Eventbrite For Life

Eventbrite has become my go-to for listing upcoming business events and connecting with a wider audience to spread the word about my brand's pop-up shops and community meet-ups. Listing the event through the site is also extremely simple and can be done in a matter of minutes.

Pros

The site provides a very concise and user-friendly way to search for events, as well as help event coordinators advertise. Eventbrite is easily the most convenient listing site to use compared to others. Being able to easily integrate with Facebook Events is also a huge plus that has helped my business events reach a wider audience.

Cons

Managing events from a separate Organizer app isn't the smoothest process and I have found myself needing to go back to the main Eventbrite app for information not found on the Organizer platform.

Alternatives Considered

Reasons for Switching to Eventbrite

Eventbrite has a much better reach when it comes to search engines and the overall amount of users. AllEvents didn't produce the same results as what I received with Eventbrite and the set-up took much longer.

Eventbrite for small businesses and events

Overall, I liked Eventbrite and I will use it again for larger events that can incorporate the cost.

Pros

The platform is easy to use and visually appealing. The reporting features are detailed and provide organized information for registration tracking. I liked that my events were easy to find for patrons and it helped drive new customers to my events.

Cons

I dislike the new cost tiers. I used to find Eventbrite affordable, but now that it is based per event: I am unable to justify the new costs for free and discounted events.

Good concept but poor operation.

I tried to set up an event in the platform, pop up shop for my LLC, not easy at all, no vetting, no securing transactions, I didn't want that for my customers, when they were trying to buy a ticket. I think transactions should be secured, refunds should be guarantee, they should be vetting for scammers, there were a lot of events in the website that weren't even real. I know because some of those events were from businesses I know personally and when I asked, they weren't aware of those events. I think they should reevaluate their whole platform. They have a good concept but no good operations.

Pros

Nothing was good about Eventbrite, the only thing I can say is that it was available at the moment, that I needed it.

Cons

Where to start. Eventbrite has no good customer service department, no refunds, no call backs, no easy way to set up events, no background or vetting vendors or event organizers, anyone can set up and sell tickets in this platform without vetting or any secured links. So, if is a scam, you don't get no guarantees about your purchase.

All you need to plan your events in one platform.

Overall, I am happy with the software. The event pages look nice, it is easy to collect money or share the event page wit potential participants.

Pros

It is really comprehensive. All I need to set up for the meetings and seminars is available.

Cons

It is a bit complicated. It takes time to learn where to find what and even after several seminars, I still struggle to find some of the settings or information.

Opinion of a part-time events manager

I like it enough. Would recommend for people who have never used registration platforms before.

Pros

Easy to use and relatively quick to set up an event page.

Cons

Pages look very similar, there's not much in terms of customising in order to make the page look more like your own branding, and if there is then it's not with a normal, unpaid membership.

From organizing events to attending them, Eventbrite has you covered

Overall, my various business and personal experiences with Eventbrite have been excellent. As a ticket purchaser, I trusted the platform to keep my payments and tickets secure. It gave me multiple options for payment and I felt safe purchasing tickets for various events on the Eventbrite site. As an event organizer for a free online business workshop, I found event setup to be extremely easy and very quick. I was able to start marketing my event in a very short amount of time.

Pros

I found Eventbrite easy to use to obtain tickets for a variety of business and personal events. Setting up an event for a free online workshop was also incredibly simple.

Cons

It always takes me some time to get back into Eventbrite if I am not just clicking on a link in an email or on a website.

Overall, it was a good experience, but it won't be my first option if I was paying for the software

Pros

I love that they cater for a small event right through to massive events, and as you create your event, their settings remind you of things you never thought of including when you create events.

Cons

Obviously the paid features are a dislike, the reliability on sending email event reminders has not been on par.

Small Nonprofit Review of Eventbrite

This is a great tool, especially for smaller nonprofits or groups looking to promote and sell tickets (even free ones). I like the pay-as-you go options that don't lock you into a yearly/monthly commitment. I appreciated that there is still a free option for smaller events.

Pros

The platform's visual designer is very easy to use and provides helpful tools to customize the event page to be on brand and be appealing. I appreciated the built-in tools and ease of use for sharing the event, promoting the event, and managing things like attendees, tickets, and more. Overall, it is a very intuitive and easy to use platform.

