The ease of use. I open it when I get in to the office and it stays open all day. I can dispatch a technician based on who is closet, which is my favorite feature of GPS Insight

Cons

When running a report based on days, it is hard to select the specific days you want without it highlighting a range. Could be a user issue.
I would like to see a 'traffic' feature built in as real-time so I could re-route when needed.

Cost of maintaining the ELD.
Logs are difficult to deal with; on the backside. Miss the laptop version where the operators could update logs on a laptop and not ELD

The client facing dashboard has everything I need and is easy to use. I have had zero issues with GPS accuracy. Even switching GPS units to new vehicles is a relatively painless process.

Cons

My only gripe is the consistent calls asking me to upgrade to video recording. It's just not something I'm interested in. From a product standpoint, I have no issues.

ease of use. Apps for phone and laptop. Features to locate assets. Many alerts are available or customize your own. Product support is very good and little or no wait. People in support are knowledgeable and easy to work with. The screen software is clear and customizable.

Cons

Reception is a problem in certain areas. Installing in older class 7 & 8 trucks can be demanding. Our new class 7&8 are easier.

I like the Manager mobile application. This is much improved from the first version. Setting up vehicles and managing them is straight forward and easy to understand. Managing vehicle maintenance is easy as well.

We have regular meetings with [sensitive content hidden] that is really beneficial for us to provide feedback and to ask questions. He has been great to work with over the years.

When I call support they are always helpful. There was a period of time with the 3G changeouts where the support desk seemed overwhelmed and not available when we needed them for installation issues, but those issues seem to be over.

Cons

Billing. We seem to go in cycles where that can't get either the rate correct or the number of vehicles or both. Resolution of the matter can take months and months to resolve. I would like to see a list of the modems or the unit numbers included in the invoices and not just a total number. It makes it difficult to figure out the issue.

When GPS insight finds a bug I would like to see communication to the customer on what it is, what is being done to address it and when it will be fixed. Also, when changes are made that impact the customer, we should receive communication about that. Waiting for us to find out is not the best method. An example of this would be the non-reporting performance report selections seemed to change from OR functions to AND functions in the selection. Another is sometime the vehicle maintenance doesn't work correctly when a oil change is completed and the help desk had to fix it by changing the date on when it was performed by one day.

I also seem times when the vehicle is only reporting periodically while driving, I see many miles of gaps in the data. The answer from the service desk is to always push the latest firmware. Why do we continue to have this issue and why can't we proactively have updated firmware pushed to the device. It makes me question the data for all devices and not just the one I happen to dig into and notice the issue. Usually I notice it when I'm doing a history on the vehicle driving.

The ability to see what my technicians are doing, and the alerts to help me teach them what is expected of them. the weekly reports have helped our scores quite a bit, as we are able to show our techs. it became a competition!

The inability to view a spreadsheet/ page of every technician and their weekly scores. i get a lot of questions about them, but have to go to the tech's page to view. i can only see top and bottom three - no in-between - without going to every tech independently.

Finding events can be tricky at times. If there is not an alert but a driver says something happened between certain times, it gets tricky finding an event.

It does everything. We can track our trucks in current time, print out their stops and idles from the day before, schedule reminders for maintenance, and much more.

Some of the trackers that they send just plug right into a slot beneath the dash, which is great, except that they very easily get knocked loose or knocked out completely and we have to call the drivers and have them plug them back in.

I like the fact that it is user friendly and that you can customize the vehicle reports .The data that I receive has been beneficial is assisting our company in reducing vehicle speeding occurences and accidents .

The only con for me is that sometimes the speeding violations are off due to drift .The vehicle mileage can sometimes be off as much as 2000 miles . I usually update or adjust the vehicle mileage when imputing the vehicle maintenance.

It is easy to use and learn. This may be silly but I do like the fact that anytime I have to go back and find a route I can adjust the speed. I find that to be very helpful especially when I'm not able to spend a lot of time doing the research. Anytime we have called in for assistance everyone is very helpful. I was tickled that I figured out how to update new employees on my own.

The level of detail in reports is outstanding. Being able to run such a wide range of options makes finding a one-off incident as easy as reviewing regular reporting. The auto refresh of the live maps is a nice feature as well, added bonus to being able to find nearby vehicles.

Menu navigation is not exactly intuitive for the non technical staff using the system. The absolute worst are the chat ads popping up every time I sign in. I already pay for the service, stop pushing on the maps screen especially. Alerts do not always work, or work at the wrong time. Allowing the drivers to opt out of alert/violation messages is a fail.

The report function still seems to have some glitches as I've submitted a couple tickets regarding issues with pulling reports. (Ex: all vehicles was not populating ALL vehicles so had to go in individually to pull each report)

The new ELD system is not as good as the old one. From an admin side the system is hard to use. It is not user friendly. It is missing a lot of things that i used daily with the old system. The fact that GPS Insight and the ELD system are not linked with the ability to alert me with driver hours and emails for issues found during a pretrip is an issue. The drivers do not have a web portal that they can use for on duty not driving hours or to make sure that the system has logged them out correctly. i have had drivers not get logged out correctly and have been stuck in on duty not driving for an entire night. They have come in the next morning and logged out and called me to correct the issue. the system will only allow me to put them in sleeper berth not off duty. it gives you an error that you cant have the same status back to back. This is technically falsifying a log. The new system is bare bones and needs work
