an option in settings that allows you to enable, still it does feel a little tedious. Furthermore, the initial setup process at first was confusing, however, it was still manageable.

> My family primary doctor that works at Family Healthcare Associates uses the "Catalyst Physician Group Athena Patient Portal". During my time with them, Family Healthcare associates has used a lot of other Patient Portals, and as a patient, I can say that I do prefer this Athena Patient Portal.
