About Vicinity
Vicinity Software is a cloud-based or on-premise solution designed for process manufacturers with a specific focus on food & beverage (VicinityFood), chemical (VicinityChem) and breweries (VicinityBrew). Features include MRP, centralized recipe management, batch ticketing, lot traceability and recall, production planning, quality control and compliance reporting.
Users can track formulas based on both formula and version with a searchable database. New versions can be marked inactive until they are approved, archived after production is complete or marked as view-only. Values for raw materials are stored for formula calculations, and if a value is changed, the formula calculations are automatically updated.
Safety warnings, operational changes, substitutions and required tests can be reflected on batch tickets, which are stored in a central database. Schedule adjustments are available to all departments and are reflected in real time. Integrations with Microsoft Dynamics or QuickBooks Online provide costing and inventory visibility for live or real-time production transactions.

Great software for the value.
Production scheduling was much easier with the use of VIcinity.
Pros
The ease of allocating inventory for upcoming production and the management of inventory are all fabulous with this software.
Cons
Onboarding process is pretty intensive. Production crew had a difficult time at first.

Hangar 24 Craft Brewery Vicinity Manufacturing Review
One of the things that's been helpful has been the ease of use. This year has been really busy for us and so our forecast actually has changed quite a bit. The software has been helpful in terms of understanding exactly when we needed items coming out to meet everything we were looking at, based on how the orders are in the system and how they kind of populate the resource view.
Our service rep also has really been helpful because they've made a couple very personalized reports for us. That's always been a good thing with Vicinity, they are able to tailor reports to your needs. We recently changed inventory sites virtually in our system; when we were running reports and planning, it wasn't displaying information correctly. It was displaying too many planned orders even though we didn't need them, and it was basically messing up the balance of inventory. Having the tailor made reports were helpful, but things like that have been very good in terms of the planning side that Vicinity's done for us.

Customer support has been exceptional as we have had a handful of hiccups in our start-up with Vicinity. Still looking for some added functionality when it comes to the more complicated brewing actions, however, fantastic for your standard brews!

Vicinity Brew
Great company that is always willing to go the extra mile for their customers. Software that is saleable and versatile for any size brewery big or small.