Cons

The attendee report feature leaves some key functions missing that allow the admins to easily hone in on attendee details for follow up, especially for nonprofits who want to manage donations, etc.

Alternatives Considered

Reasons for Switching to Eventbrite

Brand familiarity is important for end users getting tickets. We could have used our internal donor management system to sell tickets, but few people are aware of or have used other tools for tickets. Does the job but could be better

I like using Eventbrite for our organisation's events as it means that ticketing and guest list is all held in one place and I can schedule event reminders to automatically send by email near the time of the event. However, it can be complicated to use and expensive.

Pros

Helpful for managing event ticketing, and I like the feature to schedule event reminders. There are a lot of advanced features if you need them.

Cons

It can be complicated to set up an event if you don't need to use any of the advanced features.

Easy and User Centric Event Management System

I have been using Eventbrite to advertise our online and in person outreach events and it has been working great so far. I like how easy it is to set it up, get analytics, integrate it with other systems like WordPress sites, CRMs etc. The flexibility is also great. I highly recommend it if you are trying to setup a online page for your events.

Pros

I could create a free online webinar events or sometimes in person event and a lot of people sign up for these. I can get potential leads and important information that I can use to tailor our outreach campaigns and this is the best thing I like about Eventbrite. Since there are a lot of active users on Eventbrite, we can easily find significant leads. Another thing I really like about Eventbrite is the easiness of setting up events and post event management things like exporting datasets. I also like how easy it is for people to RSVP and get a digital ticket that we can scan at event.

Cons

I wish they had better customer service. I haven't ran into any major problems but while I tried to contact their support for some inquiry, it was really hard for me to contact them. If they created a easy to access support system - the platform would probably be perfect.

Eventbrite horrible

A terrible app for ticketing. I didn't even know where to begin. I had used multiple ticketing website features, some ticketing apps, this app was thrust upon me at my job and became such a huge bottleneck.

The entire thing felt like scamware. They promised so much engagement and all those promises fell flat.

Awful software

Pros

There were some good features. It would allow us to add things like video and pictures in places that the customer would never look. It ran like the apps in the 90s ran, it was nostalgic for how bad it was.

Cons

It was the slowest app. It would often lag horribly. It was missing tons of features that many other apps in it's class have.

I really like Eventbrite because it makes it extremely easy to plan dates with my significant other and we are always able to find something to do on the weekends and weekdays if necessary instead of the standard movie date. It also helps us plan ahead.

Pros

What I like most about Eventbrite is being able to find events based on your current wants such as music, comedy, or parties.

Cons

What I like least about Eventbrite is sometimes there can be so many different events listed that it takes a while to scroll through all of them to find the one you really want.

Plan outings on fingertips.

Eventbrite is flexible, secure and accessible. It provides a lot of categories to choose from. The exhaustive model is truly one of a kind!

Pros

The most liked feature of Eventbrite has to be how user-friendly the interface is. It serves as an exceptional marketing tool to promote events. The page management provides all the information in a comprehensive manner. The analytical report provides an excellent overview of traffic, attendee movements and other insights that allows to take informed decisions in the future. It allows the host to update FAQs and also interact with the attendees making it truly exhaustive. The mobile accessibility for both the host and the attendee really allows to handle things on fingertips.

Cons

What i don't like is that it doesn't allow to put the original website page on the dashboard. Sometimes certain categories of events are empty. I've had problems to increase the reach of the event as well. Providing guidelines for the same would be absolutely helpful.

I have been using Eventbrite for local events for a few years now. It hasn’t taken me long to become familiar with the process and it’s simple to navigate. The organization is impeccable and I like the helpful tool of Eventbrite remembering your information for future events.

Pros

I enjoy how organized it is, making it simple to plug in personal information. The process is quick and can be done in a timely manner (around 3 minutes or less). I also like how verification e-mails are sent and the event can be easily entered into a mobile calendar.

Cons

The e-mails about other events can be a bit excessive. The program may also be difficult for those who are not tech-savvy and may need assistance.

I like EventBrite for something you CAN use for FREE or pay.

