Hi Maria - we know how much of an impact gas costs can have on a small business and it's great that OptimoRoute has been of help. Our engineering team works daily on making sure we give our customers the best and shortest routes.

There is a way to use both your drivers! Simply select the "Balancing" option under Planning Settings when you click the Plan Routes tab. You can choose the option to "Balance routes and use all drivers", and make other adjustments if you like. If you're still having trouble, write to our support team at [email protected] and they will take care of everything!

We just recently launched a new feature called Drag and Drop which gives the dispatcher the ability to change the order of routes. That way, if your driver needs to change his orders list he can do it by reaching out to the dispatcher.

As for the notes, you can have your drives write notes and attach them to the task by activating our Proof of Delivery / Service feature. As for canceling mid-delivery, we currently have a feature in beta that has the ability to cancel services and appointments mid-route. However, this does not apply to physical deliveries. This is because the software needs to account for the remaining capacity in the vehicle in the event that new orders need to be planned with that driver after being sent out.

To help with the "avoid highways" scenario, many of our customers choose a third-party navigation app that includes the "avoid highways" option and activate that when they need it. As for saving phone numbers, for most of our customers the contact details for the end customer may change from day to day. Because of this, we give users the option to input the correct contact details for each day's orders.

As for alternate routes, OptimoRoute generates the optimal set of routes for your orders. All alternate routes are considered but the best one is picked.

Most companies let the AI drive the entire route optimization automation and workflow, which will provide the best optimized plans for operational efficiency and cost-savings. In addition, you can completely automate the delivery experience for each of your drivers, ensuring that they follow your preferred service workflow. The OptimoRoute Mobile App - allows you to pass any additional document to your drivers that can then be mandated for sign-off by your customers before the driver can complete his delivery. The driver can capture additional documentation - proof of delivery, barcode scans, photos, etc- saved forever in OptimoRoute.
