Great functionality for Occupational Therapists
Very good piece of software. As an OT, Carepatron has nearly everything that I need from a CRM.
Pros
The functionality is great. The ability to add and remove staff and allocate cases to individual members of the team. To be able to add mileage and travel time in units.
Cons
Sometimes communication is slow when you want to speak to a human.
Sometimes if I am billing a council, i want the invoice reminders to go to them, but they go to the primary email address instead. I cant change the primary email address, which is the clients because I want the intake forms and appointment reminders to go to the client, just not the invoice.

Executive assistant at a touch of a button
Overall I have had a wonderful experience it has helped me keep track of the most important aspect of my business and that's administration and finance and has saved me alot of time and money as Carepatron offers 1 program that has several functions
Pros
I have been using Carepatron for almost two years now and I love that it works as my own personal accountant by providing the invoice platform and allow us to keep track of money owing and paid invoices. I've loved that it also works as my personal assistant by having your client contact information saved, track client appointments and services rendered. I've loved that all correspondence can be sent directly from Carepatron and it is very easy to use, and is brilliant for day to day use.
Cons
The only thing that I don't like about Carepatron is the templates some of the templates do not always download and that it has to be emailed before it can be used

Lack of transparency and lots of bugs
It sucks. The tool has a good proposal, but it's very buggy and the support is very slow to resolve the issues raised. The tool does not accept foreign credit cards and they ask you to go talk to Stripe. I have an issue with my email that persists for over two months, and now that they changed their subscription model without notice, they offered me a free upgrade for one year so when renewal comes, I'll be forced to downgrade to one of their new plans, which are far more expensive than the one I currently have. They are not transparent and, so far, I'll stop recommending them to my colleagues.
Pros
It's an ok tool: It contemplates a secure meeting room, scheduling page per employee, etc.
Cons
The lack of transparency: the free version grants you 1 GB of space, but that gets filled within 3 or 4 months of usage with 4 or 5 months. There's nowhere for you to check where that space is used. That will be consumed even if you don't attach any files to the patients' records. I went to an unlimited plan, but now they changed their subscription model and apparently my plan is no longer unlimited, so once I achieve 5 GB of data (according to them), I'll need to look for another partner. Besides, Carepatron doesn't offer integration with CalDAV calendars or the creation of new meetings. Every patient will always see the same link, risking patients entering into other people's sessions.

Definitely recommend.
I'm really happy with Carepatron and have recommended it to some of my colleagues.
Pros
There are several features I really like. I like that when I schedule a client, I can then put whether they attended or not, then generate a note and invoice from the same pop up screen. The platform is affordable and easy to navigate. You can add your own templates and save them in groups for easy access.
Cons
I haven't quite figured out how to log a partial payment for a service. There isn't anything clearly listed to do a partial payment when I'm logging a payment.

Amazing platform and team!
Overall, I have loved the service especially with it being free, it offers multiple functions and the team are amazing to work with. I would love to have this be my only platform for documentation if I could!
Pros
I love the free option for this the most.
Feature wise, I most appreciate the templating options for documentation.
Service wise, I most appreciate the team and their responsiveness as well as, openness to feedback!
Cons
The UI feels visually unappealing as well as, leaves something to be desired in the ways to access notes feels difficult.

Keep up the good work!
I have been very pleased with Carepatron and appreciate the quick response from your team when I have encountered a problem. Updates that I would like for you to consider include: 1) place for a client photo on the personal information page, 2) place for clients to upload a photo ID, 3) ability to create and save a custom signature for use with templates, 4) option to schedule electronic payouts to once per week rather than when processed.
Pros
Carepatron has proven to be an amazing tool for me to create and maintain client records. The platform if very easy to use and client's have expressed their preference for the video platform versus the prior platform I was using.
Cons
While I do not have any significant "dislikes" about Carepatron, there are a couple of things I would like to see available -- that is unless they are already built within the platform and I am just missing how to access them. One is the ability to open the video link in a new tab or window which would allow me to access the client record if needed during a session. Second, I have several teen clients and use the relationships page to connect their parent/guardian to their record. I would like the ability to send parents an "intake packet" all at once rather than having to send each form as a separate document.

