isolved is impressive!

We love isolved and would not dream of changing. Our company is hoping to add Live and Learn soon so that our employees are able to easily take training classes.

Pros

isolved is very user friendly! They are constantly working to bring in new features and updates for features that are already in use. We have been able to go completely paperless using isolved. We have cut our payroll processing time in half. HR onboarding is now effortless because of isolved. The cost is less than most other big HR/Payroll companies.

Cons

I really don't have any cons other than they don't process Canadian payrolls.

HRIS Software

We have had this system since sometime in 2020. We dove in with both feet with payroll and almost every one of Isolved's add on software. There was little to NO support for implementation on the HRIS side. Over 4 years in and we still are not 100% utilizing what we pay for. Currently vetting other HRIS software. Sad that we have to start over, but too tired to keep beating our heads against the wall.

Pros

Thought having a "one stop shop" would streamline our very small HR department.

Cons

pretty much everything. Steep learning curve on the HRIS side, almost impossible to get a SME that understand the uniqueness of our City. Almost every module has to have a work around to get it to function for our needs. Not user Friendly unless you have an IT background

Convoluted On Boarding and Unhelpful Customer Service

Pros

There is nothing about this process or company that I like.

Cons

iSolved is the direct deposit provider for Sage 50 accounting software. The process requires you to fill out an application which has all the business’ info and owners’ info along with a contact. In addition to that, they further require a letter from the client's bank which includes their routing, account number, EIN, name, address, etc. But that is not the worst part, they also need to be able to call the person that signs the letter to verify that the information on the letter is accurate. What is the point of getting a letter signed on the bank’s letterhead? Now, this has been fine with most of my clients but anyone that uses TD Bank will be completely unable to finish this application as TD doesn’t process these letters at the local branches. They are sent out of the corporate offices, and outsiders are unable to contact the signer to verify the contents of the letters.

What is not stated anywhere in the application or documentation is that this is a credit application for the business. So, you would think that this is an application for credit that if there were no funds in the account when the direct deposit is run that they would pay that week's payroll, but it does not. From the Terms and Conditions:
“(i) In the event of Employer has insufficient funds available for any payment obligation under this Agreement and isolved receives an NSF, isolved is authorized to send a reversal file (“Reversal”) to one or more of the Payee Accounts or other payees that were paid by isolved in connection with such NSF. Furthermore, Employer agrees to fully reimburse isolved within 48 hours for any non-recovered funds from such Reversal. After Employer pays the unrecovered amounts, iSolved will endeavor in good faith to recover the funds and, upon recovery of funds, if any, isolved will distribute those funds to Employer. Employer may not make any claim for reimbursement of unrecovered funds related to any Reversal from isolved.”

If you are applying for credit; why are they going to immediately reverse the direct deposit for an NSF? What is the point of this whole application if not to at least process the payroll?

Compare this to QuickBooks, which can be set up by simply logging into the client's bank site through Plaid, taking a grand total of 30 seconds. QuickBooks has tons of flaws, and I do not recommend them, but this is one thing that they get right while iSolved has made the process a convoluted waste of time.

Finally, the customer service representatives are oddly robotic and almost seem to be an AI chatbot. They aren’t sympathetic to the plight clients have when trying to complete this arduous process and basically tell you “tough” when you can’t jump through all of these unnecessary hoops.

Isolved’s One And Only Unhappy Customer

It’s stressful to use isolved. I feel regretted switching from Paycor. From the start to the very end, there isn’t a single thing about isolved that I feel good about.

Initially I thought it was a big savings for me on payroll—NOT MORE HIDDEN FEES! Communication.. the worst. They think because there were more happy customers, when I said I have problems with my payrolls they don’t think it’s their problems. I’m leaving for good.

Pros

I liked the fact that I got to meet a sale representative face to face.

Cons

I liked the fact that I was always getting charged extra service fees each and every time I look at the payrolls. And I also liked the fact that my sale representative role ended the moment I locked in contract with isolved that there is nothing he knows and there is nothing he can do to help me go further.

Great for mid-sizes employers!

isolved has a broad range of features - from hire to retire - including integrated applicant tracking, time management, and performance features to make this as close to a one-stop-shop as possible. With some more updates to individual client customizations, this could truly elevate my experience.

Pros

Easy to use, mobile app is clean, and platform has what's needed to get the job done.

Cons

Would love to see more unique customization options, enhancements to older modules to the primary application, and more consistency across the different people cloud applications.

isolved Denkai review

Disappointing. I've made complaints and get plenty of concerned lip service, but no action.

Pros

Very easy to use for both administrators, managers, and employees.

Cons

Customer service and support is terrible. Everyone is a sales person. Very engaged with you if you're interested in buying an add on. Non-existent if you're not. Communication with my rep is non-existent. I understand turn-over issues, so if you let me know in advance that you're experiencing support issues, I'm willing to work with you. I'm constantly in the dark. I feel like we don't matter because we're a small company.

