I like the clean interface, good templates, drag-and-drop editor, and how quickly I can create and send campaigns. Overall, it remains a practical and user-friendly platform for email marketing with good pricing. > > **Cons**: My main issue is how subscriber billing works across multiple lists. I had one main list with 4,000+ subscribers, and I created another list from part of that audience with around 1,000+ subscribers. Even though I only used that second list once, the subscribers were counted again toward my total, so I ended up paying for more than 5,000 subscribers. This increased my monthly cost from about $28 to $34. I think this should be made much clearer inside the platform, with a stronger warning before users create overlapping lists. > > My overall experience with EmailOctopus has been positive in terms of usability, campaign creation, and general performance. However, the way contacts are counted across separate lists made my costs higher than expected. I would strongly recommend using one main list with segmentation instead of creating overlapping lists, but I also think EmailOctopus should explain this pricing impact more clearly.
