Wix is your best friend for anyone who is looking to start website building!
Wix is a decent program for people who are new to building websites. They have attractive components and it is incredibly easy to use this platform. Customization was lacking, which was the reason we ended up abandoning this in favor of another platform.
Pros
Wix is a straightforward user-friendly platform. Making websites is a breeze when using Wix. Perfect for someone who is new to website building.
Cons
You don't have a lot of bandwidth to host things on Wix. Its application is rudimentary, and its overall variety is lacking.

Reliable, easy to use and intuitive
I use Wix for my site and my clients because a happy medium between functionality and simplicity to use. Plus the more recent update to Wix Studio is superb. Where ive used Wordpress for years I miss certain personalisation however, the security, reliability and ease of use outweigh that issue. Most of my websites are lead generators and glorified shop fronts opposed to heavy in ecommerce so cant comment on that side too much.
Pros
Everything you need in one place. Simple and intuitive layout of both backend and editor. Quick to pick up the basics with intermediary skills a little play away. Im a big fan of how quickly i can check the responsiveness of mobile vs computer layouts. Security is also a major factor that Wix gives great peace of mind.
Cons
Pricing of all the addons and a lack of additional functionality compared to WordPress. Adding a business email for example is about £56pa whereas we know its drastically less elsewhere so there is a feeling of now you're using us you have to accept the prices we charge.

Wix is AMAZING for Small Businesses
Overall, I adore Wix because I have been able t create beautiful websites with the functionality I need for my Destination Wedding Brides. I use these as a hub for all their guests to go to get information and book their rooms. I also feel like the templates are AMAZING. However, the adjusting of certain sections and formatting can be a little less intuitive on the more developed templates.
Pros
I love that Wix has the ability to copy entire sites, as well as entire pages that I can paste onto my other websites. I'm frequently creating similar sites so this has become extremely helpful in streamlining the process.
Cons
I did not like that at one point for one of my premium sites, I had to update the credit card to even cancel the renewing. Also I feel like that premium site cancelling process is a little confusing.

High customisation abilities with Wix
I have been using Wix for the past 4 years, for my personal blog and small business. I use this site every week and have experienced various aspects of the platforms, whether for blog settings or payments and order management.
Pros
It has high customisation capabilities, for example page designs, fonts, images and so on. I find that the there is much more flexibility to execute your vision if you want something specific and not a template, in comparison to other providers.
Cons
Pricing and subscription plans are not always straight forward, and many plan features or caveats aren't made clear when buying, so you often end up needing a more expensive plan to complete what you wanted.

Love the Product
Great. I enjoy the ability to keep all my email marketing, website, and blog in one place.
Pros
The ability to use templates and to have all my website and search engine things in one place. I like that I can create blogs and post there as well.
Cons
They changed their ability to have Facebook, LinkedIn, and Instagram as a part of the standard service and now require another upgrade to have all three to use my social media platform.

Easy to use website builder and good variety of templates
Overall my experience has been positive, I was quickly able to set my personal website within 1-2 days.
Pros
Easy to use, drag and drop editor makes creating a website really simple. The variety of templates that look professional is great. Ton of customizable options to make my site feel unique. Loved it.
Cons
The templates are great, but if I modify it too much, the layout gets messy sometimes, and I've to spend extra time fixing that layout.

Overall experience with Wix is amazing. Wix had amazing massive template collection, easily understandable and the customer service was very helpful.

What is the Wix website?
My experience was in creating a logo. It was easy. I had problems with the image sizes and the design. It was also easy for me to work with. I no longer needed programs like Photoshop and other complex programs and programming.
Pros
The site is great for creating a logo and appropriate sizes with social networking sites with ease and without effort
You can also create a website or online store in half an hour, and you can modify it without the need for a programmer or software developer
Cons
The difficult thing about it is that when you create an online store, it is difficult to integrate the payment system into it. It is somewhat complicated to integrate the payment system or receive money.

