Love using open table
It's awesome to use and very user-friendly. You can create and cancel a reservation and you can see how busy a restaurant is if you're trying to book.
Pros
I love how it lets me pick out the details and specific times and to let them know if it's for a special occasion or not. It's awesome too, that you earn points. That can go towards things.
Cons
As of right now, I don't have any issues with open table.

Good reservation software but not pricing friendly
The software serves its purpose adequately, allowing customers to easily spot my restaurant's name on the list. It doesn't bring much joy or disappointment, but it is primarily intended for marketing purposes. The overall experience is moderate, with no significant highs or lows.
Pros
The reservation software is commendable in terms of functionality and features. However, it may not be particularly accommodating in terms of pricing.
Cons
The cost of utilizing it is rather steep, especially considering its sole functionality of making reservations.

Toast POSReasons for Switching to OpenTable
I have been contemplating the idea of transitioning our reservation system from OpenTable to Toast. However, I am still deliberating on the most effective approach to market this change to both our existing and potential customers.- Industry: Insurance

OpenTable Feedback
It feels like it is a necessity for restaurants to have this platform in order to succeed and OpenTable takes full advantage of it by squeezing as much as they can with monthly fees as well as per person booking fees.
Pros
Ease of use for both customers and restaurants.
Dominates market share for booking reservations.
Cons
Very expensive with variable cost depending on bookings from OpenTable platform versus the restaurants own booking networks.
Huge market control makes it almost impossible to succeed as a restaurant if you are not using them.
No clear or transparent way to accurately sort what reservations were made through OpenTable and what weren't when invoicing.
There is no option to rate diners the same way as restaurants are reviewed so you can select the best customers and decline and the rest during busy times.

OpenTable Makes Dinner Plans Easier
OpenTable has helped my family and friends make lunch and dinner plans on the go! It helps us all get ideas of great local restaurants, and then choose a date and time to meet, without having to wait in long lines outside.
Pros
My favorite thing about OpenTable is that you can make reservations directly through the app, and you get email reminders up to the date of the reservation. It helps keep your guests aligned with the date and time!
Cons
I feel like not all restaurants are on OpenTable! I wish they would broaden their reach so that the majority of the restaurants around us could participate in it.

Sisserou's Restaurant
Pros
The POS integration and that it is widely used by patrons as a go to reservation source.
Cons
Would like more customizable reporting features on the back end and shortcut features on the floorplan view for hosts. We used Yelp prior to switching to OpenTable and their user interface for hosts had more shortcut features that our hosts do miss.

Good but $$$$!
Pros
Customer service is always spot on and helpful.
Cons
Cost to run promotions is too high. If I pay $7.50/pp, I lose money.

Love the App and Love the Rewards System
I have been using OpenTable for over six years (since 2018). I have accumulated wealth of points, rewards, and enjoy OpenTable VIP status and absolutely love my experince with this app. I only wish that more restaurants would adopt the app for their reservation system because it is so easy to use. Everytime I use to app, I always have my table waiting when I arrive at the restaurant. Beautiful!
Pros
I love that OpenTable is so intuitive and easy to use to book reservations. I have been using OpenTable since 2018 and have accummulated OpenTable VIP status with over 150+ booked and completed reservations. They have an awesome rewards system where you can redeem OpenTable points for cool things like Amazon gift cards.
Cons
I have one "if only" for OpenTable. If only. . .you could change the day of a reservation that is already booked, it would be GREAT! Currently, you can only change the time of the reservation. You cannot add people and you cannot change the day to an already booked reservation. You have to go in and cancel to start over.

Pros
I love the ease of making reservations. You can book in advance or find reservations same day depending on availability. It is easy to use and I love to utilize it for busy restaurants.

Open Table For The Win!
So far our experience with open table has been great. Plea t if training, plenary of excellent communication and plenty of new business. The ability to make notes about our customers needs, wants, likes and dislikes is a great tool. Tracking our reservations is obviously very helpful, seeing our calendar booked out is wonderful, and gathering customer details for future communication and business is also a huge bonus.
Pros
We live in a small area and not a lot of restaurants use Open Table (assume due to the cost), so right off the bat this system is a win for us because it’s a tourist town. People come from other areas and are used to using this platform, so to be one of the few restaurants that’s available to make reservations is an incredible opportunity for us. It’s organization and marketing in one. We covered our monthly subscription in 1 night of use.
Cons
No complaints so far! We are new to using this system, but so far the training has been great, as has the business we’ve received using the system.

Go to reservation app
Love it, helps me keep track of business and personal reservations and it’s makes scheduling easier on me
Pros
Great and convenient for scheduling reservations, it prevents you from having to speak with staff at an establishment. You can leave notes regarding your reservations and it has the option to place the event on your calendar
Cons
Maybe they could add a check in feature once you arrive at the location to notify the establishment that you are there. But overall the product is great

Easiest way to make a reservation
Pros
I love that I don't have to call into a restaurant. Instead, I can make a reservation conveniently from my phone at any time and ensure that we are correctly in the restaurant's system. I can even leave notes for the owner.
Cons
There have been times where it doesn't allow for us to make a reservation but there is indeed capacity at the restaurant. I think this is more of an error on the restaurant's end.

Awesome app!
I have been using open table for a few years now! Ease of access when it comes to a fancy date nite!
Pros
I liked that I was able to book a table instead of driving and finding out there was a long wait!
Cons
The only downside, is that it’s not availiable in every town, or for every place to eat!

Everyone should use this.
Overall, OpenTable is my go-to for making reservations, even if I am already on google looking up locations, I will open the Open Table app on my phone to make the reservation.
Pros
I feel like a sense of control. You can lookup restaurants in any desired area and scroll through to find out where you're going to eat. Once you find a place you can easily make a reservation straight from the app and invite others. Great for when dealing with indecisive people.
Cons
I don't like that restaurants can charge you for cancelling, but OpenTable does inform you beforehand and it is the restaurant that is imposing the charge not OpenTable. Also, some places OpenTable only has a contact number for, but that usually only happens when it is a small ma and pa shop.

Pros

My Take on OpenTable
My overall experience with OpenTable is nice. I enjoyed using this app and I like it when I get reservations and places to go to eat.
Pros
What I like about OpenTable is that I can reserve a table, view places to eat, find cuisines, enjoy, and meet people. Also, to view the menus, specials, and promotions, and see OpenTable's rewards systems.
Cons
There is not much I dislike or hate on OpenTable so far but it's fine and nice so far. So far, so good for me when it comes to OpenTable.

Perfect solution for a busy traveler
We downloaded this for a business trip because I knew we would be looking for places to take clients for lunch and dinner. It worked perfect for our needs. We also use it for travel baseball, because we spend at least two weekends out of town each month, and looking for places that can accomodate or trying new spots to eat can be a full time job. Opentable makes it easy to search up and make a reservation, and it's just a few clicks. Very easy to use, and we've told all the baseball parents about it.
Pros
Ease of use, and selection of resteraunts. Great to highlight availability, and integrates well with a scheduling software.
Cons
They are focused on high end establishments, which are ones that take reservations. But they are missing an opportunity for groups, or places that can place a last minute group, like a travel baseball team or a business team meeting.