Let’s do this together!!!
It’s been great! Staff is responsive, helpful, and focused on what’s important to me and my private practice. They take time to listen and make the adjustments! Thank you!
Pros
I like that I can see my staff’s schedule, rank in templates, and connect with our clients right from the calendar!
Cons
I need the following:
-create an intake form packet that get automatically sent to clients when we schedule an intake (phq9,GAD) and these forms should be able to be completed and when the client hit submit, they should be loaded to their chart for us to review…
-I have interns coming and going, I need a way to have a designated account that multiple interns might be able to use; in the past I’ve made my interns an account and then when their year or semester is over with me, terminated the account; this is a lot of work; i prefer to have one that will allow different interns to use ongoingwingly some how

If you don't want to pay thousands of dollars for an app, Carepatron is the best available and...
Overall, it's hard to find anything to complain about. It is very user friendly, has features that we need, has features that we currently don't need (but may find a use for in the future), and it's free-plan is ample for a small team like us. I haven't yet pitched the transition to our team yet, as I want to make it as seamless as possible (in customizing the templates for intake forms, branding, client information and fields required), but I can't wait to be done with Office 365, having so many windows open (between Word, Excel, OneDrive, and Outlook). Carepatron is a breath of relief, and will help us focus on helping our clients by saving us so much time in communications, workflow, and ensuring information is consistent and available amongst our team and our clients.
Pros
It is one central place to have all of our client information, updates, call notes, documents received from physicians, and payment tracking. It also integrates with Outlook Calendar, which is phenomenal to get a quick view of when we have time to book clients in.
Cons
As it is fresh in my mind, the one-way sync with Outlook Calendar is my least favourite thing about Carepatron. 2-Way updating/syncing would be ideal. I also have to mention that this question is essentially asking me to find something to complain about within Carepatron. The fact that I'm kind-of complaining about a negligible feature like 2 way calendar sync, should be a positive about how great Carepatron is.

It is extremely annoying to be stuck in an environment like Office 365. Especially when most of the useful integrations are an additional cost on top of the yearly subscription. An EHR that grows with you!
Carepatron has been an exceptional addition to my practice, offering a seamless and efficient way to manage daily operations and client interactions. The platform’s ease of use, robust functionality, and ability to grow alongside my practice make it a fantastic choice for any healthcare professional looking to simplify their operations. I highly recommend it to anyone seeking an all-in-one solution for their practice management needs.
Pros
- Intuitive and user-friendly interface, making it easy to navigate even for those who aren’t tech-savvy.
- Simplifies appointment scheduling, reducing time and effort spent on administrative tasks.
- Scales effortlessly with the growth of a practice, accommodating new clients and team members.
- Versatile and adaptable to practices of all sizes.
- Outstanding customer support, with quick and helpful responses.

Top notch. Simple. Great functionality.
Nearly seamless from the outset. Also, customer service is spot-on - [sensitive content hidden] immediately responds to emails regarding questions and/or suggestions.
Pros
1) Simple interface and logical functionality - all of it quite intuitive.
2) Template library with ability to create one's own forms
3) Different viewing options - Day, Week
Cons
Not so much 'like least' but more personal preferences for certain functions:
1) Inability to opt-out of 'pop-up' appt reminders
2) Would like to be able to customize schedule (Calendar) time slots to better the display of appointments.
3) Some of the screen 'real estate' could be condensed for better visualization

Simple and Clean
Overall, I started when Carepatron started and I've seen a lot of growth. I have considered switching to another program multiple times, but the updates seem to be consistent so I do believe my desires regarding the schedule, reporting, and payments from patients will have more capabilities very soon (I truly hope).
Pros
I like how simple the program is, customizable in some great ways. Easy to communicate with patients via notes and appointment reminders. Consistent updates- updates are happening very regularly.
Cons
The reporting is lacking - not easy to run detailed reports especially financial. Unable to post partial payments. Can't really customize the schedule. It almost an all or nothing type of customization. In other words, If I say I'm open Mondays from 9am-4pm it's like that for ALL Monday's. I'd like to click on a calendar and customize my hours each day specifically if needed as well as the current function.