Bells & Whistles

For the base product - the online HRIS where you are doing employee management and payroll processing, it was very easy to learn. I did not have any training on basic employee management and basic payroll processing and was able to navigate very easitly.

Pros

There are a lot of options for our clients and a lot of customization.

Cons

iSolved can be very complex if clients want to use all of the features. The downfall is that we are required to train our own clients on their products such as Share & Perform. Some of these products may take time to learn.

Timeforce User

We used Timeforce for years and it was perfect for timekeeping and tracking records. We did not have a good experience with isovled in our transition to their new software system.

We used their legacy timekeeping software called Timeforce. It was perfect for our company and our time keeping needs on our construction sites.

Cons

We tried to move to their newer time keeping software platform and it was not able to meet our needs. We had to switch timekeeping software completely.

iSolved for a Small City

As the system grows iSolved has failed to update many of the smaller functions in their core HRIS and instead added functions behind a module-based paywalls. Not every organization needs a full module, but many need more that the most basic functionality available with the basic system.

Pros

Isolved provides a comprehensive suite of functions in a user friendly and effective HRIS package. It has never failed to meet our basic needs and still has greater ptontial for use by our City.

Cons

Very Good Product

I like it. It is well thought out and so much information that can be stored. I like the ability to be able to import files which saves a ton of time. Reporting options are amazing.

OK for small business but not a very smooth user experience

It is an affordable solution that has many features and customizable options. Best for small businesses.

Cons

Not great for scaling organizations, as functionalities become limited and cumbersome. The user interface is very dated, and the reporting is kind of a nightmare - lots of reports available, but hard to find what you need without contacting customer support.

Isloved Review

I have been using Isloved for 3 years now. The Company I work for has been using it much longer than that and we have had a great experience.

Pros

What I like most about Isloved other then the people/employees is, that it is user friendly. Everything that we have implemented is easy to use and usually runs smoothly when setting it up. If we are having issue Isloved is always there to help with a quick call or reply.

Cons

There not much to dislike about Isloved! Right now I would say that I am getting used to using AI. Sometimes it is inaccurate, but overall still works really well.

Expense request interface

Pros

Allows for us to approve reimbursement requests that our employees submit and then commit them to be paid.

Cons

Interface is not consistent and very glitchy. Customer/tech support could use major improvement. The platform should not allow for an employee to double submit/submit a duplicate entry with the same time stamp down to the second. Glitches and bugs that hinder the ability to use the platform need to be addressed in a more timely manner with more transparency and communication.

Lots of Hidden fees, No customer service

lots of hidden Fees, No customer service, lots of mistakes in withdraws that you have to find and try to get back (good Luck talking to someone ) After trying to resolve the issue and not being able to talk to anyone . I left . then an extra $600 dollars was taken from our account as a leaving fee !

Pros

There system is an on line system not different from other vendors, nothing special

Cons

They make mistakes in the fund they withdraw (never in your favor) you have to catch it to get the funds back. There is NO customer service, Nobody to talk to. Q help. Lost of hidden fees

Great System for Times and Payroll

Pros

Any form you could ever want is available. Editing times is easy.

Cons

The new look option has many options missing that you need to switch to the classic view for. The security code almost every time you log in is also just a small annoyance.

Time Tracking in iSolved

Overall, I find the isolved HRIS easy to use and appreciate that they are always looking for ways they can improve the platform. This system was a major upgrade from the system my company was using previously.

Pros

I have been working out of isolved for a couple of years and find it to be a very intuitive system.

Cons

As with any HRIS, there are sometimes glitches that cause issues with time cards, but the isolved team is always quick to address and resolve the problem.

Your Employees Won't Be Disappointed With This Software!

If you're looking for payroll software with numerous features, isolved is the perfect solution. It has effectively automated the entire employee management process. Employees can clock in and out, request time off, complete onboarding, read and sign manuals and policies, view payment information, access performance tools, and much more. The employee self-service options are extensive!

Pros

My favorite features are the ability to review company information and news updates, the employee recognition tools, and the capability to set performance management goals. These have been incredibly helpful in maintaining peak performance and staying updated on changes in company protocols or policies. Additionally, the time-off process is seamless compared to other payroll software I've used.

Cons

The only real downside is that the sheer number of features can be overwhelming. It wasn't as user-friendly as I had hoped, so there was a slight learning curve with some features. However, it's not significant enough to deter me from recommending it for its robust capabilities.

Isolved Review

Excellent. I can see how being on the implementation side of the system enables an administrator to learn much more of what the system can do for a company than being a user or individual that was not part of an implementation side. Being on both ends I know if I did not have the prior implementation experience, I would not have known how to further improve the system for the current company I am in or know where there are issues that need to be fixed or improved. Without that prior knowledge I would not have been able to see how vast and amazing isolved can truly be for a company and would have thought it was limited to what was shown through the trainings. Often, I speak with isolved reps and am able to tell them of things I know the system can do to have implemented and current isolved reps are not even aware of that (a bit surprising but I guess it is because I was exposed to more information than the day-to-day reps have when I worked with together with isolved and Insperity). Nevertheless, I love isolved.

