Great mailing platform
Easy to setup, I like how they instruct you to setup your mailing domain in an optimal way and guide you through the process.
Pros
The overall design of the platform as well as the email builder is one of the best i've seen. It makes it possible for even novice users to design templates and send email campaigns.
Cons
Price is a bit high compared to some open source and self hosted options like OemPro but for a SASS product its still pretty good.

MailJet Email Software is Best for Experienced Marketers
The delivery of emails and the stats is very detailed is their strong point so you get the complete picture of your campaigns.
Pros
The system they use to send and deliver your emails is well done, but can get quite detailed. Keep in mind this is how your mails get a high deliverablility.
Cons
This softward is strongly designed for team colaboration, and the learning curve is quite high. I also tried to contact support and it took them a long time to get back to me, and then several exchanges by email to get my inquiry solved.
Reasons for Choosing Mailjet
I was going to buy email marketing from my website hosting service, but learned they used a white label of MailJet. So I went right to the source to ty the free option to see how I liked it. I didn't.Switched From

Steer clear if you're looking to send a large volume of emails
Overall, if you want to send a little bit of email with webhooks and api calls, this will work. If you're sending large scale campaigns, it could ruin your email list size because of the lack of functionality around reengagement campaign parameters.
Pros
The sales people and customer support were very nice. If you were looking to use the free tier or send low volume of emails then MailJet will do the job (ie: in place of MailChimp) however, if you're looking at this v's constantcontact or sendgrid, selligent etc then I would definitely not go with MailJet.
Cons
MailJet do not want clients to use them as a databasing tool which means, if you have a segment of users who are engaged and opened 20 times in the last 30 days and you want to get those email addresses to push into facebook to find a look alike audience...you can't. MailJet won't let you get that data.
They also blacklist your softbouncing emails in the background and limit the characters in subject lines.

Overall, my experience is positive. I wish there was a way to customize image padding (more than what's available, once it's been inputted in. Another function that can use some work would be the spacing between paragraphs. It would be nice to be able to create different spacing within the same text box without all of the text adapting to the same space size. Otherwise, uploading contact lists and creating email templates has been seamless.
Pros
I like that it's easy to use and pretty intuitive for first time users.
Cons
What I like least is you can't control the optimization of mobile design, that it'll automatically scale larger or smaller than a phone screen. You can't design for one platform (desktop) without considering how it'll appear on mobile, since it's not mobile optimized.

One of the best news letter service
Overall they are offering good services in the budget if you want to build and send a newsletter weekly.
Pros
Easy to use newsletter builder included, Can test the service a free plan including 6000 mails per month. Can be used as a mail delivery service such as an SMTP.
Cons
Required monthly subscription if you are sending more than 6000 emails per month. Somehow costly as compared to other services.

Mailjet was challenging
Overall I left Mailjet. The cost involved was too high. Customer service was not great. The interface was nice but didn't out weight the cons.
Pros
Mailjet was a great resource for creating engaging emails. The creative tools for making emails were very easy to use. Creating powerful engaging emails was very quick and the end result was exactly what I was looking for on the creation side of the platform.
Cons
So unfortunately I was unable to continue using Mailjet. The cost involved is pretty competitive but still very expensive. I came into some problems with a few of my emails and the customer service was underwhelming. They made things very challenging. I missed a few planned emails with specific deadlines due to not being made aware of the problems going on. Unacceptable. So I switched.

Everything seemed nice, until they froze my account
Pros
We chose Mailjet because it had packages based on the amount of messages sent. We do not store any contacts and we only use this service for transactional emails. It also comes with an easy-to-use API.
Cons
We were using Mailjet for our service. One day, we received an email that our account has been compromised and it was suspended. We tried to contact their support team multiple times over 7 days, asking them to give us some more information about the emails that were being sent. We also informed them that we changed our password and our API keys. They didn't even reply to us and they closed our tickets, damaging our product.

Transactional Email That Covers 90% Of Use Cases
MailJet has been a drop in replacement for Madrill. It has been more than adequate for all of my transactional emailing needs.
Pros
After using MailJet as a replacement for Mandrill for the last 2 years, I can fully recommend it. I use it for transactional email and I can send 6000 per month on the free tier. More than enough for my use case. I like the templates and templating language. Setting up sender domains and authenticating them is a doddle. Using the API is also painless with the excellent API documentation.
Cons
The only thing I dislike is that there are almost too many options. This isn't a bad thing per se, but I have probably only used about 25% of the available tools/reporting etc. I also have no need for the campaign tools and would prefer it if Mailjet only concentrated on transactional emails.

