Your internal Social Media page
With Viva Engage, I am able to connect to my colleagues across several countries, have discussions with them, make announcements, make polls and praise colleagues who do great things. It allows people to get recognition and to share ideas. Furthermore, as a user you can have your own page where you can put your thoughts and ideas, allowing people to comment and discuss. The best part of it, is that you don't have adverts like you would have on social media pages, and hence you are able to keep everything very professional. It's just so easy to use.
Pros
Viva Engage is totally compatible with Microsoft Outlook and MS Teams and can be pinned as an app in the side bar, which means that a user can easily swap between those apps to make a post and return to their normal work.
Cons
When making a post where an image is included, it would be great if the user could adjust where the image will fit in the text, to give more purpose to the image.

Viva Engage is Cool, But is it Necessary?
It is neat but overall I feel overwhelmed by the sheer vastness of it
Pros
I appreciate the company wide communication that allows you to ask questions and speak with people you wouldn't otherwise have access to.
Cons
Because of the sheer vastness of available groups it is sometimes unclear where the best place to post is. Conversations digress quickly with a lack of monitoring from appropriate parties.

Great Tool to Build Community
Generally I’m very happy using Viva Engage. It provides me with a great option to communicate important information with my team, it also has a lot of fun interactive elements like emojis and gifs that allow for more personalized fun.
Pros
I love that it helps create a sense of community at work. It’s easy to create, design, and navigate Viva Engage sites.
Cons
For the most part my overall experience with Viva Engage is positive. The only minor feedback I have is the post sorting sometimes, it’ll default to new posts and when I switch the filter to all the posts will sometimes be out of order.

Yammer is a game changing tool. I trust it fully.
I would describe Yammer as a user friendly software which is affordable and secure for everyone.
Pros
Yammer is a software that brings a unique bond in our day to day interaction. Working together in one peace has always been my greatest desire. Yammer helped me to implement this since it creates a platform where ideas are exchanged, discussion and negotiations are also done in an orderly manner leaving everyone contented. The performance has risen gradually bringing more hope and motivation to achieve more.
Cons
It was not easy for us as a team to implement the tool especially in formation of groups and adding new members. However, after a thorough consultation internally, we sorted things fast and it is a great tool.

Tolerable experience, also program feels clunky
It's not very intuitive. And the similar colours of the program make it hard to differentiate what feed/channel you are on. It's not my choice of software for internal company communications.
Pros
I enjoy the ability to create different channels to segregate topics.
Cons
The feed is very overwhelming, and it's easy to miss posts. I also find some the apps doesn't register that you'd read something so it shows it to you twice.
I also don't like that there is an ability to alert the entire team with your posts- it gets over utilised and clogs up your msg box. Instead I feel they should stay within the channels just perhaps highlight thoa channels red and urgent rather than sending a msg to the inbox.

A cost effective way that has changed our productivity, decision making and saves us time.
Yammer has made transparency and productivity the pillars. I have high hopes with Yammer, the bond and commitment to achieving more and more will grow.
Pros
Yammer has a unique approach to bringing together people with common goals to keep connected and organized. This way, I was able to recognize the loopholes on the overall performance which gave me a chance to make the necessary adjustments. It keeps everyone informed on the proceedings by sharing valuable files and documents. It is quite secure and I can feel the change closer and closer everyday.
Cons
So far so good. No complaints from all parties. I had easy time since day one.

Understanding Yammer
Solid experience but underutilized. Didn't take off in our organization
Pros
It was part of MS Suite package or so it was affordable.
Cons
No one in the organization didn't use it they just shared content in MS Teams.
Also I think my colleagues didn't like the name "Yammer" it reminds me of Yams...

Largely positive experience with Viva Engage overall. We’re using it as our new internal comms platform and it’s being adopted across the org.

Viva Engage is a great enterprise social media for employees
Its a great platform that serves as an internal social media application for all employees of the organisation. Very easy to post articles and increase employee engagement.
Pros
Use it for knowledge sharing by posting articles on the any updates in the company such as business updates, quarterly company financial performance updates and any company news. Has the necessary interface for allowing the users to like and post their comments under every post
Cons

"Excellent platform for creating a network with your coworkers - Yammer"
Yammer provides a fantastic platform for informing the public about company-level activities. We can inform people about events, updates, outcomes, activities, etc. quickly. Additionally, we can attach media to increase engagement and traffic. It is a valuable asset to the company.
Pros
The best thing about Yammer is that it allows for informal communications within the company just like any other social media platform. You can communicate with others through posts and images, and you can leave comments with your ideas. It aids in stress relief.
Cons
I am unable to disable email notifications in my situation. It is pre-configured with a default value and cannot be altered. I get between two and four emails a day, but I check those in Yammer anyway, so I don't need those messages.