Quite well-rounded website builder - yet there is some room for improvement
Wix is a popular website builder noted for its simplicity and adaptability, making it a perfect alternative for individuals and small businesses wishing to establish a professional online presence without requiring substantial coding skills. The platform has a large choice of configurable templates, a user-friendly drag-and-drop editor, and a number of features that appeal to a variety of needs, ranging from e-commerce and blogging.
Pros
What I love the most about Wix is that is a very user-friendly website builder with a simple drag-and-drop interface, allowing even beginners like me to construct and customize websites without any whatsoever coding skills. The platform provides an enormous library of professionally created templates from a variety of industries, allowing users to find a good beginning point for their websites. There is a wide range of apps and connectors to improve website functionality, including SEO tools, social media widgets, and e-commerce options.
Cons
In my point of view Wix could also improve some points. What I found the most annoying was that once a template is selected, we cannot convert to a different one without rebuilding the whole site. While Wix has a free plan, many of its more advanced features, such as e-commerce and custom domain names, are only available on paid plans, which might be costly for customers with limited budgets. Wix's SEO capabilities can also be improved.

WIX is The Number 1 Site For Beginners
My overall experience with WIX was amazing! I would recommend them to anyone who is just starting out and has very little web design skills it walks you through and if you aren't sure of something their help guides are literally spot on to be able to walk through what ever it is!
Pros
Overall very user friendly! I had never set up a website before and it was very easy with WIX to achieve the look that I wanted for my store. It was very easy to products into different categories and set up multiple pages within my page. They also had a great selection of upscale amd beautiful products to list! They kept you up to date on what they had and what they didn’t and very rarely did they run out of something! But when they did getting it back stock was a priority for them. Customer support was easy to get ahold of and there was complete transparency with them.
Cons
The only thing that I did not like was that to be able to access certain products you had to purchase an annual plan instead of a monthly plan.

Great for beginners
It was great for my particular use-case, which was designing a website from scratch quickly and highly customize what's on it.
Pros
It's very easy to get started and design a simple website. It's perfect for beginners.
Cons
A lot of advanced features (advanced animations, menus, navigation) is missing.
Reasons for Switching to Wix

The last hosting site you'll need
I had another platform for my website but it was old and out of date. It was also really limited to updating pages and almost no other apps could integrate with it it.
Pros
It's so easy to customize, especially if you don't have a big design background and get overwhelmed with techy stuff
Cons
The only thing I don't like about wix is the lack of ability to display the checkout options. I've seen pages where the full checkout process is on the same screen as the product which isnt the case with wix. Other than that i love it

"Good for Beginners, But Pricing and Flexibility Could Be Better"
Overall Experience: I used Wix for one year, and my experience was generally positive. I initially chose Wix because my web designer, who is an affiliate, builds all her clients' websites on the platform. The functionality was easy to navigate, even with limited experience managing a website. I appreciated how user-friendly the back office is and how easy it is to find what you need. When I needed to update my website, customer support was excellent—after explaining my needs, the agent was more than helpful and made my experience
Pros
Pros: What I liked most about Wix was the ease of use, even for someone with limited technical experience. The support team was incredibly helpful, and the platform itself is designed in a way that makes it simple to manage and update your website.
Cons
Cons: The main drawback for me was the pricing, especially when it came time to renew. As someone who is just starting my business, I found the price point too high, particularly since I didn't need all the features in the basic package. I only needed a basic online presence with a few features, so I ultimately switched to a platform that offers more flexibility and a price point I can grow with.

Wix is great for Agencies and Business owners alike
Very good. Very easy to use for a business owner or for an agency. I have been able to scale by marketing business offering Wix based websites at a lower cost than what I would have to charge for Wordpress sites. The site setup is very easy and the SEO process is incredibly simple and intuitive
Pros
Very easy to use and the features are a lot more robust than I expected. It is much simpler to use than WordPress, literally anyone can do it.
Cons
I wanted to add some custom code to an Iframe for an external app that Wix does not support. Honestly, it's not the end of the world, but I was a little disappointed.

Comes with many features and easy to use
Overall it is has many features that can be added to the websites. It is easy to manage and allows easy updates. It is worth the annual cost.
Pros
It has many features to allow one to easily build a personalized website. I ise Wix.com to build and host my website for my small bakery shop. It takes some time to get familiar with the features but they are dependable and easy to use. Its not as great as programming your own website but it great for someone who doesn't know programming or wants to save time. Its easy to manage and update at any time.
Cons
You can choose from many features to add to the website but they have limited capabilities and sometimes you're looking for a feature that is not available.

