Klaviyo is a Game Changer
Klaviyo has got some major perks—think advanced segmentation, in-depth analytics, and automation that’s perfect for eCommerce. It has helped us create personalized marketing campaigns based on how our customers are actually shopping, which means more engagement and better conversion rates.
Pros
Klaviyo has been a game-changer for our eCommerce marketing. We especially like the advanced segmentation, powerful automation, and in-depth analytics that have helped us create personalized campaigns based on our customer’s behavior. With seamless integrations, customizable templates, and SMS marketing, Klaviyo is versatile tool that has scaled our business, driving higher engagement and conversion rates.
Cons
While Klaviyo offers powerful features, there are a few drawbacks to consider. The pricing can become steep as your subscriber list grows, which may be a challenge for smaller businesses. The platform also has a bit of a learning curve, with its extensive features potentially overwhelming beginners.

MailchimpReasons for Switching to Klaviyo
Klaviyo and Constant Contact serve different needs, Klaviyo is designed primarily for eCommerce which is what we were looking for. Constant Contact is more general, catering to small businesses and nonprofits with simpler tools for newsletters and basic campaigns. Additionally, Klaviyo integrates seamlessly with major eCommerce platforms like Shopify, while Constant Contact’s integrations are more limited.- Industry: Information Technology & Services

Klaviyo, an essential tool for your online store.
For an online store, Klaviyo is an essential tool. I have several clients with whom I have implemented the tool and at least 40% of sales are thanks to the flows, registration pages and campaigns that I have implemented through Klaviyo. Indispensable if you want your online store to be successful.
Pros
The ease of use and ease of implementation with Shopify. In addition to the excellent tools for attracting customers, such as registration forms, automated flows and email campaigns that you can segment in great detail so that each message reaches the right customers.
Cons
The only problem is that for the Latin market, messaging via WhatsApp is more important than SMS, as the app does. This is something that needs to evolve if it wants to improve in the Latin market.

Klaviyo: Advanced Segmentation but lacking in SMS Capabilities
As a marketer, Klaviyo has been a game-changer for certain of my clients. Its powerful segmentation and automation tools allow me to create highly targeted and personalized email campaigns. This is perfect for some businesses, helping lead to increased engagement and sales. One things I wish they could do was improve the SMS capabilities to make a really robust platform that does specifically what some ecommerce clients need.
Pros
Klaviyo's best features include: 1) creating targeted campaigns and automating email workflows 2) detailed insights into email performance to be able to measure ROI 3) integrates with many ecommerce platforms and tools.
Cons
The biggest con is that advanced features can be complex to navigate. But also the cost, as pricing plans can be expensive, especially for small businesses or anyone with limited email marketing budgets. And an important one for certian users is that while Klaviyo offers SMS marketing, its much more limited compared to dedicated SMS platforms.

Great for small businesses
Friendly staff, and quick signup process. You can start your work right away! Getting something more specific like a dedicated IP address requires calls and so on. Overall a neat platform to get things started quickly for small businesses.
Pros
The signup and setup is very easy and straightforward
Cons
Having multiple sites is a huge pain since you have separate logins for each of them. Deliverability wonders sometimes like a blind man in a knob factory.

Overall, I love working in Klaviyo. I've used it as a solopreneur and also with a larger team.
Pros
Klaviyo's integration with Shopify and ability to create complex segments and flows is critical to maximizing marketing efforts and something that is very easy and powerful with Klaviyo.
Cons
Sometimes the support was lacking. It could take a while for the support team to understand what I was asking for help with.

More Than Just Emails...
Pros
Klaviyo provides a huge tech stack for e-com merchants underneath one umbrella - Email Campaigns, Flow Automations, Targeted Pop-ups, Customer Data Management and more. This reduces the need to duct-tape other tools together and helps deliver a more holistic experience for both the operator & consumers.
Cons
SMS is a huge brand opportunity for many clients and can drive a high ROI. However, credits for brands outside of the US are on average 2x more expensive which does erode the return. If Klaviyo could find a way to standardise/stablise credit costs between countries, more merchants outside of the US might uptake vs other competitor brands.

Great option if budget is no concern
Klaviyo def helped me grow my email marketing revenue and helped grow my business overall. It syncs well with many platforms, like Shopify, which makes rolling out campaigns super quick and easy.
Pros
Klaviyo was super easy to use. Platform was straightforward and easy to navigate. Customer service was always very responsive and helpful on any and every issue that I had. Findining freelancers to work on Klaviyo was also very easy.
Cons
It starts to get really expensive quite quickly as your subscribers increase. I was paying $600 a month before I cancelled my account and that is why I cancelled my account. Bento is a much better option and a much better value, which is what I use now.

Pretty good software with just one reservation
Pros
Integration abilities with other tools, flows/automation is very easy to setup, the tool is intuitive, other email tools do not offer SMS as well, so it is really good for e-commerce stores.
Cons
Pricing, other ESPs are priced more economically, which is favourable for a startup that is trying to scale. At times it is hard to justify the monthly fixed cost if you've had a hard month.