Good so far. I use it at least monthly, selling online tickets. I used the "discount" ticket feature for the first time and it works really nice! I have also paid for advertising this month, which will start in about 10 days. I'm excited to see the traffic.

Pros

It's fairly easy to use. I like that it drives you through the important set up pieces and then gives you areas to supply additional functionality in those basic steps.

Cons

Deleting/cancelling events needs to be easier. I have recurring events that have been cancelled and I can't seem to get them to go away even though no tickets were sold. The "tickets" available to sell is confusing.

Pros

Structuring of the events; almost all matketing events that I attend, I keep planning and booking from eventbrite. I even have the app since 2 years. The events are also pin pointed geography wise and there is plethora of online webinars also.

Cons

Good Event Management, But Some Features Could Be Better

I am using Eventbrite for some time now to organize both online and in-person events. Overall, the experience is good, but some changes recently make it a little difficult. Setting up events is very easy, and it works well with other systems like WordPress. But the change with custom questions make it hard for us because people don’t answer them after they pay. Still, I think Eventbrite is good platform for promoting events.

Pros

The system is very strong for handling registration, even when events are complicated. There is many good documents on their website, so I can find how to do most things. It has a big user base, so it is easier to get people sign up for events. I like how simple it is to manage events after setup, and it is easy to track people with digital tickets.

Cons

Custom questions moved to after payment, which is not helpful for us because people ignore them after they register. Customer support is not very responsive, and it is hard to get help when I need it.

A Brite Source of Social Engineering!

I would recommend this, and have it for people who have looked into the same sort of events that I've been looking for. This says a lot, as I keep very busy so staying abreast of local events and happenings is an ever-evolving passion of mine! I cannot yet express my opinion on what it is like as an event coordinator, however speaking with heads of such events (like Rockstar Networking for one) I hear that it's pretty seamless a process to do! People that I talk with seem satisfied with investing time and funds in their business to attract new attendees through Eventbrite.

Pros

This site looks very clean, whether on mobile or the PC and it runs smoothly in my experience. This is to say that I've yet to face any issues of crashes, bugs, or information that was misleading or inaccurate! As someone who has used Eventbrite for both local hobby-related events and job-hunting, this is a good source to help keep both of those walks of life organized in one location.

Cons

As the growing need for more broad access to websites for people with certain needs, the fact that it doesn't have its own "Dark mode'' for viewing is something that I highly wish would change. It's becoming more and more common for sites to address this on the web that touches on socializing more, as people tend to spend high numbers of hours in a day, at any given time, looking at the site. This is, so far, the only critique that I have thus far, as a consumer/attendant for events.

While browsing events and getting tickets is mostly free other than the cost of the tickets, and creating small events (25 tickets or less) is pretty straight forward. in order to do larger events I have to pay for a subscription.

Malfunctioning. Wouldn't recommend as a biz owner.

As a customer I have had a fine experience.
As a business owner using it. . . . it is not intuitive. Prices/requirements unclear, didn't end up functioning at all for me. Made several attempts

Pros

I do like that there are all these events going on out there in the world and you can discover them through eventbrite.

Cons

ease of use is very bad.
I had used it in the past and it worked but I had to market eventbrite just like if I had my event anywhere else. It is not helping to market me. So that defeats the purpose for me.

Additionally, when I recently tried to use it in 2023 I could not get my events to post, to have all the correct information. It was not intuitive and easy to understand if I needed to pay something to house my event etc.

I spent a couple hours on it. Tried several things to no avail.

Reasons for Switching to Eventbrite

I often purchase events to attend myself through eventbrite and on customer side it has worked. Also, people always talk about it. It was just going to be another place people could find out about and purchase my workshops but it did not function. After 6 hours over several days I gave up on it.

Still the Top Choices for Small and Large Events

Eventbrite is highly flexible and works well for our smaller or free events. On the other hand, Cvent is our go-to for larger events that need custom apps, onsite badge printing, and various conference-specific features. The price Cvent charges is worth the value it delivers for these occasions. For low-cost or free events, Eventbrite is still the preferred option.

Pros

I found it incredibly easy to use, making it simple for both small and large businesses to create professional events.

