CIN7 is Great for the Middle Tier company looking to move from small business
CIN7 was easy to implement into our Techstack, When placing orders on CIN7 it was made with ease. But CIN7 only works with small to mid-level businesses. If your company continues to grow, You will grow out of CIN7.
Pros
CIN7 works excellently as a Sales Tool, CRM, and Order Management software when connecting your eCommerce platform. it is excellent for Small businesses looking to get a grip on a more enterprise-level Inventory Management system.
Cons
CIN7 works great for a company not focused on manufacturing and just distribution. Due to CIN7 not being able to Commit stock for Backorders. Also not being able to have a Barcode System is a negative aspect.

CIN7 in the first 6 months
With most software companies such as SAP or Dynamics you would have on-boarding members onsite for a period of time and people on the phone while you transition. I felt that the on-boarding system used by CIN7 is very frustrating, you have to watch several academy videos to teach yourself the system and everything is done by emails that take a while to be answered and zoom calls. If you are stuck and just want to press on you are hindered my the time it takes to get the answers you need or actions in place. That said My on-boarding members are very proactive and knowledgeable and have helped create and manipulate functionality. Overall I am really pleased with the results and the future possibilities now we are using cloud based systems and CIN7. Our day 1 transition to completely move away from our old system went a smooth as can be and by day 2 the business was 95% functioning normally with almost all orders out the door. I take that as a result and look forward to integrating more systems and apps via API in the coming months.
Pros
Moving to a new system is always a worry for a multi currency multi million pound business. I felt the transition from an outdated desktop system was pretty smooth. The import features are excellent and extremely flexible for Customer/Supplier lists, stock,PO's and SO's. The ability to have multiple currency cost pricing on inventory items is excellent. Adding contract and discount pricing to clients on an individual bases works really well. Stock kits or BOM work nicely and the connection to our external accounting package seems solid.
Cons
I feel the WMS side for the warehouse needs more attention. The ability to see more order detail from the order screen is required, the ability to expand an order view from that screen would have been really useful to see what items are on the job as a minimum without having to release to pick to see the order. The packing section does not allow to select multiple orders to the same destination for packing together. Not being able to allocate a supplier bill to multiple PO's without merging them into a single PO.
Reasons for Choosing Cin7 Omni
To become cloud based and more flexible with API integration. The ability to have multi currency costing of products was key as well as serial number and batch tracking.Switched From

Initially I wanted and all in one ERP so everything was managed under one roof. The costs for most of the systems I looked at were expensive annually but mainly for the on-boarding. CIN7 has an extremely competitive monthly cost and the on-boarding was a fraction of the cost.- Industry: Wholesale

Worst Inventory System - RUN
Run away - please do yourself the favour. It looks great from the outside, which is why we chose it. Spend a bit more money and invest in a good product
Pros
Cin7 Promises to do all the things you need
Cons
Cin7 has bugs throughout the system and the support is non existent to the point you simply cannot run a business using this software. We have had an inventory value difference of $80k that cannot be explained or fixed for over 12 months with zero support.

Good overall
Cin7 was great other than I needed specific functions that were not available yet although I believe they are available now.
Pros
Cin7 has a good user interface and is quite user friendly.
Cons
During the time I used it, Cin7 was still adding new integrations and functions and what I needed was still not available.

Functionality & Support
Pretty reasonable. Our final Onboarding specialist was very knowledgeable, organised for our meetings and prompt with responses and actioing requests.
Pros
Integration with Shopify and Xero was easy. As we implemented all three programs at once it has been alot to take on board but Cin7 seems to be doing what it needs to.Went through a number of onboarding specilaists which was not ideal. We were not given reasons for the turnover. Our final specialist who saw us through the go live process was brilliant. Made himself available when we needed, followed up on actions and explained thinsg clearly.
Cons
Having so many onboarding specialists was not ideal for continuity of our onboarding. So much to cover off in a short period and it is not until you are actually live that you understand what you dont know. WOuld be good to have a customer success manager post go live and onboarding to meet weekly for a period of 6 weeks say to ensure things are bedded in well and you get an opportunity to explore greater use of the program as you learn more about how it works in a real life setting

Aman Solanki
Fundamentally changed every single thing that we do with every single order that we process. Has made it so that instead of five people inputting orders and potentially messing up because they were trying to go so quickly while doing other things, they're now freed up for other things!
Pros
Aman Solanki. Honestly, potentially the best help I've ever received for any product. Truly wouldn't be live on Cin7 without him, and I can't give him enough thanks. Knowledgeable without trying to lie about any limitations, insightful on different options I could explore without being over-complicated; everything you could ever want. Truly, truly incredible customer service.
Cons
Tax should be applied to individual items, rather than solely nominal codes / GL accounts - sure, I could create loads of accounts, but would be nice to be able to edit on each product. Also, would be nice if the selection for sales account showed whether it was purchases or sales, and the tax level.