One of the Best Solutions for Internet Retail
Pros
Very easy-to-use platform, You can setup multiple types of automation campaigns specific to your type of retail. Abandoned Carts etc.
Cons
The pricing model is per store or site, We own about 6 different brands so not able to use sends between brands so have to be very selective of the plans required. Also, there was an auto plan where it automatically removes users that have unsubscribed and lowers the plan tiers.

Worth the price point if you have an audience
Overall I have had a good experience with Klaviyo. They do what they do well. I find them a little expensive, but I can't deny that they have a good quality product. I would recommend this product if you have an established email list, or if you have plans for growing a list quickly. Not sure the price tag would be worth it if you didn't have many clients to write to!
Pros
I find the email builder to be easy to use and the emails look good. The ability to choose different content based on desktop or mobile is HUGE for me.
Cons
My least favourite thing about Klaviyo is probably that you can only upload one image at a time. It's a small thing but it annoys me every time. Also, it bills based on profiles, and takes ALL profiles from your Woocommerce account whether they're signed up for email or not. When I made noises about this, they said I should reduce the number of profiles on woocommerce, but that would mean losing valuable customer data in an industry where customer relationships can last for decades.
Reasons for Choosing Klaviyo
We were interested in trying SMS, and I liked that Klaviyo allowed me to use email and SMS while avoiding sending both to the same customer at once. Full disclosure: I did end up swapping to Attentive for SMS because their sign up form got way more traffic in the free test.Switched From
MailchimpReasons for Switching to Klaviyo
The ability to set campaigns and journeys to behave differently if the customer was subbed to SMS and/or email. Again, I did end up swapping to Attentive for SMS, but I really do like Klaviyo for email.- Industry: Apparel & Fashion

Best tool for ecommerce
Pros
You don't need coding or a dedicated IT team to use Klaviyo and still you get to build all your transactional comms and tailor the experience for your customers. The documentation in Klaviyo Academy is amazing, other platforms give you articles, Klaviyo give you videos. Integrations work great, event if it takes a couple of minutes to trigger the actions.
Cons
They have a small delay in user-triggered actions. You can integrate with many many tools, but be patient with the triggers. Sometimes you may think you automation is not working properly but it's just that Klaviyo is taking a couple of minutes to pull the information from the third-party tool.

Klaviyo Is Great For eCom
We use Klaviyo regularly and it's great for email automations and campaign sends. Email marketing is a must for any eCom business and Klaviyo does it well. The only downside is the cost. It's starting to get super expensive as our list grows.
Pros
I like the automations, triggers, and data. Love that it integrates with shopify.
Cons
The cost is starting to get out of control. Getting really expensive.

Klaviyo: my most dynamic and complete online store thanks to email and sms marketing.
I am an architecture student who took the subject "Web Programming" for a whole cycle of university and even though my main focus was not on digital marketing, throughout the course of that subject I was able to understand how tools like Klaviyo can be essential for the success of an online business or more specifically when we create an online store in Shopify. I had to gain new knowledge while creating and customizing email templates, as well as integrating subscription forms into websites and many more functionalities. Finally, by using klaviyo I got a broader vision of the potential of digital marketing tools and how they can be applied in different professional contexts despite not being directly my field of work.
Pros
What I liked the most about this tool was that I was able to integrate it with Shopify and Leaflet to acquire email marketing, and it was really easy to use and I was able to create and automate email marketing campaigns efficiently. In addition, thanks to its advanced segmentation system, I was able to reach my target audience precisely, obtaining a higher opening and engagement rate. And another point that I found interesting is that it allowed me to use SMS marketing, despite the fact that this type of communication is not widely used today, I implemented it because it was a requirement of my homework at the university, but still I found it useful and interesting.
Cons
The only bad thing I found about this tool was that as the number of subscribers increased, the cost of Klaviyo also increased considerably, which can be a problem for people or companies with no income. In my case, my university paid for everything. I had no problem.

Klaviyo Lost It's Edge
It started off great, however, over time we noticed some severe issues with email deliverability, and pair that with an outrageous pricing structure that seemed to increase every quarter, it makes for a very bad experience. The lack of human response when you have an issue, while paying a premium price, makes us not want to recommend Klaviyo to any of our clients.
Pros
Their platform is robust, but their pricing plans are over the top, and it's no longer a good value.
Cons
The cost and the lack of human support are two of the biggest dislikes about Klaviyo.

Great Email Marketing platform
It's a great tool to communicate with your customers in an elegant way, both for campaigns and automated flows.
Pros
I liked the ability to integrate designed emails from Figma. It results in some really high-quality looking marketing emails. The email flows are also very productive for us.
Cons
I wish we could integrate our SMS too. We had to use another service because of our industry (alcohol) and the integration of the two platforms has proved difficult.