I would not recommend it, Mailjet is a frustrating experience
Learning to control my frustrations easier :)
Pros
- cheap, compared to other email marketing tools
- customer support was not that bad
Cons
I would have a lot to write here. Here's a few:
- server breaks down often and the entire platform is unreachable (therefore, you can not send your newsletters in due time)
- poor templates, compared to other email marketing tools (no html editing available, only import)
- a looot of small, frustrating errors (faulty reports, empty reports exactly when you need them, the test email not being sent, changes in templates not saved and you have no clue why)
- no auto-clean option for the contact lists
- quite poor segmentation options for the contact lists

we are sorry to hear that your experience on Mailjet was frustrating.
As you said, we do offer a very competitive price, but we do our best to remain an accessible and reliable platform. That¿s why customer feedbacks are highly valuable.
We constantly improve our template gallery, this said, we take your remark into consideration and forward it to our design team.
About the html, you can already upload & modify your templates on Mailjet. More infos about this here: https://www.mailjet.com/docs/templates#templates-create-gallery

Good value for money
Overall, I am very much glad to have a pocket friendly marking too.
Pros
It is easy to get started with all the options and the best feature is to schedule the emailers. Also, the reports are good enough for normal email marketing.
Cons
There should be a feature to show the click heat map, that would be helpful is getting better insights on writing the emailer content and links etc.

Mailjet: our choice for transactional emails
Mailjet helps us delivering hundreds of transtactional and confirmation emails connected to our web projects. It never fails. One of the most reliable providers I have ever met in my career.
Pros
Mailjet offer various plans based on the size of your projects (there is even a fully functional free one for very small projects). It is very easy to set up, it gives you a lot of different choices to setup domain authentication (preventing your emails to become spam). No frills, everything in its right place and always working.
The interface is very clear in order to communicate to developers which data they should use to integrate their software with mailjet email service, and what to do to avoid black listing, spam, etcetera
Cons
Sometimes their service for automatic detection of domain owners is blocked by firewalls. Thus you need to be able to edit your domain's DNS setting to authenticate the sender.

We've had multiple problems with Mailjet cutting us off or going down but like the ability to...
Pros
Ability to search by email address to see the list of emails sent. What's great is that it shows the email subject and status so you can show what was sent, when and when it was delivered.
The hooks are ok
Cons
Very manual process to get someone unblocked and can be slow.
If they are blocked, you still get charged for the email. The email doesn't get queued, so it's lost...
We've also had a problem with our server config so that it sent thousands of email requests to an email address that didn't exist (the mx record didn't even exist!!). We didn't receive an alert of this and got charged hundreds of pounds.
We note that with SendGrid we can just click a button to unblock someone. Saves so much time and makes our clients happy. We're considering swapping to be honest; but they don't show the email subject

So horrible I had to create an account here just to write a review!
Horrible, horrible, horrible.
Pros
The design / looks were the only positive that I could take. While the product is extremely irritating due to the limited functionality and horrible product thinking, the UI/UX designers have done a good job.
Cons
Oh, so much. Here are a few things that it falls short in when compared to other mass emailers:1. Contacts management: You have very limited options in the way you want to upload / edit contacts. The multi-editing options are a joke, and there is no way you can send emails to some contacts in a list instead of all. Also, even to remove a contact from a list, you need to upload a freaking CSV file! I mean, did they never use their own product after creating it?2. The campaign editing options are extremely limited even in a paid version. Glad that I never paid them a buck.3. Creating contact properties is a big pain due to the functionality.4. Their email templates are a joke.5. Extremely limited options when designing emails.

