In a world where new fire companies and stations cost multiple millions of dollars, it's critical to be able to reliably predict and communicate the benefits of these decisions. I also really appreciate the ability to dig into the logic of what it's modeling and understand what it's doing and why it's doing it - a lot of other vendors make the "how it's done" so elusive that it's very difficult to validate that it's modeling what it's supposed to. > > **Cons**: There are always minor things that can be improved about any software but my "what I don't like" is limited to very minor tweaks or new ideas. They're pretty receptive to feedback and quick to sort out any issues, so anything I've disliked is moot at this point. > > I've used the software to evaluate impacts to our fire department operations, such as changing response plans, evaluating the performance of specific types of apparatus, adding or relocating stations, and adding and relocating companies.