Simply Amazing
I honestly am loving this. I have used it for two months and I still feel this is too good to be true. I feel like I have discovered an amazing secret when I compare it to all the competition. Would (and have already) recommend it in a heart beat.
Pros
Incredibly intuitive and easy to use.
Lovely design.
Does everything I need (I am a therapist) + more (the templates were unexpected; and also multiple calendars I can use for online/in person time slots)
Cons
None at all. I have tried to find something but haven't been able to. I would say that the video feature doesn't have a record session function - but they said that this feature will come in the near future.

Carepatron is great
My overall experience is positive. The customer service is responsive and the product continually evolves based on customer input. Thanks.
Pros
The customer service is great, the product is great. In particular, if I have a special need the product is updated to reflect that need in a timely manner. I like access to the templates so I can customize these for my specific needs.
Cons
I want the product to offer resources to be CRM system in addition to EHR system. An integrated approach would be awesome. To have a BAA covered marketing and communication system integrated with EHR is something missing in the market.

You should try it it's great and easy
Like I said so far I don't have a problem I think it's is a good service for you to be able to just you know have a record depending on what you're doing and it's great to see if you're starting your own little sidekick so and that's what I was doing and I like them they're useful especially the high blood pressure what I really really like that because it's so easy they get to see it for themselves what you're doing so I mean I think it's a good app I know I haven't had any complaints and the doctors or nurses haven't said anything to me so I think it's a good service
Pros
I like the templates I like the fact that for someone who maybe isn't as skilled in something and you're probably doing it as a side gig but you still have to keep a record of certain things the templates are fairly easy you can find practically pretty much something you're looking for and if not you know you can always mess around with it a little bit to change it to suit your needs and it's not much time at all to do that if you have Google docs I like it it helps me keep track of my clients blood sugar add that when I really like it's simple and straight to the point and if you don't even have any knowledge of it or like you're not a CNA or something like that it's pretty much self-explanatory so it's fairly easy
Cons
So far I really don't find anything that's wrong I mean I haven't used a lot of them the ones that I have used they're fairly easy so I mean I can't find anything wrong the site itself

Carepatron Review
I believe that this app has been very useful for healthcare professionals, the best feature so far has been the introduction of AI that helps with note taking.
Once there are new options for note taking or the ability to record calls that may not be through video, it would also be helpful.
Pros
The constant updates with new features that help to make the site more user friendly and help professionals.
Cons
There are often some glitches with the network and because it's a newer application, there are some steps for new clients to take.
When it comes to creating invoices, there are limited options to edit it or create your own customized version.

Pros
I really like health care. Patient gives you the option to literally specify and schedule everything that you need including groups or individual sessions or even the type of video conferencing or over the phone call in the calendar and it makes everything just very easy to use.
Cons

Efficient and User-Friendly Platform for Managing Clients
My overall experience with Carepatron has been very positive, as it’s made managing clients and daily tasks much more efficient. The platform is easy to use, customizable, and supported by a responsive customer service team that ensures everything runs smoothly.
Pros
Carepatron is easy to use and makes managing client information simple.
I like how I can quickly schedule appointments, keep track of progress, and manage documents all in one place. The reminders and client management tools help me stay organized and on top of my work.
What I like most is that it can be customized to fit different needs, whether you're working alone or in a team. The customer support is also great—they are fast and very helpful when I have questions.
Carepatron has made my work much easier, and I recommend it to anyone in healthcare or wellness looking for an all-in-one too

Love it but sadly doesn't integrate with Medicare
4 stars. I really need Medicare, so as much as I love using Carepatron, I am likely to move over to another platform this year so I can integrate with medicare / Xero to keep my accountant happy.
Pros
I love using it, it is easy to use, aesthetically pleasing, can navigate across the system easily. Always doing updates and improving the system. Respond quickly to requests and difficulties. The billing system is brilliant except I don't use it due to no integration with Medicare. Excellent templates and form builders
Cons
No integration with Medicare. A big let down as 90% of my clients submit Medicare claims :(.
It was slow for clients to fill in their intake forms, the software would pause or glitch halfway through and they would loose their form or get frustrated and not submit, so had to do in session time, and also waste time in session checking if they had read and signed essential documents consent signatures etc.. because they forgot they had not completed the forms because of the software glitch. I lost a couple of clients from this as they got so frustrated with the process. Considering they were coming for depression, anxiety and anger issues, this extra negative experience first up, put them off seeing me :(
I nearly closed my account and was going to go to another software due to this, however I think they ironed out the problem now as no client has complained about this lately.
When I go to rebook, it will allow booking on a time slot that is already taken, so I have to waste time shifting back and forth making sure that I haven't double booked.
setting up the referral letters has been tricky and I still can't get it to work properly.

