Fantastic so far!
From the first point of contact, Reftab have been amazing. I have been in contact with Mike, who I believe to be one of the founders of the software. Personally I find that amazing that we have contact with a founder, who is really able to give me all the answers I need directly without going through long support terminals like with other software programs.
Mike has been extremely helpful with the setup of our account - always replying very quickly to emails.
Although we are only just (slowly) starting to use Reftab, everything about it is great so far & it works really well.
Due to an extremely busy work schedule, we have not been able to push its limits just yet, but so far, so good.
Thanks to the Reftab team for all the help so far!
Pros
- The features are super easy to use
- the Reftab team are very responsive, efficient & effective when it comes to troubleshooting or answering queries
- The check-in /out feature is really simple to use
- almost everything is modifiable & customisable
Cons
The mobile app lacks the option to edit details / barcodes for Accessories, which from an Office Supply Management POV, is important as it allows me to work from my mobile when adding / editing stock.
The request portal (to my knowledge) does not allow for indefinite loans of accessories OR assets, which could be useful for us at least. It also does not yet allow requests for consumable accessories, which again, could be useful for us.

REFTAB for the Win
Love it, very easy to use and comes with an App to download that allows for management on the go

Fast, Simple & Effective
Has been a joy to integrate with our IdP and MDMs, we managed to quickly build some really powerful integrations and automations using Reftab's workflow & webhook features. Looking forward to see what they do next.
Pros
Easy to use with a snappy and intuitive interface. Integrates really well with all of our other applications. Balance of price & features is excellent.
Cons
API could use some work - it's not as intuitive as some others out there, although the support team have been fairly quick to help where the docs didn't!

Flirted with alternatives, but Reftab is worth sticking with
I really believe that this service should be as well known as the most popular solutions, and it really deserves to be.
Pros
Quite simply, the developers are so responsive, that issues and suggestions are acted upon and that makes such a difference to the product today. The flexibility of fields and categories means that it could fit all possible use cases. The self service portal is really handy and user friendly. Settings are plentiful so you can get things as close as you can to how you want it. It's simple, yet powerful and has so so much potential. We were looking at the better known alternatives whilst testing reftab as there were a few niggles and add-on which should be as part of the standard package (when compared to competitors) but this is all resolved and I'm really glad we stuck by it.
Cons
Reporting is a little lacklustre, it is basically a filter and that's about it. It would be good to see formatted, client friendly reports, as well as checkout receipts, packing lists, hire terms and other handy supplementary paperwork.
The accessories feature could do with a bit of TLC as it feels like there is a lot of potential, but doesn't quite integrate with the rest of the ecosystem properly yet. I think the logo looks like a push chair!

It checked all of my boxes and thensome
Overall this is a great software to use. It has all the features that I want with a few pleasant surprises. It does have some issues but they are very minor and will eventually get addressed. I really appreciate that they listened and ended up create an auto collecting agent for Windows. This feature was not present when I started using them so I suggested it (along with others I am sure) and was very pleased to see it get added in.
Pros
The main factors that pulled me to reftab are the integrations, computer agent, customization, and ease of deployment. I really appreciate that it integrates with Jira (it's surprising how few system do this) so that when someone submits a ticket, I know which computer they have. I also like the agent and it's ability to collect important information on my Windows machines like the IP address.
Cons
It has a few bugs to it but bugs eventually get fixed so long as they are brought up. I would like to see display themes primarily. I do not mind the gray, white, and green but I would like to see some darker color options; however that is purely for aesthetics.

Reftab is making my IT life easier!
Very positive. Customer service was very helpful and knowledgeable. Asset creation was a breeze, and I enjoy using the interface.
Pros
Easy to use, clean and fast interface, mobile app allows for asset signing and tagging in the field.
Cons
I'm looking forward to more integrations. Some of the integration tutorials were outdated. Some UI customization would be nice, like themes or a dark mode.

I can identify very few cons in the time I've used this platform. The ability to deploy an agent to all hardware to automatically capture information would be nice but not necessary if managed well.

Quality Product at a Reasonable Price
Being able to track all assets, accessories, and consumables throughout our organization has been a game changer and will help us eliminate each department having their own spreadsheets for tracking which employees have what.
Pros
It's easy to use and reasonably priced. The fact that it can track assets, accessories, consumables, and licenses in an easy way with the ability to grant users access only to what they should be able to see was a deciding factor in selecting Reftab over other competitors.

The lack of report customization and the inability to filter accessories from consumables.

Great software
Pros
Very easy to use and implement. It's made a major difference in tracking our various assets into and out of our facility.
-Automated email reminders are great and definitely drive the assets back on time.
-The printer agnostic feature is really nice too as we already had label stock and thermal printers
-Identifying assets that need repair is great and so easy for the team to keep up with
Cons
So far so good!
It would be great if there were other industry specific versions. In our case an integration with our POS system. It would allow us to assign assets while building delivery routes. In our business there are times that an asset is left at a delivery location. It would be great to track that.