Cons

A downside is the steep fees, particularly for high-ticket events.

Event-Briter than ever!

Using Eventbrite for Comic and Toy cons in Ontario has been great! It’s easy to set up events, manage ticket sales, and promote to fans. However, fees can add up, which can be a downside.

Pros

Eventbrite excels with its user-friendly interface, customizable event pages, various ticketing options, built-in promotion tools, detailed analytics, mobile accessibility, and strong community focus.

Cons

Eventbrite can have high fees for paid events, which may deter some organizers. Additionally, the platform's customer support can be slow at times, potentially causing frustration during urgent issues.

Powerful Event Registration System

Overall experience with Eventbrite has been fantastic. Unfortunately, the change to the custom question feature has forced my organization to migrate to a different platform.

Pros

Eventbrite provides a very robust and comprehensive platform for registration for complex events. The support documentation available on its website is excellent. I've been able to easily find ways to accomplish everything needed for our events on Eventbrite.

Cons

The ability to ask custom questions during the registration process is extremely important for the events hosted by my organization. While custom question are supported by the Eventbrite platform, they have recently been moved so that they are asked only after registration is completed, with the result that users are able to register and pay for their tickets and then just ignore the custom questions.

Eventbrite review

The integration with social media and email marketing tools helps in effectively reaching a broader audience. Additionally, the analytics and reporting features provide valuable insights into attendee behavior, which is crucial for improving future events. The ability to customize event pages and manage registrations in real-time are other standout features that make Eventbrite a top choice for event planning.

Pros

What I liked most about Eventbrite is its user-friendly interface and robust features that make event management and ticketing incredibly efficient. The platform is intuitive, allowing organizers to easily create, promote, and manage events of all sizes

Cons

One aspect I liked least about Eventbrite is the reliance on email for event reminders. There were a few instances where I missed events because I didn’t see the email in time. It would be more effective if Eventbrite offered the option to send reminder notifications via WhatsApp or SMS, ensuring that users receive timely updates through their preferred communication channels.

Easy to Use, Always Spot On With Fun Events

I’ve utilized eventbrite for a few years now. It makes finding local events that interest me very easy. Whenever I need something to do on the weekend with family or friends, I know I can rely on eventbrite to provide me with good suggestions. It’s easy to navigate, filter, and share event information.

Pros

I appreciate the ease of use within the app. I can very quickly find local events that spark my interest and next steps for reserving my spot. The filtering capabilities are very useful to narrow down the best, most relevant results to me.

Cons

I can’t say that there’s anything I don’t like about the app. I’ve been using it for years and am able to quickly find what I’m looking for.

Eventbrite completely provided a ticket sales solution for our youth conference

Overall Eventbrite made ticket sales for our conference a breeze. The site is pretty intuitive and, as I mentioned, the payouts are super prompt and detailed.

Pros

Eventbrite is easy to set up for an event. We set up a conference with over 300 attendees with multiple discount codes. Payments are super easy and paid out quickly. The analytics are really helpful. We also used Eventbrite for our 50 volunteer positions. Since it was for volunteers we were able to use the Eventbrite app free of charge and easily set up extra options such as shirt sizes and preference of days/areas to serve.

Cons

Our greatest issue with our volunteer sign up is that it constantly got "sold out" with applications from India and Africa asking for letters of invitation to Canada for our event. I asked Eventbrite if I could limit the volunteer sign-up to our province, or even only Canada, but they have no way to do that. As such, I had to go into the app daily to delete ineligible volunteers.

Eventbrite Review: Room for Improvement

Pros

I thought Eventbrite was relatively easy to buy tickets on, and I liked receiving an email confirmation once purchased.

Cons

When I bought my tickets for an event on Eventbrite, I was not given a barcode to check in at the event. It seemed as though there was miscommunication between the organizer of the event and Eventbrite. I used the "help" feature to attempt to talk to a representative, but no one got back to me in time. Seems very disorganized.

A good event platform for personal or professional events

I have personally done registrations and ticket sales on Eventbrite at least 100 times for both personal and professional use. Overall, it's a good tool. It's not perfect but overall, I like it.

