Being a boat manufacturer puts our implementation in the more niche category due to the individualistic nature of building boats, and Fishbowl was able to guide us through building the system around out own best practices. It is amazing how much we are able to accomplish in just the warehousing license and the workarounds we created to manufacturing in a warehouse limited database. The other pieces of Fishbowl that we have enjoyed thus far include the clarity of process steps due to green arrow, red truck, blue checkmark. The ability to run a multitude of reports. The ease of invoicing directly from a sales order. And especially the functionality of kitting. Furthermore, we look forward to leveraging tools such as auto PO's and order tracking to increase our inventory efficiency. > > **Cons**: Fishbowl has a large amount of reports that are very helpful, but can be rigid in customization. For example, the inventory valuation summary does not let the report filter for multiple location groups at once, and instead can only be sorted by one location or location group at a time. Other reports also have a restricting feel to them being that there aren't many options to add fields to the report from within the modify report wizard. One of the biggest reports we would like to be able to run out of Fishbowl is a work in progress report, but being that we aren't in the manufacturing license, we cannot. We would like to be able to run this report based off location type, as we have do have manufacturing type locations set up in Fishbowl for inventory in process. Customizations and added filter fields in the inventory valuation summary would be very helpful. > > Overall, our experience with Fishbowl has been super positive. Our implementation team has been nothing but helpful and has been able to assist us through the struggles of going live.
