it is ok to use
As an employee, it was okay to use and made it easy to have conversations about work or other matters. I did not have any issues to use it
Pros
It reminds me of my shift that I like and it's easy to remember. If there are any changes to the information regarding the work, it notifies me quickly.
Cons
It frequently reminds me of something I don't like. Sometimes, if the owner doesn't change or remove me from a shift, it keeps emailing me about it.

When I Work Review
Overall, I find When I Work to be a helpful and up-to-date scheduling application, but I think there's some room for improvement in regard to how the homepage is set up.
Pros
I think that When I Work has a very visually appealing and user-friendly app. It's clear and easy to see what shifts are available if someone is interested in picking one up. When I Work also sends helpful notifications to remind someone when their shift is that day.
Cons
When you first open When I Work as a user, you're immediately on the "available shifts" tab. While this is a great method of trying to get staff to see what shifts are available to them for pickup, this setup leads to confusion. I would much prefer the main page on When I Work to show someone their current shifts, and the next tab over show them available shifts.

Simple and Easy Scheduling
It was alright. It did the job, it was easy to use for scheduling and organizing teams although I wish it had an option for clocking in and out and looking over timesheets

Scheduling is easy and everyone can have access to it
Cons
Employees are not able to clock in and out in the app which would make it easier.

Overall, employers and employees appreciate the ease of usage and simplicity.
Pros
I like the ease of scheduling (including copying schedules from one week to the next), as well as being able to view employee's time submitted and notices when there is overtime. I also appreciate the integration with Gusto, our payroll service.
Cons
Sometimes there is a lot of detritus and repeated shifts that shouldn't be.

This program has been easy to use. The feedback from the help has been good. May be nice to have settings that can be changed in part of the program and not other parts as we have several departments use it and it would be nice to be able to change things per deparment

When I Work is great
This app is great. It's the easiest scheduling app there is. Not much to it but employees can message each other about any work related things or give shifts to each other. The schedule is easy to read and it even has time tracking so we can clock in on it.
Pros
I love When I Work and it's easy to follow app. All of the important things like schedules and taking shifts is easy to access and manage. It also has a team messenger so we can communicate on there.

Overall it has been quite good. As with any new app or program, using it more and more will only make it easier with time.

When I Work — our best HR rep
We have loved our experience so far with When I Work. It reduces the time and effort our senior staff have to spend verifying that each location is being properly staffed. It also provides us with the means to anticipate and identify potential problems before they materialize by reviewing attendance trends.
Pros
When I Work was an answered prayer for our personnel department. We recently underwent a large expansion that added several employees, contractors, and locations. By shifting to When I Work, we have been able to eliminate the need for a separate staff member to oversee employee attendance and productivity. Prior to implementing this, just checking in with each of our site managers took up most of the mornings. Now, within five minutes we are able to get a complete view of where our company assets are at any given time.
Cons
The only drawback we are facing has less to do with When I Work and more to do with the use of productivity software in general. We received some initial backlash from employees who felt we were being overbearing by not taking their word for hand written time sheets, time off requests, etc. However, the majority of our employees—including all of the “good ones”—have come to accept that this measure of accountability benefits not only the company but them personally.

Pros
Everything is easy to use and schedule, everything being on one app and on the go is what we need in todays time being fast paced!

Making sure I copy schedules and publishing instead of it doing that immediate.

I enjoy the simplicity in a software that is capable of achieving so many different things.
Cons
The team communication aspect has quite a few bugs that do not seem to ever be fixed. Occasionally, messages and chats will disappear.

When I Work Shifts Usage
Pros
When I Work is a great employee scheduling and shift management software. It offers the ability to pick up and drop shifts easily while maintaining communication with necessary personnel.
Cons
When I Work can be very expensive especially since it charges per employee. For bigger organizations, it may not be worth carrying the variable fee structure to maintain annual budgeted expenses.

Stick to the smaller guys. Biggest companies suck
The larger the company got the less they cared.
Pros
Drag and dropping shifts and the colour coded job sites.
Cons
After being a customer for over a decade since the very beginning. We missed the alterations to the annual plan deadline by less than a week due to being off work with a sick child.
When I work doesn't care and will not support.
They have now lost one of their longest customers.
They used to care about their customers, now they don't.

When I Work has all the basic features we need for schedule management in small animal hospital.
Pros
As an employee, it is easy to submit time off requests and check the status of requests, view other employees schedule, and see where additional coverage is needed on the calendar.

It’s Just Fine

When I Work: Excellent Solution for Scheduling and Payroll
When I Work helped us so much in scheduling our employees for multiple job sites. It had all the features we needed for scheduling employees, requesting time off, time clock, and integrated with ADP for payroll. We love using When I Work.
Pros
When I Work is so easy to use and has all the features we needed for our small business. We scheduled employees, multiple locations, request time off, payroll, confirmed shifts. When I Work had all the features we needed at an excellent price.
Cons
There was nothing that was difficult to use about When I Work and their tech support was amazing.

Overall I enjoy using the app. I very rarely has any glitches. I recommend using When I Work.
Pros
What I liked about When I Work the most is that it is very easy to use. The link to download app feature works great. Its great for scheduling.
Cons
What I liked the least about When I Work is the time tracking feature because it real time updates are not automatically available without refreshing the screen. Also sometimes new shift updates also lag and require refreshing the app as well.

When I work for us
Pros
The ability to integrate ADP workforce. Saved us a considerable amount of time with payroll.
Cons
We have 9 locations. We often use employees at different locations. We have to pay for users multiple times because there isn't a way to use one platform and have different locations. It's very much a hassle and causes errors to occur.
