ANGEL security was awesome!!!!!

over all very pleased!!!!!!! except the updating part!!! very stressful !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! every year!! like taking a major exam!! each year they ask for updates and each year it is more technical, and extreme even with some savy computer people like applying for a bar exam to be a lawyer!!

Pros

the ease to process payments and the response entering to the bank account

Cons

the high fees!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! and the updating every so many months!! keeps on changing!! very stressful!!!!!! does not always benefit clients!! like taking a Bar Exam!! or applying for a mortgage !!!!!!

With clover you can’t go wrong

I opened a store in the local mall with very little time for buildout and hire let alone learn then train new staff on a POS system I didn’t know myself yet. But thankfully the equipment came on time and was such a breeze to learn that I thanked them then and I thank them now

Pros

Ease of use. I have a retail store and some of the employees are a bit older and some are high school age. But no matter what group they fall in they all get the flow of the system

Cons

The processing charges. I’m not going to lie for anyone. The ease of use is offset by the cost of use. But still well worth it.

The machine works fine but customer service is terrible

Have made 4 calls with extreme wait times each time. I was tossed around from person to person and never got anywhere. After an hour of waiting and re-explaining the reason for my call, the line went dead. They ask for a call back# in case you get disconnected but no one has ever called me back. I scheduled a call back and never received it. It is difficult to communicate with many representatives. When you call, it is no surprise that they have to mention they won't tolerate abusive behavior. Very frustrating experience. There was a miscommunication and a device was sent to me in error and charged to an account that it should not have been charged to. When I called they said it couldn't be returned or refunded. When I got transferred to yet another dept, the line went dead. Now what?

Pros

The machine and online dashboard work well and are easy to use.

Cons

The phone support is atrocious. Getting through to someone is a lengthy process and the technology doesn't always function as it should. My calls were disconnected and no one has ever followed up with me, so I go through the process all over again. It is still unresolved.

Clover Review

We switch ed from Quickbooks POS to Clover years ago. Clover has been great! It was easy to load all inventory from a spread sheet. A few items needed correction after transfer but for the most part the transition was incredibly easy. It also has saved us a ton of money with the credit card processing fee feature. I like it and do refer it to friends and others in business.

Pros

I currently use Clover for my retail wholesale business. I have multiple locations. The system works great for us!

Cons

Backend work generally requires a call to customer service. But for the most part it is easy to use.

DO NOT USE CLOVER

Not good. It was good for a while but the random cutting us off was unacceptable and demand for continued lease payments is exceptionally unacceptable.

Pros

There is absolutely nothing different about this processor except that are the only ones who ever ripped us off.

Cons

They randomly sent us a notification of stopping payment service. Kept our customers transactions and then expect us to finish paying on a lease of equipment we can no longer use. Horrible customer service, can randomly cut you off and keep your money?? not sure how this is not criminal, but will be reporting to the Attorney General of our state.

Good Basic Device, very poor software

Works well as a basic POS platform but does not do what it claims it can do as far as inventory management. Has too many 3rd party apps needed at a cost that isn't worth the value of service it provides.

Pros

Easy setup, good looking equipment. Definitely a step up from tablets as far as dependability.

Cons

Doesn't actually have an inventory management or reporting that works for any size restaurant. Can only track cost of items, but nothing modified can be tracked. Throwing off cost by up to 30% and making the function completely useless.
Does not allow online lunch menus to show up at specific times.
Does not allow for specials or discounts to be applied to online ordering.

Point of Sale - endless options

My experience has been positive. as a user, it is very convenient for dealing with costumers.

Pros

I like how universal the system is. With the numerous options for how to serve costumers.

Cons

The product gets quite pricey with additional costs and transaction fees. This can cause issues when dealing with small businesses and/or tight budgets.

My Clover Review & Experience

Pros

I liked the POS system however it has a learning curve. After playing around with it for a couple weeks I was able to better navigate the device. It was a very easy setup.

Cons

Not what I thought it was going to be like. I was not informed of the additional charges and App Store fee. It was difficult to integrate online booking and salon management with this system. I ultimately had to change. I think it is a wonderful system for maybe a restaurant or other type of business not for salons or spas - in my opinion.

We needed an upgrade from QBM.

We love the web-based back office. Checking sales from my phone and being able to check orders in real-time has been the best management tool.

Pros

Plug and pay. Clover really is, "plug and pay" we were able to start using it as soon as the machines arrived. We also were able to get a replacement register drawer quickly when one just stopped working.

Cons

Our menu was not completely programmed when the machines were sent this was a bit of a hassle. After some back and forth we were somewhat satisfied with the items programmed and we could take it from there.

Alternatives Considered

Square Point of Sale and Toast POS

Reasons for Choosing Clover

QBM or Quality Business Machines was a failing software that was not integrated with any credit card solution or processor. We were not able to read the reports or manage our cash flow.

Reasons for Switching to Clover

Clover was recommended by First Data our credit card processor.

AWFUL FOR SMALL BUSINESS

It was terrible from day one. They got my bank account information wrong. Then they got my address wrong.Every time I spoke to a different person.I was quoted to hit the feet when I finally decided to go and sign up with them.I thought everything was gonna be OK.And so far over the past 2 months.New hidden FEES that popped up and evidently. They can do this whenever they want to.

As a small business that sometimes does not even process credit cards every month they charge you monthly minimums. They don't tell you about. They say they'll take care of it.No one ever calls you back.Nobody emails you back.Do not use the business people I know haven't charged? His cancelation fees. This is the absolute worst processing service out ther

Pros

So far nothing.

It is a nightmare in every way.

Cons

LIARS. SCAMMERS WITH HIDDEN FEES.

FEES ADDED AFTER SIGNING UP.

TERRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE.

NEVER USE!!

Easy to use and looks appealing

Good, have used them at our veterinary practice for the past 4 years. Customer service and sales are easy to work with when we need to replace/upgrade

Pros

They handhelds are easy to transport and are visually appealing, especially with the new upgrades. Easy to use and print end of night reports, easy for techs to bring into rooms to check clients out

Cons

It is to easy to accidentally refund a clients card if you hit the wrong button, wish that it would connect to our PIM system (AviMark). No stylus or pen provided for clients to sign their name

Quick and Easy Payment Processing

Pros

What I enjoy most about Clover is how simple and useful the machine is. It sits on my desk right beside me while sitting on the charger. The customers also like this machine, which allows them to use tap/Apple Pay and to manually enter their card information if they do not have their card physically with them

Cons

The only thing that I dislike about Clover is that when the machine is close to dying, the printer does not work correctly.

Beware of Clover

We were switched over forcibly from Payeezy to Clover with little to no heads up. We literally walked into the office one day and couldn't access Payeezy. Not that Payeezy was that great either, but I could always rely on them to get our deposits. With Clover, they seem to think the depositing part of credit card payments is optional. Every time I call their customer service I end up speaking with 3+ people because no one knows what they are doing. It doesn't matter if you have a case open, they still can't figure out the right people to help you. Not that any of them can.

Pros

Nothing, this is the worst product I have ever worked with. We were with them for two weeks and they shorted us nearly $4,000 in deposits.

Cons

The customer service continues to give us the run around and I am usually on the phone with them for no less than an hour each time. The customer service is CARELESS and do not pay attention to details. We were shorted over $500 in our FIRST BATCH we ever ran with them. Then we were shorted $3300 on the another batch a week later. Their customer service follows-up but they follow up with the wrong details and don't see why not received this deposit is impactful. After less than TWO WEEKS with their service, I found another credit card processing company and switched over.