Inventory Management Lifesaver!
Pros
Reftab is incredibly easy to setup, implement, use, and customize but the most standout feature of this product is the impeccable customer service. Lightning fast responses and willingness to implement fixes for our edge use cases among other great support has earned our loyalty!
Cons
Reftab is geared toward assets that will be checked in/out while we use it as a way to manage customer assets that we've deployed in a permanent fashion so there have been some workarounds that we've had to implement, but the software tracking that's included more than makes up for any slight inconvenience. We're managing/tracking our certificates easier than ever with Reftab, too.

Reftab and managing small and attractive assets
We researched a number of solutions to manage our small and attractive assets before deciding on Reftab. As we started to push the boundaries in using this product, we discovered some limitations. When bringing these concerns to the attention of the developers, we have been very impressed by the positive response we receive every time. I now believe customer support provided by Reftab is one of its greatest strengths and I highly recommend this product to anyone looking at managing assets which are subject to being issued or loaned to staff.

Accessibility - Available in a browser at any location
Interface - The information is presented clearly and display is customisable
Auditing - Loan history and Changelog allow full audit trails to be maintained.
Cons
We are pushing the boundaries for which this product was designed. Initially we discovered some limitations when trying to import existing information and managing disparate assets such as security keys, power tools, surveying and safety equipment. These limitations have been addressed by the developers.

Great inventory management system
Again it's really about friendliness and folks that believe in their product.
[SENSITIVE CONTENT HIDDEN], one of the founders, gave us a nice demo, highlighting features of how Reftab can work for us. At the end of the presentation, he was willing to come up with a package that would best suit the needs of our nonprofit.
I am the one to set up the inventory management system and corresponding lending library that will be used my many employees in the future. The software is intuitive where I can figure out a lot on my own. Sometimes I would look for help in the documentation, and there are also times I have discussions with [SENSITIVE CONTENT HIDDEN] about certain questions or things that will come up in the future.
It's been a great experience so far, and I'm sure any company will have a good time with Reftab too.

It has a modern look and feel. It's software as a service, so there is nothing to download or install.
It's quite easy to use, but it's recommended to at least look through the documentation.
And the founders are always willing to help.

Reftab saves a lot of time for asset management
There was a feature missing that impacted our workflow, I emailed support and that feature was implemented within a couple of weeks. This has been our continual experience with Reftab, amazing customer support and an all around great product.
Pros
Ease of use, ease of setup and the integrations. We have been abysmal at keeping our assets up-to-date, but with the integrations in Reftab a lot of our mistakes have been alleviated by the sync from Jamf and Intune. The auto checkout of assets has helped us keep up on equipment.
Cons
The mobile app would be nice if we used barcodes, but because of remote workforce now-a-days we do not put barcode/asset tags on equipment. If would be nice if the mobile app was able to OCR a pic of the serial number, but it's not a deal breaker in the slightest.

Brilliant tool for a small non-profit trying to keep track of loaned items
Love it. Previously we were trying to keep track of assets in a manual spreadsheet. Our assets are expensive cameras and are donated (or funded by public donations) and are loaned out for free (with no deposits) so having easy tracking is a must. Didn't know exactly what we needed or how to set up so just started (really easy) with the default fields and this product has the flexibility to add fields as I was going along, or change things at a later date. Haven't yet used the "request custody validation" but think this will help us at year end to double check where our loan cameras are. Great product and would recommend. Thank you Reftab.

RefTab - an awesome way to keep tabs on your assets.
I've been using RefTab since day one of its release. It's a an awesome product that every company should be on board with. Allows you to track your inventory easily from any device. It has changed the way I keep inventory. Definitely a worthwhile product for the money!

Most compact asset management tool
I reviewed a bunch of asset management tools to use within our company. Reftab is the only one which is smooth to use and reduced to the really needed functionalities. What often is what you need. We decided to use that tool for our needs.
There are some tiny points which can be improved like the data import/data export for Loanees and Devices. Some controls are maybe not placed very intuitive but after the first find and use, everything is fine. Overall a nice and good tool!
A nice new feature would be to print out not only the QR-Code with a digital number next to it rather the QR-Code, Digital number, Company Name, Device Brand, Device Title and the possibility to format the output (e.g. like another Avery template like the L6011).
Pros
Smooth and reduced to the needed functionality.
Cons
Some controls are hard to find, only in the context of a location or the Import/Export functionality.

Easy to use, critical for our company growth
From day 1 they provided excellent customer service and gives rapid feature development and updates to cater to our needs.
Pros
Simple to use, easy to train our staff immediately. Fast feedback from developers to add features that are critical to our business. Slick interface makes it a pleasure to operate the platform. Search functionality + user log tracking means Data can be verified and corrected easily if need be, making sure our asset database is 100% reliable.
Cons
The mobile app has less functionality than the web platform. However the majority of our use so far has been with the web platform.