Pros

Eventbrite is very easy to use And as well known by the public, so is also a relatively good promotional vehicle

Cons

It's not cheap. I always hate the percentage that comes out of ticket sales whether we pass it along to the consumer or not. For the price I feel that it could have more enhanced functionality.

I've used eventbrite for both personal and business purposes. I really enjoy surfind through Eventbrite on the weekends to find the right activity for me. Eventbrite features activities in my local area as well as events going on within my work space. The filter features allow me to sort through my availability from date and time to locations. I'm able to easily register and recall details through the post or through the confirmation email.

Pros

Plenty of details. Categorized and well organized

Cons

Many of the categories are open ended, allowing for duplicate information to be shared. Causing posts to be unnecessarily long.

My Go to Spot for Finding Local Events!

I love using Eventbrite because it allows me to find local events in any and every city whether I’m at home or travelling. I love the ease of being able to find local events and following some of my favorite event producers and promoters! Eventbrite allows me to plan accordingly and keeps me informed when some of my favorite events or experiences are happening!!

Pros

The ease of being able to find local events and register and buy tickets to local events!! Booking and finding was a breeze!

Cons

The inability to find out how many tickets are left available for an event. Also, sometimes it would be helpful to see how many people are planning to attend an event. Eventbrite also doesn’t show previous attendees’ experience.

Makes Planning/Managing Events a Breeze

Great experience using Eventbrite. The fundraise we hosted was a HUGE success thanks to it's user-friendly and easy to navigate interface. Planning and managing events has never been easier for us since using this software. If you choose this, you will not be disappointed.

Pros

The event management is unparalleled. Everything is so simple and easy to use. The interface is great, it is easy to share your events, and the platform intelligence is excellent for marking marketing decisions. It also has a very streamlined workflow which I enjoy.

Cons

It has some limitations especially the less you pay. Some third party integrations can behave difficultly sometimes, but nothing that would turn someone off to using the software.

Best Platform Love Eventbrite!

I had a fundraiser - a Purse Bingo and I wanted to sell tickets ahead of time through a secure portal that people would not feel scared to use. It was a great option, and I will use it again and again for all my ticketed events in the future.

Pros

I loved Eventbrite for my Purse Bingo event. I will never use another platform again for events where I require ticket purchases.

Cons

I'd rather have the option to allow ticket purchases right up until the day of the event. It could have been an option, but I didn't see it when I created the event.

Eventbrite has strong features but is still lacking in some ways

Eventbrite is a solid solution for activities, event management and tickets, for events of all sizes and community gatherings. It’s accessible, easy to use, and provides a detailed but not exhausative set of tools for both organizers and attendees. Eventbrite does have some limitations in terms of customization, advanced features for larger events, and its costs.

Pros

It is easy to schedule and manage events. It has an easy to use interface, but also the features that I need. The built-in marketing and publicity tools are helpful.

Cons

Eventbrite has limited customization options. It does not have the build in mass reach that happens with the larger existing social media platforms like Twitter or Instagram. Fees can be high.

A very intuitive, easy-to-use event platform

Overall, Eventbrite is a powerful and user-friendly platform, ideal for managing both small and large-scale events with ease.

Pros

Eventbrite is a very intuitive, easy-to-use event platform. It has all the tools one might need to publish and advertise events. What I liked most about the platform is its intuitive interface—setting up events, managing tickets and tracking analytics is simple and efficient. The seamless integration with social media and email marketing also made it easy to promote events and reach a wider audience.

Cons

Eventbrite's reporting features could be more customisable, and occasionally, the customer support response time feels slow, especially during peak times.

Eventbrite: Great For Managing Your Upcoming Event!

Once I got my event set-up, I was happy with how easy it was to check on ticket sales and respond to questions from potential attendees through the Eventbrite system. Their site is not at all complicated to navigate, and their Support staff is excellent to work with.

Pros

It's really easy to host an event through Eventbrite, and to manage that event as tickets start selling and the date grows near.

Cons

There wasn't a comprehensive "How To" for newcomers to look at before setting up their event. I would start, then realize I needed a graphic, so I had to stop, create a graphic, then continue. I like when a site has an easy-to-use guide for newcomers.
