I appreciated being able to include a plethora of information for the RCS staff, so everyone could have all needed information in a timely and organized way. > > **Cons**: A helpful feature that would be nice when uploading information for students would be to consider having any duplicated information, such as the primary family contact information (phone number, email address) on the first page, prepopulate in other places, like the contact information within the contact file information (where the address and type of relationship information is entered), within a student's Gradelink file. If one is putting any information within Gradelink, any prepopulation of any other fields asking the same information would be appreciated. > > My experience with Gradelink has been one of appreciation for such an intuitive and thorough means of having student files. I can lesson plan, record grades, find parents' email addresses and phone numbers, and email parents all in one place. We have different groups set up, so I can email my class or my extracurricular with the click of one button. I can also exclude certain families, if it is a reminder email that certain families don't need. As far as I have heard from my principal and director of technology, the support is easy-to-use and very helpful. One example is that the support team has adjusted the look of our report cards to make sure it looks the way we want. If we are having any trouble, my principal or our director of technology submits a support ticket. > > **Cons**: The only thing I don't like is that copying lesson plans from previous years has a lot of steps. Unless I am missing some training, you have to click through a lot of buttons to find past lessons, then copy, then click back through all the buttons to get to the current week to paste. If you only have to do one lesson, it might be worth it, but if you are trying to copy a week or two for a whole unit, it gets too unmanageable. > > We have been using Gradelink for at least 3 years, and I still like the versatility of being able to do all the above mentioned things on one website with one login. I thinks parents also appreciate everything (enrollment and grades) being in the same place, too.