Horrible service and way too buggy for the price
Very poor. Expensive, buggy and the price increases are ferocious.
Pros
Lots of features and capabilities similar to ERP platforms without the cost or complexity of ERP.
Cons
Pricing is punitive to smaller businesses and you are forced to pay far too much when only using certain parts of the platform. The customer service is dreadful and the platform is riddled with bugs that take months, and sometimes years, to be fixed.

Onboarding Experience
My second onboarder [sensitive content hidden] was ablke to bring our implementation back on track after a rather damaging experience from our inital start. We were on the verge of cancelling our subscription and signing up with Fishbowl. We are have now commenced our live transisioning and look forward to this product and support services living up to our expectations.
Pros
I felt that overall the procuct functionality and options was pleasently surprising.I look forward to trying to utilise as much as we can moving forward.
Cons
Our initial onboarding experience was quite herrific and I found the onboarding process not quite flexibble enough or detailed enough to allow us to fully understand and utilise the product to its best ability. This process delayed our project start date by at least a month. We were how ever able to move on after allocation of another specialist.

DO NOT USE CIN7 - No Telephone Support!!
Software is good but the company's attitude towards its customers is very poor, they don't care about you or your business's success, you just represent money in their pockets.
Pros
Cin7 initially offered us a great package, it has a lot of features which are great for running our business
Cons
The person who onboarded us was not great and wasn't a great experience, but the worst thing of all is that they've recently REMOVED PHONE SUPPORT. Considering we rely on Cin7 to run our business this is hugely counterproductive for us and we have to rely on an absurd ticketing system which makes resolving issues very time-consuming, frustrating and drawn out. When another equivalent platform shows up in my inbox I wouldn't hesitate to investigate and jump ship if it meets our needs, Cin7 is just another money-grabbing corporation that couldn't care less about its customers.

Pros
Easy to use and obtain movement of a product with 1 click by checking the last 50 transactions. I wish there was a way to check more than 50 from the same feature, rather than running a report.
Cons
Product jobs often have problems being completed. Contacted support on numerous occasions but couldn't resolve. When a master code is build with SN and 10 serial numbers are entered, the production job often fails when completed and erases the serial numbers and the quantity being entered. Once clicked manually on the qty. box and have the SNs entered again, it always works. Components are in stock, but the production job module is having hard time completing from one attempt. Recent January 2023 update shows 50 last transactions in a different way, where now PO's show as "IN" and Sales Orders show as "OUT" while they havent been received, nor invoiced. Used to simply show "Open" and it was much clearer. Now everything is OUT or IN even if there's no movement.

Great product but ZERO support
Nearly 10 years of use.The product is great but the support is terrible. Harf to recommend to a new user as they would need a lot of support to get up and running.
Pros
Easy to use and a lot of functionality.Interfaces easily into Shopify and Xero.Great for running a small manufacturing and online business.
Cons
We have been using CIN7 for almost ten years.Great product with a lot of features and is reasonably priced. The reason for the low rating is that the support is woeful. If you can actually get someone to resend, then they are very professional and offer great support - the challenge is to get someone to respond.Tickets stay open for months; you have to chase and chase and chase. If you rang in continuously, eventually you would get someone - they have now stopped incoming calls.Chat is offline more than online.Sending a ticket in - is just a void.Hopefully, they will improve as the product is very good.

Pros
The reporting system on Cin7 was fantastic for our company, KPIs were recorded through it, as well as stock management.
Cons
Customer service wasn't very good, when we had an issue it always took a long time to resolve. This was a real issue when it was to do with stock, it showed incorrectly on our website, so an urgent request.

[SENSITIVE CONTENT] Is Awesome!
Inventory Management, Online and Retail System Management, Accounting Integration, Manufacturing and Production Management. I don't know if anyone has yet but we plan to test out and potentially use every feature that Cin7 has.
Pros
It is the one-stop shopping of e-commerce and inventory management, every feature we were looking for we found with Cin7. All of the agents we dealt with were great and [SENSITIVE CONTENT] has made the process very simple for us and he has a great personality.
Cons

Maxlight Cin7 Integration
Cin7 meets the needs of our Business, we have used this platform across 5 different businesses.
Our knowledge will continue to grow on how to best operate Cin7.
We signed up for premium support to assist with API integration for another part of the business group which was very successful
Pros
As a project based business we have found Cin7 simple to setup and run while providing us the tools to manage the business, it has direct integration with Xero our accounting software. We can track and import product, warehouse locally and remotely, control purchase orders, sales order and invoices.
We also use Cin7 to assist with local manufacturing , production jobs are key to this, we can also buy components overseas and ship to and overseas manufacturer and control all components and roll up landed costs
Cons
Some of Cin7 warehouse functions are not as sophisticated as other software, namely cycle counting and and total location bin transfers.( only be component)
Also a planning and scheduling module would be a welcome addition.
We have had problems with the imbedded exchange rates on purchase orders causing stock valuation errors
