Provet cloud - great for our ambulatory equine practice

Very positive. I like the support and the constant evolution of the software

Pros

It is cloud based and we all find it very intuitive to use. It has enabled us to work very effectively this year during Covid restrictions - we would have been totally stuck without it.
I also like the fact that it seems to be constantly evolving and embracing suggestions and new ways of working

Cons

Initial migration was tricky but I think it can be with any migration of data and the company were very committed to sorting it.

Customization pros!!!!

Love the customizations for practically everything and the task function. It has helped our clinic run smoother. It is easy to learn.

Pros

I really enjoy using this software for its high level of customization across various functions, including clinical notes, discharge instructions, communications, and templates. It’s very user-friendly and easy to navigate, allowing me to tailor settings to suit specific needs in almost every area. The flexibility it offers has made documentation and communication smoother and more efficient. Highly recommend it to anyone looking for a customizable and intuitive software. F3 is a lifesaver when reviewing medical records.

Cons

When creating estimate templates and ensuring the items are in proper order, it does not stay that way when transferring it from the bundle to the actual estimate. When needing to go through step by step estimate with the Owner, it is hard to do so when the bundle used is very out of order.

STAY CLEAR

SHOCKING. They failed to complete our integration to which it crashed and we had no data on go live day. Then a lot of the history we have been told will never be integrated into the system.
Support is lacking (MAINLY FOCUSING ON THEIR CVS CONTRACT)!
Xero integration isn't worth the paper its written on. Found out they knew there was a problem and haven't let their clients know about it. Now I have increased sales figures incurring VAT charges.

In a nut shell. They don't care about service JUST SALES

Pros

should have been more intuitive and simpler to run my practice certainly isn't!

Cons

Cant get basic sales reports
Incorrect sales data transferred to accounts package
Lack of technical support
Keeps on going down during working days
Can not trace client payment history or see details of purchases.
Basically this system isn't fit for purpose in a first opinion practice where you need to look at purchase trends, reminder compliance, look at a simple sales by client group!
Meant to have brought out a DD service for care plans NOW dropped!

Love this product

The experience has been great from implementing to support when an issue arises.

Pros

Running reports was something that we needed more of and ProVet has saved us so much time by having customizable reporting and auto reporting.

Cons

Having to be on WiFi to access can be a struggle as we go to rural areas, but it’s an easy work around.

Intelligent and portable software solution for large animal vets

Pros

I do like a few features about Provet Cloud. Probably one of the most relevant is that it can actually be used by large animal practitioners as it has production features developed and incorporated to be used as such, rather than to have to adapt a companion animal designed software to the large animal field with all the limitations and frustration that brings along. Another feature I like is the easy portability the software has. I run the software in my 10'' data capable iPad when in the field and the browser visibility is great, comparable when using my laptop or desktop. At times I use it on my phone and it's easy to use too. The software's availabitity to be integrated via API's and webhooks is great, either by the user or via external software such as VetImpress. Last but not least, the support of Provet Cloud is simply terrific. The support agents are extremely responsive, sharp and efficient. I don’t feel like I am wasting my time when I make an inquiry or suggest something like happened when testing other software. They respond very quickly and they have always been very open to listen to my feedback, and have made changes as requested. They keep working for a solution won't close a support ticket until the solution is there or they request the technical people if needed.

Cons

My opinion is coming from Australia. I think there are some printing formats that are very European alike and perhaps they could be more easily editable or customisable by users in other continents, such as in Australia. In my case and due to the type of clientele, invoices are extremely important. These need to be simple but clear. I find the invoices a bit complicated to set up, where the setting boxes to tick or undo are tricky to be found and the descriptions for the settings can be a bit difficult to understand due to the different style of English used in Europe perhaps. I wish the software could have an option for my farm clients to access to their own secure portal so they could see files, clinical notes, invoices, payments, etc. That would be excellent.

The positives over-numbered the negatives by far. The incorporated production animal features, the portability, stock management and support were much usable and practical than other options I trialed. When talking to the support agents I feel like I being listened and I am not wasting my time by getting scripted and shallow answers, like happened with almost all the other software's agents.

A Decent Bridge System

This is biased as we made the transition during the height of the Pandemic and did not receive the typical onboarding experience. Since onboarding, it seems like we have been perpetually playing catch-up to get the full use of this system.

Pros

Cloud based use has been extremely helpful, but using a PIMS based out of country has provided some workflow logic, accounting, and other issues.

Cons

The lack of immediate solutions or fixes, in part due to the technical team being based in Finland while we are users in the United States. This might not be an issue for practices located closer to or in the EU.