Mailjet the best current mailing tool.
My experience as a Mailjet client has been wonderful both personally and professionally, especially in the company where we have the need to send notifications, advertising campaigns and promotional emails whose processes are evaluated in real time and also have the advantage that These shipments will be customized.
Pros
Mailjet is a very easy to use platform with very striking features, where I can observe all the results of the campaigns that are carried out, which allows us to use all the past content that is stored securely, all this historical we analyze it and We use to optimize our future strategies. A very interesting feature of this system is that we can send transactional and marketing emails from the same platform without incurring additional expenses.
Cons
I suggest that the customer support provided by Mailjet can be improved in the advisory aspect, however this does not prevent it from being considered a platform that is well structured.

Good mailing solution but not the best
Support are really good (but not abnswering quickly...). Job are nearly done : mail delivered but some go to SPAM folder because Mailjet server is know as mass mailing solution... Could be used for marketing but probably not interested to transactional email
Pros
this make the job we used for : send mail throught smtp and delivery ASAP
Cons
some mails are tagged as spam and so never read by receiver. We can go on next level on MailJet to have private IP but price is no more interesting compared on other competitors with more reputation

For use beyond transactional email, leaves questions
Low cust
Pros
It is a service with Low cost, Easy API and best Doc. The value pays off if you are a startup. But you will have to revisit your choice when you grow up.
Cons
For simple email sending, Mailjet works as a charm,
But from the moment you started using other features like Mail Automation, you started the problems, and the support ticket openings. I have two ticket open, and one without solution yet.
If I start a new business, probably Mailjet will not be my choice. Unfortunately changing now, is not ideal, because I prefer to dedicate myself to other subjects.
The service is not bad at all. Only this Email Automation that does not seem to be ideal for production.

MailJet better than Most
Overall, it changed my life for the better. I have a newsletter that I send out to almost 5,000 weekly. Mailjet has earned me new business, makes it EASY to create my newsletter. I haven't mastered segmentation yet, but, out of all the other platforms. Mailjet took me to a higher level with better "reach". I would recommend this to anyone that truly wants to increase their marketing exposure.
Pros
For me, mailjet came in right on time. I had tried Mailchimp, Sendgrid and a few others. I like that you can do more in a quick period of time. The "template maker" is relatively easy to use, to those that are familiar with making on line newsletters. If this is our first time to this rodeo, it will have a slight learning curve, but nothing that will take you out the game. I like that you can add MANY MORE subscribers for a lot less money than the other places
Cons
I HATE the "Subscription Boxes", they are NOT user friendly, and you can only do HTML. Someone needs to do these over. They are kinda sucky. Just the entire "subscriber addition" platform needs a do over

I finally found my ultimate mailing solution
1. I don't have to write and design emails manually.
2. I get a very scaleable sending solution with zero efforts.
3. The templating engine lets me easily put a face of a big operation, while I work from my basement.
Support was friendly, not always very efficient, but solved most of my issues, or at least pointed me in the direction. I'm in the free tier yet, so can't complain too much.
Overall I'm super happy with mailjet. Thank god you guys exist.
Pros
This is the perfect solution for my needs: I define the email templates in a nice editor, get an ID, and then from my application i just call a command to send that email using the ID, along with my parameters. And somebody else (who is way better than me in this) is taking care of the sending, spam, opened/read etc. It works great, requires very little from my side, looks like it is ready to scale, I'm very happy!
Cons
The email editor is where i spend most of my mailjet time. It is very good, but could be even further improved. Working with variables could be better and easier, validation at the editor could help in avoiding errors later, etc. But again, the tool gets A today, and I'm asking for A+.

Be aware: very poor customer support and sales
Good technical platform, but useless support and sales. Bad / non existent customer sucess management. They really should invest more in there support staff.
Pros
Technical features of platform. Plattform is inuitive
Cons
The support is horrible / not existent. They definitly do not understand customer needs. Here is our latest example:
In our last mailing we worked with an older list to re-engage our older subscribers. In this specific campain we had a bounce rate of nearly 19% (which is without a doubt very high). On Friday Night MailJet deactivated our account without any warnings. By today (sunday evening) it is still not reactivated or working.
This is definitly not what I expect from a professional SaaS company where I have a paid subcription.

Faultless Service
It's a solid relay service which I can wholeheartedly recommend.
Pros
It's an excellent mail service that I've had zero problems with. No outages, nothing. Which means I have no headache in trying to get something to work or maintain it.
Cons
Nothing, I honestly can't think of anything other than it's not free, but I pay a pittance for what I do get to use, which I can't complain about because it's so well priced.
