I Am Most Impressed With Shopify
I’m very happy with them and have convinced my friend to sign up. She is happy with it too
Pros
I love the ease of use and learning didn’t take too much time. I use it to cash out my customers and inventory management as well as website maintenance.
Cons
The price. The additional apps can be confusing. I wish they had better apps for social media posts. They did but the social companies pulled the apps as far as I know. I can’t afford paid ads all the time and the posts directly from my products across all socials were so helpful. Now I can only post in Facebook.
Reasons for Choosing Shopify POS
They had no way at the time of removing inventory from the website and my point of sale system.Reasons for Switching to Shopify POS
I was able to contact someone and ask questions at shopify. The others were also more expensive for hardware.- Industry: Health, Wellness & Fitness

Shopify POS is the clear choice for businesses who use Shopify
Overall we love Shopify POS, but we feel we are being held at ransom to pay higher prices for their hardware. If you want the seamless integration, you will pay their over the top prices for POS hardware.
Pros
The ease of use of Shopify is my favorite thing about Shopify POS. Integration to our online store is seamless and makes inventory management a breeze. There are a lot of features we use as well such as discount application, and accepting multiple forms of payment that we find especially useful.
Cons
The price of Shopify and hardware cost leave something to be desired. They are much higher priced compared to other POS companies.

Expected Better, But Time May Yield a Better Product
Shopify POS, at time of trial (2021) was not at a usable state for a retail business. Developed by a tech company without any real knowledge of brick & mortar retail operations, it is not nearly robust enough for a store with a sizeable inventory or services.
Pros
Shopify POS is convenient for a small store with a very small product catalogue. Boutiques and cafes would be most appropriate.
Cons
Had to use on an ipad w/ other specific hardware. It was rife with compatibility issues and half-baked features built on Shopify's piecemeal app system.

Shopify POS Works Great with 3rd Party Apps
Overall, we are able to find work arounds for most issues and eventually we get things working. The convenience of the Shopify POS App is sometimes overshadowed by a need for 3rd party apps, and lots of time fiddling around. A major plus is that most issues that I encounter are issues for everyone else too, so I can usually find my answers in an archive somewhere. The bad news is that some issues have been around for years and are still not resolved. For instance, the month-end inventory snapshot sometimes takes up to 2 weeks into the new month to show the month prior.
Pros
I love the ability to integrate our online store with our brick & mortar location. Before Shopify, we had to put in every order twice to capture the online sale. Now it's simple to manage our products both online and in store.
Cons
It doesn't have the ability to do Weighted Average Cost (or any other costing method that isn't FIFO). Additionally, Shopify POS doesn't have any report to track adjustments made to inventory-- you must go into each individual item to view adjustment history per item. There's no way to track bulk adjustments made in the inventory screen. We use 3+ apps just to make Shopify POS work as a normal POS should.

LightspeedReasons for Choosing Shopify POS
Quickbooks POS informed us all that they would no longer be supporting their POS system and that sent everyone into a scramble. Shopify was presented as a partnered alternative with many incentives to make the switch to them. We're a non-profit operation with a small brick & mortar store and an even smaller online store so it seemed like a good fit for us!Switched From

It came down to price at the end of the day. Also, I believe that the CFO was under the impression that Shopify could work with Weighted Average Cost -- we might have gone with something else if she'd known that it does not!- Industry: Nonprofit Organization Management

Shopify is expensive but pays off
My overall experience with shopify is satisfactory. Its user friendly yet expensive
Pros
The best thing about shopify is their ease of use and minimum fee for new users , also $1 for first month and customer reviews option.
Cons
Its costly when you keep on adding apps to scale your shop .

What we like best about Shopify POS is how well it integrates with the overall Shopify system and makes it much easier for us to carry out our reporting and accounting come tax season.