Totally worth the time to try it out!
Very good! The team is extremely responsive & seem to take problems seriously.
Pros
It feels really customizable, and it's so much less expensive than other options that any quirks are really easy to deal with.
Cons
It feels like a new product in the way that there are little glitches that happen pretty frequently. The video platform works really well, unless it just doesn't work at all, which happens once every week or two. And I'll often write up my notes & there are words missing all over the place that are beyond what would be normal typos. It would also be really helpful to have reports. But overall these issues feel manageable. I also think it's problematic that if you move to a different platform, you have to move all of the notes manually. To me it feels bordering on unethical, but I'm hoping they'll fix that issue.

Carepatron - Good value with ongoing progressive improvements
Generally good experience. Happy that it’s being continuously improved, with the improvement being nicely brought to the notice of users. Definitely there are areas for improvements, but very positive that most will be addressed based on the apparent drive to improve the system.
Pros
Good and simple to use system. Fulfills my needs now as a new counseling practice. The help & tutorial features are fantastic - short & very much straight to the point!
Happy to hear about the new AI feature on the video app. Yet to try it though.
Cons
The video was problematic for quite a while (using Apple appliances), until I recently discovered that it works primarily using google Chrome.
Sometimes editing and using templates can be a bit problematic. Unable to tie my icloud calendar to the system (all my appliances are Apple products). Unable to create email folders within Carepatron.

Pros
I needed an EMR that I could customize as closely to the program forms as possible that I contract for. I didn't need billing or any of that other stuff. This EMR was the most affordable and simple program I could find, which was exactly what I was looking for.

Carepatron
So far it's been okay and getting me by. I am glad I can have a minimum amount of clients without having to pay, but I would not want to pay to use this platform unless the ability to documentation was improved so that my clients can see them in their account.
Pros
I like the ease of scheduling and billing for me and clients. The pre-made templates can be helpful too.
Cons
I really do not enjoy that my clients cannot see their documents. Multiple clients do not get notified even when I share a document with them. I need to be able to upload their protocols onto the software so it is secure, but they never receive them so that is very frustrating. It doesn't seem like they have very much access on their end.

Helpful resource for document library
I have enjoyed being able to get to know what all Carepatron has to offer on the free starter plan, especially as a solo practitioner. Right now I probably will only use it for the templates, but I would highly consider changing EHRs in the future depending on my practice's circumstances.
Pros
I really like the customizable templates with the many different options for fillables (checkbox, text box, radio buttons, etc) and electronic signature. I have been able to create templates for practice documents that make my solo practice look professional to doctors offices, schools, etc. I haven't made the switch from TherapyNotes to Carepatron for my EHR, but I like that if I wanted to do so, it would be a seamless process to import based on the tutorial I viewed.
Cons
The primary thing that is cumbersome so far, and part of why I haven't made a decision to switch from my other EHR, is that I haven't figured out how/whether Carepatron handles medical billing/insurance payments. That could be because I'm on the free starter plan and it is part of one of the paid plans. Occasionally the templates can be a bit of a mess to edit if you're customizing someone else's from the template search.

I believe it will significantly improve my practice's efficiency and patient satisfaction. Here's why I love it:

