Love Gather, you will too!
It has been wonderful. Everyone I speak or chat with is pleasant, and they are always willing to help, even if what I am asking is silly.
Pros
I like having case information on all my devices, wherever I am. I also love the beauty of our webpages and how case information populates them automatically. We have entered our pre-needs and are working on integrating with Homesteaders, which is a bonus. It is so lovely to be at home and see the pre-need information; it saves trips to the office. I also love that Gather is constantly innovating and adding more features without raising costs.
Cons
I wish I could add more than one video on the remember page. Sometimes, we have a Tukios tribute video and a video recording. I also do not like that the service times change according to time zone. This has tripped up several families, and I now have to add a note below the service information that states the service time and that it is Pacific time. It's just one more step, if the time just displayed as the time zone the service is in there would be a lot less confusion.

Custom and Communicative
We love the product and are reassured that the product is customizable for us. We are glad we switched!

Ease of access for the entire team, aids in communication through being able to check off tasks.
Cons
Delays in response to questions through email. Phone team is great, but they also defer to your "team" through email or phone that can be hard to reach.

Gather and Dopkins
Over all I could not be happier working and using Gather. Each and every representative from Gather has always treated me respectfully and have listened to me and my ideas. I love use Gather and would like to in the future.
However, when we were first working with Gather it seemed to me that we were treated differently especially seen in how if things did not work right or we had a request for a change that change would happen. Yes, Gather has grown since then but by then the expectation was that is how we would be treated. But for me that has not tainted my experience.
Pros
Over all the ease of using Gather has improved and has always been easy to use. The formatting of the program and the user interface provides that easy use. It is customizable within certain parameters which has allowed me to make things easier for my self and my colleagues.
Cons
It is difficult to have families use it remotely. Not 100% sure why but many families either do not understand or get lost. Often families and I go over Vital Statically Information over the phone and they can answer all the same questions that they did not remotely. The user interface is the same for myself or a family member and that I think is preventing an easier time for families using Gather remotely.

Fantastic! It is easy to use, full of great features and family-focused!
Pros
I love nearly every feature that I have encountered so far but some of my favorites include, single point of entry, the AI obituary assistant, and collaboration features.
Cons
If there is something that I like least I suppose it would be that Gather does not interface with my answering service.

Excellent Company
The ease of use is absolutely wonderful. From entering the client's information to using the AI Obituary generator to posting online and the family then being able to go back and look at what people have uploaded.
Pros
Gather is a wonderful company to work with. We had a deadline to meet for our website and we had been looking at other case management systems. They were able to accommodate us in a timely fashion and redo an antiquated homegrown website. We are still in the process of transitioning but the chat feature is wonderful for when you have a question but not want to email.
Cons
At the time of this review, they are not connected to ASD and the firm we do our accounting with.

Superior Funeral Home Case Management Software
Our favorite aspects that make our experience with Gather so positive include the family collaboration, ease of contract creation, and the new, upcoming FTC requirements compliance. It has been one of the best decisions we've made, choosing Gather to partner with us as we continue to serve families as a leader in our market.
Pros
After exhausting our research for a case management software after decades of handling it in paper/carbon copy/typewriter only, we decided to take a trial run with three different companies. Gather was our favorite by far: it is user friendly (even for our technologically-challenged team members); the Gather website seamlessly integrates with the software; our families LOVE the ability to collaborate with the funeral director in charge with writing obituaries, assigning tasks, inviting other helpers, and other awesome integrations made available to them; Gather's mobile-friendly app allows our staff to have access to everything in the palm of their hand - and it is also very intuitive and user-friendly; and the support team, chat feature made available to client users, and overall attentiveness to our needs has been exemplary.
Cons
While we are completely satisfied with the software as it stands, we've been assured that Gather is constantly working to serve funeral directors with their growing needs. We mentioned that integration with ASD is something that would be extremely useful and [sensitive content hidden], told me he is making it one of his priorities to see if such an integration is possible. We haven't found any faults with the software or the support team.

Working with all the folks at Gather, we have meticulously designed and updated software management program for our firm. That means the needs of all sides and facets of our services. Gather is constantly improving the services they render to their clients just as we are as a Funeral provider, they truly believe in the mutual understanding of succeeding together.
Pros
The things I’ve enjoyed the most about Gather is the case management software, our firm operates a large cremation service, as well as a standard traditional funeral service, and a livery service for embalming, transfers, and more! Gather allows me to cross reference my revenue, my case reports and my individual client needs in a smooth, innovative cloud-based way that I can operate from my home, my office, my cell phone, no matter where I need to be.

Gather Software
Excellent. All staff find the system easy to use and management finds the data easy to obtain and follow.
Pros
They software was easy to set up, easy to train staff and has been very easy to implement with out team.
Cons
Monthly payments needed to be associated with a credit card initially but we have not been able to set up ACH payments.

