# HRlab

Canonical: https://www.softwareadvice.com.au/software/220033/hrlab

> HRlab is the flexible all-in-one HR software for medium-sized companies, offering all the essential functions for efficient employee management.
Whether it's transparent employee management, including self-service, automated and customizable workflows, or comprehensive time and intuitive applicant management.
Data is reliable and accessible with a single click, reports provide both an analysis of past and future developments, and personnel records are stored centrally. In short, HRlab is your single source of truth for all HR-related processes.
HRlab's focus: exceptional flexibility in meeting customer requirements and excellent customer support. During implementation, in day-to-day operations, and in the continuous improvement of HRlab.
Customer satisfaction always takes top priority. To ensure this, it is essential to choose the right HR software partner in the selection process. What matters?
Step 1: Define Your Requirements: In this first step, ask yourself which features you want the HR software to cover in your daily HR work, what resources you have for implementation, and under whose responsibility the chosen HR software will be introduced.
Ensure that all colleagues who will be working with the software are involved in this process, so they can contribute what matters in their daily work. This makes it easier to prioritize features and helps get everyone on board. After all, nothing is worse than colleagues who feel left out or uninvolved and categorically reject the software choice. It is also important to clarify the budget you can work with at this stage.
Step 2: Compare Providers in the Market. Is the provider reliable and competent? Do they possess targeted industry knowledge and pass the competence check for complex requirements? Always ask for reference customers so you can get a comprehensive picture.
In addition to the basic requirements that the respective software provider brings, it is, of course, necessary to get an overview of the software provider's features. Here, you will quickly determine whether it is more of a rigid one-fits-all solution or whether your requirements can be flexibly addressed. Naturally, your requirements catalog from step 1 should be sufficiently covered, and the software provider’s focus should offer a high level of compatibility with yours.
Lastly, the price factor. Is customer support included in the price? Are all necessary features covered, or are there hidden additional costs? And are there price adjustment clauses or special termination rules?
At this point, you find yourself in the final phase of deciding on the right software provider. But how to decide when:
- Certain features are missing?
- More performance comes with higher costs?
- Different providers offer relatively similar offerings?
For the first point, consider what the absence of certain features really means for your daily work, whether a possible specialized solution can be integrated, and how quickly product development might already fulfill your requirements.
In the second case, evaluate the saved hours per hourly rate thanks to an HR software, how the costs spread per feature, and whether there might still be room for negotiation.
And lastly, for the third point: Run a thorough comparison. Take into account factors such as support performance, tool flexibility, and, most importantly, personal interaction. Can you envision a long-term collaboration, and do you have a good feeling on a personal level? The provider's positioning can also play a role here. And it never hurts to involve colleagues as decision-makers.

### "User-friendly and provides a wide range of functions that are easily to operate." — 4.0/5

> **Anika** | *13 November 2017* | Recommendation rating: 8.0/10
>
> **Pros**: The transparency, usability and flexible role structure of HRlab provides a comfortable operation. Beside of the well-formed design of the platform, it covers the main personnel processes without being too complex or difficult. That's why it is so easy to work with HRlab and to overview the whole company structure and data.
>
> **Cons**: It took some time to figure out how to set an appointment in the calendar of the platform. Once I figured it out, it was easy to use.