A Solid Option for Small Businesses, But Not Without Its Drawbacks
I have a love-hate relationship with Shopify POS. On the one hand, it integrates seamlessly with Shopify E-commerce, which makes life much easier. On the other hand, it is not very useful as a standalone POS system. If you are not using Shopify E-commerce, I would recommend staying away from Shopify POS, as you will likely be disappointed with the lack of basic features. Additionally, customer support is difficult to reach and unhelpful.
Pros
Shopify POS has a user-friendly interface that is easy to learn and use, even for new business owners. It integrates seamlessly with Shopify e-commerce, making it easy to manage both your online and in-store sales.
Cons
Shopify POS is sluggish, slow on older devices, and incompatible with non-Shopify hardware. The Order Printer app is broken even on the native iOS platform. There is no credit card payment gateway integration for merchants in the Middle East, and no inventory reporting.
Reasons for Switching to Shopify POS
Because of having an e-commerce website on Shopify.- Industry: Package/Freight Delivery

Finance and internal operations director
My overall experience with Shopify POS has been positive. The system is intuitive and easy to use, offering seamless integration with the online store, which simplifies inventory management and sales tracking. The ability to customize features and accept various payment methods enhances its flexibility. However, there are occasional technical issues, but support is responsive though I believe it can improve further. Overall, it's a reliable solution for managing both in-store and online sales.
Pros
It is very intuitive and friendly user for someone with little experience in the ecommerce sector.
Cons
Its seamless integration with the Shopify online store, making it easy to manage inventory, sales, and customer data all in one place. The user-friendly interface and the ability to accept multiple payment methods were also major advantages.

Great for instore orders.
Shopify POS has greatly helped to streamline our instore ordering process and saved a lot of pen and paper work.
Pros
We use Shopify POS to manage our walk in orders, it links directly to our stock levels on our main site and is easy to use.
Cons
Some apps don't integrate with POS so some products in which we have multiple options, that usually require an app, need to be input manually.

best popular e-commerce platform used by businesses of all sizes to set up and manage online...
Shopify offers extensive customer support through various channels, including live chat, email, and phone support. They also provide a wealth of resources and guides to help you set up and manage your store.

Must have POS Software
Although there are some minor imperfections, I continue to utilize Shopify POS because it remains the most user-friendly point-of-sale solution for my business. Moreover, I find the pricing to be reasonable.
Pros
Setting up and utilizing Shopify POS proved to be a fast and effortless process. Since I had already established my online store using Shopify, all I had to do was install Shopify POS on my iPhone, and I was ready to begin selling. The seamless integration between my store and the POS system for managing products, customers, and orders made the entire management process highly efficient.
Cons
Honestly, I don't have any significant criticisms about Shopify. If I were to mention a minor drawback, it would be that not all features are included by default, and additional apps are required for certain functionalities unless you opt for Shopify Pro.

Shopify is an easy, but expensive option.
Shopify was easy to setup and integrate. However, their fee structure was cost prohibitive for the type of print on demand business I was starting.
Pros
Shopify integrates well with other platforms like Etsy for seamless integration of print on demand products.
Cons
Shopify had an expensive fee model that made it one of the more expensive options.

Easy to Master
Shopify provides a simple, easy to master platform on which to layer our eCommerce shop.
Pros
e-commerce customers enter their orders, information is transmitted to our DC, the DC transmits back shipping information, the shipping information is emailed to the customer and we get paid.
Cons
It still programs in computer language. Changing content isn't as simple as it could be for non-programmers like most of the users/admins probably are.

Fantastic Product!
It has been so good! I have the ability to market world wide from Zimbabwe and the website never goes down.
Pros
I find it very easy to use and their customer support is fantastic! I have had very few problems in the 8 years I have worked with them that they couldn't solve.
Cons
I would like to say nothing but once in a while a template is a bit of a challenge but that may be more to do with my abilities than them.

I recommend to everyone starting a business
I’m
Pros
It is beginner, friendly, but also an advanced software. You can do as little or as much as you want with it with hardly any limitations. There are so many apps, available and themes that you can create yourself. I absolutely love it.
Cons
I don’t have anything negative to say about Shopify really. If I hadn’t come up with some thing, it would be that not everything is built-in and you do need an app for a lot of extra things if you don’t wanna go with Shopify pro.