All in one software
Wonderful so far. Our families are much more interactive with our website since using Gather and we have had very positive feedback.
Pros
Gather is all encompassing. Before switching to Gather, I had roughly 5 or 6 vendors I was paying separately, whose tasks could all be done within Gather. I was greatly relieved to have everything under one roof. I had been looking for this solution for years. Their graphics and interface are easy to use and look great.
Cons
The transition to new software is never fun, and that was hard, but Gather was with us every step of the way and guided us through it.

We love Gather
Our bookkeeping will be much more organized with gather and working with families that dont live here will be 100000 times easier for us.
Pros
We love the accessibility of gather and the ability to work remotely and have families help us from outside the funeral home as well. The card reader is also a god send. We are over the moon about it calculating the fees for us and how easy it was to use.
Cons
So far the only issue we have had is getting our old data (1996-on)into the system. It is also seems to have a bit more than we really needed being as we are a smaller firm but I'm grateful that we can customize pretty much everything to make it work for us.

Gather Review
We are solving so many problems of efficiency within our business. We are empowering our families to have a real tangible part of their loved one's funeral, and we have heard nothing but positive things about their experiences.
Pros
What I like most about Gather is how it can be completely personalized with the needs of our business. The integration with our existing business was a dream.
Cons
The only thing I don't like is that when printing the statements, they print on 2 pages, without being able to adjust to be able to print on 1 page.

Pros

Everything in ONE place is amazing!
Our initial experience with Gather was so wonderful. Then, we had a few weeks with no replies which was frustrating. Our case manager was on vacation (well-deserved) but we didn't know that and then took on a new role. We have a new case manager who is also wonderful and helpful. The chat feature ALWAYS results in help within a few minutes and I so useful.
Pros
I like that we can place all information in ONE place as well as use ONE place to enter billing items. I like the showroom with photos of merchandise and also the way we can discount items, modify prices, add notes, and the ability to add "one-time" items.
Cons
We prefer military time for TOD. That is how it's communicated to us and how we enter it into the state database as well as for the crematory. We also prefer to have the SSN unlocked as a default in the death certificate area.

Simply The Best
I enjoy gather cause they aren’t stagnant, they are always looking for ways to improve their product and listen to their customers to see how they can improve. My overall experience with Gather is Terrific. [SENSITIVE CONTENT] has taken time to develop a Platform that is easy for the public and funeral professionals to use. His Team that helps train and then assist is wonderful. Everyone at Gather understands that They work for the grieving families, not the funeral homes. I feel Gather is more of Partner.

the Gather Platform allows our funeral home to assist families create a beautiful online presence of their loved ones. More Then A Software Company
I will have to admit that at first it was the software capability that pushed me to reach out to Gather. After my first interaction with Gather I realized they are so much more then just a "Software Company." They truly embody what funeral service is all about, and that is to serve families.
I can't say enough great things about Gather and their team! They are an absolutely amazing group of people that will do anything to help others! They go above and beyond for us every single time!
Pros
I love the ease of use of the Gather software. It is a program that is very user friendly for our team and the families we serve. Along with it being user friendly, the software is always changing and getting better. Gather is always striving to make their program better and that is just one of many things that make them so great!
Cons
I really can't say there is anything that I dislike about the software. There is obviously things that we ask about changing or editing within the software, but any time we do the team at Gather is always ready to listen and do anything to make it right to fit our needs.

Second to None
I'm a huge fan and recommend them to other funeral homes all the time!
Pros
I am a huge fan of collaborating with families as much as possible. Giving families as much control as possible is essential to their overall satisfaction throughout the experience. The fact that families can use Gather for all their needs, at need and aftercare, is incredible!
Cons
I understand Gather will do custom reports, and have them emailed monthly. I wish this was built into the reporting tab for me to do myself. Specifically, it would be ideal to be able to sort by case types and see specific types of data in the revenue report.

If you are not using Gather, you need to be!
The team at Gather is so helpful and very quick to respond to anything that you might need. They make my job that much easier to do because of the quality service they provide.
Pros
Gather makes everything so easy to navigate and use that it will make you wish you started using it sooner.
Cons
The only thing that I can think that could be done differently is to have the place of death field auto populate that information into other fields that correspond so that it doesn't have to be entered multiple times.

Overall Review
We're working with the Gather team to move a few things around to make it easier for our customers to navigate.
Customers have complained that we don't have obit's on the sites so we explain that it's now up to the families to get the obit on the page so we've started adding a basic death notice to the page and letting customers know that when the family has completed the obit, it will be posted.

Customers are having a hard time finding service info. They're not interested in service details as much as looking for service times. Should be higher on the page, not everyone likes to keep scrolling down the page to look for service times & place.

Overall it's a good experience but not the greatest.
Pros
I especially like the livestreaming and the ability to have clients upload their info.

Professional and easy to use

Pros
Gather is professional in appearance as well as their customer service. We primarily use their live-stream capabilities and they even monitor the feeds and contact us when the discover an issue. Easy fir the layman to use and implement.
Cons
Wired mics. A wireless mic that could be closer to the speaker would be much better.

Excellent Customer Service