Pros

4. Integration with many third parties (recruiting, preboarding, onboarding, background checks, performance management, payroll, time and attendance, compensation management, OSHA reports, personality tests, the list is endless).

Cons

Benchmarking is only using data from current clients. Does not use 25th, 50th, 75th, 90th and so forth benchmarking. It is limited and not a full compensation management tool.

Reps pick and choose what access to give admins even when an admin requests certain options. It is not consistent. Admins should have ability to have access to anything as long as they are properly trained on it.

Find a better Payroll Company for your small Business

Poor, unreliable, hidden fees, expensive, outdated software,

Pros

We were automatically transferred to isolved by a local payroll company that was purchased by isolved, so we didn't have an option.

Cons

Be very careful! Our transfer paperwork had a "terms and conditions" link that has a 1-year auto-renew buried in it, so we missed our termination by 60 days and have to pay 10 months of services.

Admin and employee interface is outdated, difficult to use and frustrating.

The service is inconsistent with constant errors. Issuing the wrong payroll and having to back money out of employee's bank accounts was the most frustrating. Missing tax filings, missing tax payments, the list of errors goes on and on. We sent termination notice on 11/20/24 and didn't receive termination paperwork until 12/24 when we were already closed for the holiday.

Make your life easier with iSolved Benefits Administration

After about year in the system, it has been a learning experience. But it has been fun and interesting learning the system capabilities and sharing those with our clients. You can keep it simple, or you can really customize it to your own and have whatever information you choose to loaded into the system. It's really versatile!

Pros

iSolved offers a user-friendly online platform for your employees to review and elect their benefits. The system allows you to customize your enrollment experience. With it's workflow process, it sends notification to your chosen Client User, reducing the need for HR intervention.

Cons

Some of the setups can be convoluted, but iSolved does offer responsive customer service to assist with any questions/issues you may come across.

Could focus more on customer needs rather than the look of your product. New format is awful!

Mediocre at best! Initially impressed and now there are too many things that don't flow and are not a time saver, rather a time sucker!

Pros

Initially seemed easy to use for standard items. Definitely can improve on many levels of their integrated piece-meal system platforms - if only they cared enough to ask and listen!

Cons

2 years in, they don't care as much, are not customer oriented as they touted. They don't listen to their customers wants, needs, and requests. Our priorities appear to be insignificant. We may be looking for another vendor, especially when it comes to special requests for bank auditors, they don't feel that's important to jump on special reports.

iSolved Benefits and Payroll

My experience has been good overall, and the team of specialists are very helpful.

Pros

iSolved has an easy to use interface that includes the ability to create reports to cater to specific needs in the industry. Payroll processing is easy and flows really well along with benefit management, as long as the feeds are functioning correctly. This can also be customized.

Cons

The PTO is tied very closely to payroll so you cannot delete out an entered day that has been processed. There are a few things that are difficult to work around in manual benefit entry as well.

i-Soved it the BEST

Pros

Customer service is top notch, knowledgeable, kind and efficient. If they do not have the answer immediately they happily get me to the correct person who can help

Cons

Good Timekeeping Platform

Isolved give you several ways to view your information. It also gives you calendars within the app which make it easier.

Pros

Easy to navigate through the platform. I like that staff can download geo location inspired app. No real excuses about clocking in. Staff are able to clock in anywhere that is in close proximity to the workplace.

Cons

It is not user friendly. It us not easy to edit items. If you manage employee time, it should be easy and seamless and Isolved is not.

Usability

It has been great so far, only a year in but I like it so far :)

Pros

I really like how easy it is to use once you get used to how it thinks. Initially learning the system does take a good bit of work but once you learn the basics, even if you don't know the answer right away it is easy to know where to find it.

Cons

There is some inconsistencies with formatting and I think maybe having more mobile accessibility for the basic payroll functions would be helpful for clients.

Slow cloud performance and website updates crash it about every other month lately

We are looking at other products but still use it.

Pros

That it is fairly easy to user for users.

Cons

Support is bad and cloud performance is slow at least once per week and after web udpates its common that all of our staff have to be sign in manually by a manager because it won't load. Need to upgrade their cloud servers.

We love iSolved

I love iSolved. It has been one of the most manageable payroll systems I have used, in addition to all the resources it offers.

Pros

I appreciate how user-friendly the navigation is, both for administrators and employees. Managing payroll submissions is also easily handled, allowing for control over earnings, deductions, and taxes. Additionally, the available reports for download are incredibly helpful.

Cons

The only issue I've had with iSolved is the login link. It is not a link you can Google and search for.

iSolved Tax

Our experience through implementation and converting our clients has been positive. We lost very few clients during the transition and we now have greater functionality and better resources to offer our clients.

Pros

I handle all taxes for our organization so the tax engine is the most important part for me. iSolved's tax engine has been extremely helpful and a major upgrade from our previous software.

Cons

There are no major issues but there are a lot of updates released and they sometimes create errors or annoying glitches.