Yammer Review
Pros
Company-wide communication: Yammer offers a centralized communication channel where employees can share updates, announcements, and news with the entire organization. It helps foster transparency and keeps employees informed about important company-wide information.
Cons
Security and privacy concerns: Yammer's social nature raises concerns related to data security and privacy. Organizations need to establish clear policies and guidelines to ensure that sensitive information is not inadvertently shared, and they must define access controls and permissions appropriately to protect confidential data.

Yammer was a game changer
We were able to communicate key changes in the business that my team implemented that weren’t able to be emailed to all employees, but subscribers to our updates were able to see our improvements implemented each time we made a yammer announcement
Pros
Ability to create spaces and groups / teams for employee engagement was a game changer for my team. Because my team was so large and spanned over several countries and time zones, yammer improved employee engagement in the work place with the annual staff survey results showing an improvement in staff engagement with yammer being one of the key contributors mentioned by employees
Cons
Nothing specifically about yammer, we were kind of pushed by higher management to use yammer and our performance is rated on how effectively we use yammer in the work place

Communication Tool - Yammer

Pros
Yammer is a good communication tool within the organization for both personal and professional work. Through Yammer, we can share our knowledge and ideas in a funny way by sharing pictures, and recipes and get to know people in a friendly way. It is an easy-to-use platform.
Cons

Overall, I was satisified with my use of this app. It served it's purpose of a work-based social media platform.

Viva Engage - The Great Leverager of Microsoft Products
I've a company subscription to Microsoft 365, and Viva nicely integrates with many of it's components, therefore I can easily leverage work done originally for one purposes, to be applied easily to future needs.
Pros
I like Viva Engage because, as a Software Programmer, I use many Microsoft products and Viva is at their nexus. Viva allows me to pose questions which can be seen and answered by other programmers at numerous company locations all over the world.
Cons
The interface is somewhat cluttered.
Permissions are all to often set, such that postings which aren't within the purview of a given forum get in, and lead to time wasted sifting thru them.

Would totally recommend Viva engage!!
Overall I love Viva Engage. It kind of reminds you of a Facebook but for work space. You can make different community's to join and can share information all in one place. It also makes it a central hub for communications with co workers.
Pros
What I like most about Viva Engage is that it is a space where you and your co workers are able to engage in anything you want to create. It essentially is one place where you can communicate.
Cons
My least favorite thing about Viva Engage is sometimes while trying to find posts could be confusing if you don't have the feed when things are posted at first.

Important for social engagement across multiple disciplines!
I think that this tool can be used effectively if people are properly trained on how to use it. We have some teams that use Microsoft Viva Engage a lot, and we have others that have never heard of it. Encouraging using the tool is essential, and training your team on how to use the interface would be important.
Pros
It is good to stay informed about company updates. I like that we receive email updates directly about new information or posts.
Cons
Since there are so many people updating the tool across a large organization, not everyone uses the tool. Some of the social engagement is not relevant to every team. It is also not very intuitive to use. The use interface is not very simple to use.

Empowering Employees to Share Knowledge and Ideas
Pros
Yammer is a great platform for improving communication and collaboration, increasing employee engagement, and enhancing knowledge sharing within a company. It can also help to streamline information sharing, improve transparency, and reduce reliance on email. Overall, Yammer is a valuable tool for companies of all sizes that are looking to improve their internal communication and collaboration.

Huge Fan of Viva Engage! Its your office Facebook
Pros
I am such a fan of Viva Engage! When I first started at my new company, coming with an extensive background in social media this really excited me. I love to keep in touch with people and to share great moments and highlights. Viva Engage is very similar to Facebook. You can like, comment and share pictures, videos and even follow other member of your company. With a company the size of over 300 people. Viva Engage keeps everyone a click away from engaging with a co-worker/friend from across the room to across the country!
Cons
I really don't have any cons for Viva Engage. It is user friendly, and I like how it notifies you when someone comments or likes your post. It even sends daily updates of what's going on in the community, but you can silence it if you don't want the alert.
