2. Also, the compliance and rules they follow and explain is also very helpful for small companies where safety manager is not available.

Cons

I have not some to any such shortcomings so far. But sometimes, notification emails or alerts are not triggered on time.

The location of some of the pages is not as intuitive as i'd want. I also dislike how difficult it is to search for a specific thing through the search feature.

The samsara video display is fantastic for live time video displays current and old recordings gives required proof to all incidents and to all drivers gives them potential of hazards that surround them while staying focused on driving and there surroundings

The thing that I liked least about samsara is that there is no video feed to the rear of truck also some times video is blurry

Ease of use. User friendly interface and plenty of online instruction through Samsara Acadamy. Great way to dispatch drivers and track KPIs. Samsara provides a variety of standardized reports and makes report customization simple.

It's difficult to criticize, the site is quite easy to navigate and contains a plethora of useful data. For the purpose of constructive criticism, perhaps the site could include colors to make the data easier to scan and categorize for the user.

The hotspot and electronic logging device makes it very easy for our drivers to connect to any vehicles. Our drivers do a lot of slips leading and are not assigned to a specific truck. How easy it was for our drivers to change over to samsara it was a very simplistic system for them to learn and they caught on very quickly. Very few driver complaints and when there is one it's resolved quickly.

Cons

The extensive amount of new things they bring into the program make it almost impossible to keep up. It can be overwhelming for a company that has only one staff member for the safety department. There are a lot of things they offer that you just do not even have time to learn or utilize. I would prefer to be a little more simplistic.

Customer support, If you need help you will die trying to get someone from support to help you
instead os help they overrun you with emails from 6 or 7 representative asking same thing at same time and make you loose track of the conversation, also, after 30 min or 1 hour they rush to hang up on you to keep going, poor knowledge from the team explaining you contracts breakdowns

What's not to like, it's easy to purchase, easy to install, easy to use. People will say the same about others but we've tried others and Samsara has been the best with the equipment, customer service help, product has been working great for the past 7 years.

The only thing I can say that it is always 30 seconds behind on the GPS.

Broad range of products, best products on the market. I like that I can call my Rep [sensitive content hidden] at any time and assistance with existing products and services and get the same level of interest and commitment that I received when he sold it to me. He supports what he sells.

The customer service and reporting a problem through the system. If I call my rep it's great customer service. If I can't get in touch with him or I used the reporting on line it takes far to long to get help and resolution

So far we have found all aspects of Samsara to be great. I have been able to make our Truck Drivers safer by utilizing the safety score feature and adding it to our bonus structure.

I have had to update a lot of area on our maps for Speed as we are very rural and some area did not have any speed limits associated which caused my drivers to have speeding violations when they were not speeding.

Samsara has given us the ability to track the usage of our rental units much better than anything before. Knowing how often a unit is running helps not only capture lost revenue on rentals but also gives us the opportunity to stay more inline with manufacturer maintenance schedules to keep our equipment running in peak condition.

Some of the features that Samsara offers do not translate well in the equipment world. They seem to be more geared towards logistics and freight hauling.

THEY WILL TELL YOU THAT YOU WILL GET FEATURES TO GET YOU IN THE DOOR AND THEN TURN THEM OFF FOUR YEARS LATER UNLESS YOU PAY $4000.00 MORE PER YEAR BEWARE.

Their pricing used to be good. But now they are jumping up the pricing. THEY WILL TELL YOU THAT YOU WILL GET FEATURES TO GET YOU IN THE DOOR AND THEN TURN THEM OFF FOUR YEARS LATER UNLESS YOU PAY $4000.00 MORE PER YEAR BEWARE.

I like that Samsara is very easy to install and setup. The phone app is very useful on service call to locate the driver. Great for dispatch to plan when drivers should be back to the yard.

The camera could have better viewing area in some trucks but still not horrible.

The ability to live monitor vehicles in route and review previous days driving habits.

the AI system incorrectly flags alerts that are not accurate.
ie. Harsh Break, yet the truck never once decreased in speed.
*or Crash Alert, yet the vehicle is parked on the side of the street and the camera doesn't pick up any vehicles around and no damage witnessed.
*or Speeding - Vehicle is on a 60 mph posted highway yet the system says they are on a 35 mph side street and incorrectly flag the truck as speeding, deducting points from our team.
*or When we dismiss these events or try to inform the AI system that it is wrong their is no proper indication that the points have been corrected and if our driver score been updated correctly.

Pros

We most liked the visual set up of the overall online platform. It was very easy to retrieve the data needed and extremely easy to rename vehicles/assign drivers/view miles and fault codes, etc. Samsara offers all the features we were looking for in a GPS tracking platform: visibility, real-time tracking, trip history, IFTA information, and fault codes.

I am reviewing Samsara because we used them at my previous company. I cannot say there is anything we disliked about Samsara. Ultimately we did not renew our contract after our initial 3 year term due to the company downsizing considerably and could not justify the cost. But we rarely had issues with the hardware or software and everything was fairly easy to install and operate.

Pros

Most companies wanted to sell the setup and reporting structures, which is expensive. SAMSARA built a great framework that allows US to decide how and what we see.

Mobile app could use more funtionality, including "Coverage"
