Comprehensive and Advanced Social Monitoring Tool
The customer support is good and very comprehensive. Since we want to adopt a medium/basic level monitoring tool, we decided to move forward with another one. If it is very important to listen to social and track branding, you can feel confident. It makes me feel it's a bit too much for the B2B companies if their first time to use that kind of tools.
Pros
They have the most comprehensive data resources; you can also classify your reports and feeds according to your needs. You can collaborate with the team easily, and automated queries make a difference if you want to go deeper.
Cons
It's hard to manage the mentions at the first adoption stage. It's hard to set this tool up since it is a more advanced monitoring tool.
Reasons for Switching to Mention
Because of its source and because it's a well-known one in the market. They helped me a lot while setting up and their customer support has unique approach.- Industry: Public Relations & Communications

So far the best tool and it has been with me since 2015!
The most successful tool which has enhanced our offerings as an agency for online news and mentions across all private and public companies and governmental entities who usually use heavy tools like Sprinklr, Lucidiya, meltwater etc.
Pros
The software is on-spot, easy to use and accessible by the clients as well which spares us lots of reporting time. The alerts is another merit where we're alerted upon any increase in mentions. The customer care team and the account managers are super keen to develop the tool and we're a living example where it has showed amazing development in tracking arabic keywords and constantly working on sentiment analysis. The tool has an influencer identifying function as well which helps most of the times
Cons
The only thing is modifying reports to a certain hour not date only.
Reasons for Choosing Mention

Hard to decide whether it's worth it
Pros
They have the most robust presentation of all the different things/ways/ideas you would need to monitor on social media. Their dashboard looks like an airline cockpit--that level of complicated.
Cons
Way too much money for something we could pay an intern to do. Nickel and diming for every little thing.

the perfect tool to allow you stay informed on your performance, and stay ahead of looming...
Mention has been a really great and effective tool that provided us with the much needed insights we required to help us expand into other complementary sectors and services. By gauging the perception of the general public to related activities and competing products, we have been able to better time our ad campaigns and network engagements to achieve the maximum results possible.
Pros
I guess the best thing about Mention is that it provides the full circle of complementary services needed to completely manage the image and interests of our businesses and projects. By far, one of my most interesting features about setting up alerts is that I can use tags to create alerts within broader alerts. This allows for an effective filtering system that makes our work ten times easier.
Cons
Some elements within the user interface could be decoupled and further simplified to make navigation and learning for new first-time users a little easier.
Reasons for Switching to Mention
We end up using them in combination and based on the specific needs of a given project or campaign.- Industry: Hospital & Health Care

Mention gets all the mentions
Back in the day, we’d monitor news with Google Alerts which was obviously a terrible idea. Mention picks up stuff lightning fast and it’s incredibly affordable if you're on a budget and looking to get in to more serious media monitoring. I can’t recommend Mention enough as a user-friendly, cost-effective, thorough solution. It also offers more advanced options for when your budget or need increases.
Pros
It’s a cost-effective, in-depth monitoring solution.
Cons
I wish more features were available to base plans, even on an a la carte basis.
