Title your review

Both latest versions are great and were worth waiting for. The company has evolved the technology and keeps going. Software is only getting better as time passes.

Pros

Integration of the management of the customer's instruments and calibration capacities.

Cons

Lack of multiple languages. Regular Windows shortcust not alway avaible (cut/paste, etc).
Some module were not intuitive enough.

IndySoft Review Aug 18,2020

Overall this is going to make a huge improvement to our calibration process. Very happy with the software and the employees at IndySoft so far.

Pros

I like how you can customize the software to meet your sites needs. Implementation support is very knowledgeable and helpful in setting up the software with you.

Cons

I would like to see a chart on the homepage showing due, past due, and not due. Cloud-based software isn't fully 21 CFR Part 11 compliant without making the appropriate changes to the settings.

Calibration system Review

At this time, I am not really that happy with the software. Still working on getting things working.

Pros

Currently I do not have anything. I am having too many issue.

Cons

Everything is not at a glance.
Not all of the items are working. Still emailing due list manually after two years of using software.

If you like customization a lot this is your software

Using Indysoft 10 years ago is different than using it now since they really stepped up on their support. With so much available to learn on the software now they have built a library of information and they reach out using YouTube videos and tutorials which helps a lot.

Pros

Software can be tailored to whatever unique needs or applications you may have. Most software out there can be limited to whatever is canned by the designers. Indysoft is different in a sense that data can be exported in so many different ways and can be integrated to other software such as MetCal or Quickbooks but it requires familiarity with SQL to fully use its potential.

Cons

If you are the type of user that wants something basic to run your process out of the box then you might not like this very much. You will love this if you're familiar with coding since it's a very powerful software that needs steep learning curve.

IndySoft LIMS review

I am still learning the intricacies of IndySoft and there is a lot of capability that I am still not familiar with so far the experience has been fairly straight forward and simple to use. Shortcuts are key.

Pros

The amount of data that can be collected and the ability to customize.

Cons

Lack of intuitiveness for performing tasks such as data mining and report building.

Excellent calibration management software

Overall, my experience has been excellent. We mostly utilize the basic functions right now. However, the software is extremely powerful and we have only scratched the surface of what it can do. I look forward to leveraging more of the capabilities in the future.

Pros

It is easy to start with the basic calibration management functions and to rely on IndySoft for planning and scheduling.

Cons

There are several functions within the software that are just not intuitive. We struggle with creating custom reports which can be saved and rerun in the future. Configuring searches can also be a challenge and time consuming. This may very well be a training gap, which I have not had the time to explore.

Indysoft Techs

Customer service, especially [SENSITIVE CONTENT HIDDEN] is wonderful, [SENSITIVE CONTENT HIDDEN] struggled at times to help us but [SENSITIVE CONTENT HIDDEN] has been very helpful and on point. Any issues that have come up they have helped me to do exactly what I need to do. In terms of the software itself, it could be a little more user friendly for the non tech employees that need to use it but otherwise the biggest headache is the invoicing aspect.

Pros

It is a great calibration software, the customizations created by our office has made it more difficult, but Indysoft itself has been great.

Cons

For accounting purposes it was a nightmare, then trying to map those to our existing software when we realized we couldn't utilize the accounting aspects to invoice was even worse.

Premium Calibration Software

I run an internal lab inside a major manufacturing company, so I don't use all of the great IndySoft features available to a commercial lab - which are extensive. I have used this software for a decade now and am still impressed on how much functionality is available to make my life easier. Over the past few years, IndySoft support has reached new levels by offering 5 star support as well as weekly training videos. The people who work at IndySoft are very passionate about their product and really care about their customers. Something you don't see everyday.

Pros

Ease of use. Constantly being upgraded, adding new features. Well liked among technicians.

Cons

Like any software, it does take some time to fully understand all of the power and uses it has.

IndySoft does exactly what I need!

My overall experience with IndySoft has been great. The customer service is excellent and the software does exactly what it says it does.

Pros

It's intuitive and easy to use. The ability to customize the features is great for the usability.

Cons

I don't really dislike any aspects of IndySoft.

Product worth your investment

Pros

Software is very easy to use with links to different areas. The reports and certificates are easy to configure to your needs. Customer Support is a valuable asset that they offer as needed.

Cons

For our scale business is has some holes to fill to be better as a one source for Office management of customer data processing, sales and purchasing.

Great software

Total tracking of calibration

Pros

Ease of use and customer support. We use daily to maintain Global labs.Global Calibration management for accurate, repeatable, unassailable data

o Standardize lab practices

o Develop and Utilize State-of-the-Art test methods to provide the most useful, representative, and repeatable results.

Cons

At this time IndySoft is working great for are use. We are going Global with IndySoft as are main calibration support. We are looking at Maintenance Tracking system in IndySoft to track all test systems.

I am very satisfied.

Paperless system, 21 CFR part 11 compliance. Reduction data entry errors.

Pros

High configurability and creating customized reports are very helpful. System is very stable. Customer support is exceptional.

Cons

Unable to work simultaneously at more than one window. I believe this was fixed in latest version. Limited choices in calibration event for test results (pass, fail, limited)

We intentionally keep the cal results constrained because it is such critical data. If there are other results you would like to see, please let us know and we will consider adding them.

Also, we did add support for multi-instance use of the client in Version 11, so that will be there when you have a chance to upgrade!

Excellent calibration re-call system software

Helped tremendously with calibration ISO audit issues

Pros

Functionality is easy to use and to teach others to use. License cost is minimal compared to a lot of other programs and the yearly maintenance support fees are pennies compared to Fluke or Keysight.

Cons

Some of the help files aren't specific enough about creating reports. Changing the flow trees and display aspects are tricky but the Indysoft support crew is very willing to help create the exact feel for the needs one wants!

Pros

I can do most anything I want in the scripting.
Unlimited event types.
Customizable views and screens

Cons

Limited number of available fields in equipment finder results grid.
Limited vendor fields
Limited functionality of the Scheduling module (Linking multiple techs to a single WO job with multiple devices on it.)

I have used IndySoft for a few years now and have completely satisfied.

Since I use it everyday I notice things about the software beyond the obvious

Pros

Ease of use of the software ware. have been able to adapt our system with Indysoft. Have been able to add all our tooling under different company's to separate them.

Cons

Generating Reports is hard. Too many options to choose from. Maybe more training would help with generating reports.

Indy soft is a great software to use, there's so much you can use in it.

Pros

it is easy to use certain sections of the software, they always have nice upgrade in the software too.

Cons

I would like to learn to use more of the software, I wish there was more in person training for it.

Fantastic calibration management software. Indysoft is everything I could ask for.

Pros

It's very easy to export any lists into excel. Creating a picklist of equipment was a game changer for me. Now I don't have to look up every single piece of equipment one by one. I can create a list of all my selected equipment and manage much more easily.

Cons

There is nothing not to like about Indysoft. Once you fully understand how to operate the platform, everything is relatively easy. There is definitely a learning curve at first.

Always confused

My overall experience has been poor at best. Training is highly critical and there isn’t enough time to get all my questions answered.

Pros

I’m still in development for our use after a year. It’s a cross between poor training and my own inability to understand how to development indysoft for our use.

Cons

The difficulty in developing what we need out of this package.