Tucson, Arizona veterinary clinic using Provet Cloud and wowed by customer support

Very good and a constant work in progress as we learn more and more about what this program can do. We are most impressed with how well they listen to our needs and respond to them in a timely manner. We are confident that, through continued work and collaboration, we will end up with a program that will be highly customized to our work flow, help us be even more productive and serve us well into the future.

--The amazing customer support and ease of writing medical records
--Ease of customization, templates
--Ease/ability to place digital images in the medical record
--ease of creating discharge instructions
--ease of communicating with clients via text or e-mail directly from medical record
--integration with IDEXX
--ease of archiving/retrieving/reading referral records, radiology consults, etc.

Cons

--Some of the quirks in operational differences between the US and Europe (zip codes, in house pharmacies)
--End of day, invoicing differences

Hands down the best customer service and Provet Cloud was literally the only company that was willing to send their programmers to our clinic in Tucson for a week to observe our workflow and truly understand what we wanted and needed. No other companies were willing to provide that level of customer service and support.

Excellent Practice Management Software

Fantastic. The support is great, they go above and beyond to make sure I am getting the most out of the software.

Pros

Really easy to use - intuitive. Easily allows for billing at the time, which is vital for my ambulatory practice.

Mass billing multiple horses at a time is AMAZING. If I do ten dentals at a yard - I can bill them all in the time it would have taken me to bill one.

Cons

The integration with a portable label printer is currently missing - but hopefully in the development soon!
If you make a mistake with invoicing or need to cancel the invoice it is a little bit clunky and time consuming to offer credit notes etc.

Great software

has worked well for what I need it for. I dont use most of its features because I am a mobile vet that specializes in acupuncture but I do think its easy to manage overall.

Pros

Integration with Weave, how I can have secured forms signed, easy to schedule, make notes, invoice, ect.

Cons

I still struggle with getting my a correct report with the cost of my items deducted. My gross report because of that does not reflect appropriately.

Now live on the system and finding it better to use than first thought

Pros

It has many functions which most of are intuitive, and there is an easy flow to most of the system. the customer support is fairly quick to respond.

Cons

so functions are not so obvious and there is too many different ways to achieve the same action. so for instance you can book an appointment at least 3 ways which can be confusing. and there is not user manual so it is user tested which I feel makes it less efficient as we do not see the whole potential of the system.

Remember that the Knowledge Base is online, although for the University, we are still in the process of developing features, and any manual published now would be quickly out of date! Promising

The product is very promising and I believe it can and will take the market.

Pros

Its flexibility and complex functionality, keeping future tech possibilities in mind.

Cons

Some vital functions for this territory is missing. Understandably, it takes time to develop key features, but it could be a good idea to do deeper research prior to offering the product.

I use Provet for a small mobile practice so it works for my needs. The support is very good.

Pros

It's easy to use and I have access to reminders. The technical support is also very good. I usually get a reply within 24 hours despite the time difference!

Cons

I would like a prescription template for written scripts but this is now being arranged. I still have the ability to use a discharge template in the meantime.

nice but to be fixed

management of images of tc , x ray and ultrasound, medical records updating easy, no in the beginning, but easy. some problems with name of the owner of the bills if we change it.

Provet Cloud Review

So far I´ve had a nice experience of Provet Cloud, and it feel like it is quite easy to learn

Pros

That it`s cloud-based. Nice to build the system for my own preference. Very good support and that the company wants to keep developing the program.

Cons

Some features are hard do tune, like making own cerftificates etc.

A fairly intuitive programme, but quite different to others out there.

Pros

It's got a good layout although a bit too many functions for our practice. I like how it is web based so that I can access it from any location.

Cons

Not really designed specifically for Farm animal practice, so lots of issues as of yet unresolved. Focus seems to be making the programme work for Small animal services. We have had issues with billing, locating clients, booking appointments etc.

Getting there!

Pros

I like the filtering and all the linked items and template for items seems to work well
I also think the overall look of the system is nice

Cons

I do not think the forms and templates are very user friendly and are extremely hard work to create and maintain - I also don't like the way in which the discharge notes or in our case the report saves into the clinical notes

I have been using this since 4th December 2017, it's a good system and very user friendly.

Pros

user friendly, layout is very good, i find it easy to help my team how to use the system as there are many queries

Cons

lots of steps involved to get to where i want to go, bit pernickety to use, have to change phone number to +44 when updating a client's account

The colours. All the fields for the animal and person information.

Cons

Too many clicks whit the mouse. Too many different sides too read a journal.

Okay exprerience

Pros

Maybe the modern layout/look of the software.

Cons

Not having the tabs in patient cards like in provet net did. And scehedule layout is not "pretty".

not satisfied

Pros

You can send sms. Get test results directly in the journal. Easy to send a email from journal. Attach documents to the journal easily.

Cons

Takes a long time when selling, when no black box. To many click to get the information. Difficult and not understandable. Problem with prescription.