The first thing that impressed me about this EMR system is its simplicity. The user interface is incredibly intuitive, making it easy to navigate through patient records, appointment schedules, and billing information. For instance, setting up a new patient profile or updating existing records can be done in just a few clicks, saving valuable time during busy clinic hours.
Professional Patient Portal
The patient portal is a standout feature. It looks very professional and offers a pretty seamless experience for patients. They can access their medical records and communicate with our office fairly easily. It has timely SMS and email reminders.
Online Payment Offerings
The online payment option is great, and I think will streamline our billing process. There is no current insurance billing ability, but my practice does not accept insurance. Patients can make payments directly through the portal, which is excellent. My current EMR has the same functionality, but it is so complex to use that it is almost problematic. The simplicity and ease of performing the same task with Carepatron is wonderful. Apparently, an insurance billing functionality is being developed.
Bidirectional Google Calendar
Interface Perhaps my favorite feature, and one of my greatest requirements, is the bidirectional interface with Google Calendar. This integration allows me to sync my appointments seamlessly, ensuring that my multiple schedules in Google Calendar are always up to date. For example, if I add an appointment in the EMR, it automatically reflects in my Google Calendar, and vice versa. This has drastically reduced scheduling errors and eased my constant schedule anxiety.
Technical Support
Technical support been absolutely amazing. Their online documentation (written and video) has been extremely helpful, while still being very simple. Correspondence with the technical support team has also been a great experience.
Areas for Improvement
While this EMR system is so very impressive for the extremely low cost, there are a couple of areas where it could be even better. Firstly, a more robust AI integration would be beneficial. While it is amazing that it even includes a clinical AI integration, the current functionality is unfortunately very primitive and frankly, not that useful. I use a standalone AI Scribe that I must copy content from and paste into Carepatron notes. Secondly, the ability to e-prescribe medications directly from the EMR would be a hugely valuable addition, making the prescription process faster and more efficient. Currently, I need to use a standalone e-prescribe software to perform this task. The included templates are user generated and are quite limited. While I appreciate the ability to make my own templates, it would be a great addition to have a more sophisticated functionality in terms of creating those templates, with the ability to have easier navigation and easier data entry during patient visits to create more complex patient records/notes. And while it is not a problem for me, I suspect some healthcare providers would want some integration with laboratory, radiology, or other testing reporting, which I believe it does not have.
Conclusion
Overall, this EMR system has been a breath of fresh air for my practice. Its simplicity (for both me and my staff), professional patient portal, convenient online payment options, excellent integration with Google Calendar, very significant affordability, and great technical support should make it an outstanding choice for many healthcare providers. Despite the minor drawbacks, I highly recommend this EMR system for its exceptional functionality and ease of use. And you can start using it for FREE. It doesn't get much better than that!

The familiarity of the platform with the company.
solid and clean, we have a clear workflow and because it is the same platform vision for everyone, everyone helps each other.
Pros
practicality is a very positive point, it is simple and easy to understand at first glance and this helps train employees to use it
Cons
I think it needs to be more customizable, being able to put the company's face even if it is paid, change place tabs, colors. There could be more tips on how to configure things, educational tutorials with images, pop-ups while you are in the process. It would be cool if, if the platform realized that it was having a lot of errors in the process, a help pop-up would appear to help, like an assistant. It could also have third-party automation. I feel that the system is very restricted, as if it only existed in the world. automations like notion, slack, whatsapp, email, google drive

Essential tool for private practice
Pros
All of the features on this platform are easy to set up, use and are essential to my business. Clients are able to schedule their own appointments which update my calendar. I am able to easily create documents and templates and manage my time more effectively.
Customer support have excellent communication and are available to help with any issues and do this very quickly.
Cons
Although I can create invoices, I do not use this feature as I currently use another platform that allows me to create invoices, receive payments and pay any taxes. If this was added to Carepatron, it would be the only platform I would need for all aspects of my business.

Amazing platform that is easy to use, has advanced customization features, and is affordable!
I am very happy with my overall experience with Carepatron and especially the customer support I received when needing to troubleshoot a couple of minor issues with charting/notes not saving. The team was very quick to respond and remedy these issues, and no issues have ever come up since. This is a platform I will continue using as it is an affordable option with advanced features.
Pros
As a new practitioner starting an online practice, most EMRs cost quite a lot, which is not feasible for new practices just starting out. Carepatron is an alternative that removes this barrier while allowing for customization and ease of use. New features are continuously being added to allow for a more seamless experience for both myself as a practitioner/user and clients.
Cons
Nothing yet! When I first started using Carepatron, it was newer and more limited in features having some limitations to other options like Jane. However, since then, many advanced features have been built into Carepatron and utilization of these features is seamless. Now any feature I need is available when I need.

Cons

Great Option!
We have sought customer service for various questions over the year and their response and time is superb. You always feel like you are being taken care of.
Pros
I love the unfussy appearance and ease of use. Everything is there, but uncluttered. It has the feel of minimalism but with capabilities good for any individual or group practice.
Cons
Lack of connection to Insurance clearinghouse... we need that for at least some of our team members.