Even Large Organizations Use Wix!
It is fantastic. Anybody can build themselves a great site that gets the job done. Even for free.
Pros
Wix has always been my go to choice for website creation. It has all the features you could ever want on your website, for a great price.
Cons
One of the things I dealt with in Wix is that most of the site templates appear to create a somewhat similar end product. This is not really a con, but to make a distinct site (at least for me) has been difficult at times.
Reasons for Switching to Wix
Squarespace and Weebly (same company) are designed with e-stores in mind, and so their sites tend to look a certain way. WordPress on the other hand is designed with blogs in mind, and therefore tends to lack some of the features for sales and marketing tailored for business. Any of them can work though, but Wix is a good middle ground.- Industry: Consumer Services

Best Customer Service you could ever ask for
Pros
Wix had the easiest site to build myself (and I tried a couple of them). Anything I couldn't figure out how to do, I would just contact Wix and talk to a customer service representative. I've had a few very good customer service reps that are patient, kind, and extremely helpful. There is one in particular though named [sensitive content hidden] that I've been so lucky to get a couple of times and she really is phenomenal. She is the primary reason I recommend Wix to any and all entrepreneurs who ask me what site builder to use. She helped me set up my content management system on the website which makes it so easy to update, add and edit content. She is the kindest, most patient customer service rep I've ever worked with and really goes the extra mile to make sure it's easy for me to do whatever I'm trying to do. She listens and knows exactly what I want, but also anticipates what I need without me even asking!
Cons
Some of the responsive features to help the site automatically adjust between web and mobile make the spacing look funky. Other than that, it's an awesome tool.
Reasons for Choosing Wix
I initially hired a company to build my site, but it didn't turn out the way I wanted it to look so I wanted to do it myself. I tried SquareSpace, but got very frustrated trying to figure out how to build the site. Wix was intuitive and easy to use with a lot of available templates to customize. And the customer service was phenomenal!Switched From

Wix Easy to Use with Great Customization Options
My experience with Wix has been great! As someone with no web design background, I found it incredibly user-friendly and intuitive. It offers tons of flexibility, allowing me to design my nanny agency website exactly how I envisioned it. The drag-and-drop editor is straightforward, and there are many apps and tools to enhance the site’s functionality. Customer support has been responsive whenever I’ve had questions, and I love how professional my site looks. Overall, it’s been a seamless experience, and I highly recommend Wix for small business owners!
Pros
What I love most about Wix is the flexibility and ease of use! As a small business owner managing a nanny agency, Wix made it simple for me to build a professional-looking website without any prior web design experience. The templates are modern and responsive, and I can customize everything to match my brand’s look and feel. Plus, the SEO tools and mobile optimization have really helped my site get noticed!
Cons
The only downside I've encountered is that some advanced features require upgrading to higher-tier plans, which can be a bit costly for smaller businesses. However, the features you gain with those plans are usually worth the investment.

WIX — Acceptable at best, but getting better.
WIX is okay at best. Their base subscription gives you access to a lot more themes when compared to it's competitors.
The default themes are nice, but WIX targets people who are typically inexperienced in web development. Sometimes giving the user the ability to move an individual item and place it literally anywhere on the page isn't the best idea when the user doesn't understand how it might hurt performance or SEO.
The WIX editor is clunky, slow, and inefficient when compared to others. Their hosting service has got to be one of the slowest for the money. Adding functions like WIX payments and bookings are made very easy, but removing them completely and properly is rarely mentioned anywhere it'd be useful.
The worst part about WIX is that you can have the experience to create something but may be limited by the outdated WIX editor. If you talk to their support they're happy to tell you to try their new WIX Studio editor (which is significantly better) but they don't mention that sites made on WIX Studio have a separate dashboard, cost more, and websites built on the regular editor cannot be migrated.
Lets say your client insists on using WIX, they're not tech savvy and aren't willing to pay extra every month for a WIX studio built site.
Now you have one store to manage through the WIX dashboard. God forbid they ever change their mind because WIX says migrating is NOT possible so it will have to be rebuilt from scratch.
If you are managing stores on both WIX and WIX Studio you need to have two very inefficient dashboards open taking up precious resources.
WIX is an acceptable product to learn the ins and outs, but falls behind when you have to use something so half baked on a recurring basis. I would strongly recommend against WIX if you can afford a higher subscription price.
Pros
WIX makes it easy to create a beautiful looking website.
Cons
WIX has poor customer service and a ton of UI inconveniences for those who build websites for clients.
