NetHealth is Just Terrible

With 24 years of experience in this industry, NetHealth is terrible, layout is bad, functionality is poor, innovation is non-existent.

Pros

Nothing really, if it's the only alternative to hand written documentation it's better.

Cons

Organization of features, lack of fluidity moving through documentation. CONSTANT errors with viewing/printing documentation. Moves very slowly to display documentation, only limitations on what you can view at the same time.

Not the Greatest Choice

I would not recommend using NetHealth due to their lack of customer support and service, if you have a choice. There are many others out there to utilize and that is affordable.

Pros

NetHealth does provide the info needed and works with many other EHR softwares.

Cons

The customer service works at their bare minimum. It takes days/weeks to get a solution or for someone to contact the business back when there is a technical issue.

Great software system for Rehab providers in SNFs that require integration with PCC Nursing

I have had a wonderful experience with Net Health, and it exceeds the needs we have to be integrated with PointClickCare to auto-populate rehab minutes and patient information between the 2 systems, also provide the reports and monthly billing exports that I need to provide to the SNF.

Pros

System meets and exceeds all the rehab needs for our SNF to handle rehab related documentations, certifications, re-certs, progress reports, reports, assessments, projections used for scheduling rehab, daily rehab charges, CPTs, billing exports, time in /out logs, monthly PBJ and labor reports, Clini-SIgn for doctors' eSignatures, Training offered when migrating between Casamata over to Net Health when they merged. Also, great support staff always help resolve any issues quickly!

Cons

Some of my therapists feel the evaluations/certifications are too involved and time consuming due to too many options required to be completed. But once trained well, they understand how to use the system in a more efficient way.

Solid Query Tool for a Team

Aginity is an excellent tool for our team, and everyone can become productive in a short amount of time. It is very intuitive.

Pros

Our team has standardized on Aginity as the query tool. It is reasonably priced, provides great support, and is easy to use. Recently, Aginity has moved from using email addresses to keys for tracking licenses, making the administration significantly easier. The Aginity support team is ALWAYS responsible in a timely manner and works the issue to completion.

Cons

One feature that I would like to see is IntelliSense and autocomplete. The error messages have improved, but I would like to see more specific suggestions.

Several different options for casamba - what version do you have?

Pros

Overall, it's fairly easy to use once you get used to it. Large library of preset verbage, and able to custom write as well.

Cons

I have worked at several different facilities all with Casamba, but no two buildings were the same - all with different features and options.

There are 2 ways to enter your daily billing - which causes some confusion.

The ipods are way too small to complete the documentation.

Worse and horrible ever experienced software.

I am PT with 8 years of experience and worked in multiple settings and used various different software for documentation. So far, the casamba is the most non- professional software with inappropriate content which is made only to try to suck money from the insurance companies. It is a huge pain to the therapist to spend around 30 minutes to type one PT eval rather than spending that precious time on the patient care. All components of casamba are framed in such a way so that the facilities can claim more and more on the billing. I strongly urge to review or revise the software and make it user friendly.

Pros

As a ethical and professional therapist, I like nothing about this software.
As a business owner, this software is great since it determines the most easiest ways to claim high billing to the insurance companies. That's one of the most common reasons, why the SNF's love this software.

Cons

Approximately two and half years ago, our Hospital Administration selected Integritas software to be the EMR for the new Urgent Care/Occupational Health Department that was opening. I personally assumed the role of Project Manager and was quickly involved with the implementation process. Integritas did an excellent job of outlining the roles of the implementation team and their responsibilities.

The implementation does take time and a lot of work, however we were coached along the way; making the process easier. Having the entire implementation process outlined, in addition to the regular conference calls was very helpful. Then, once the platform was created for us, the on-line remote training classes were great. It was nice to be able to walk through the program yourself, while having a trainer watch and assist as needed. The on-site training class for all users was a great step in the implementation process. Computers are great, but sometimes face to face contact is needed for inexperienced EMR users.

We took advantage of the upgrade to Agility HER 10 last year, and have been pleased with the new version. Most recently, we added a Sports Medicine practice, utilizing Agility as the EMR for the practice. The physician with this practice really likes the feature of being able to customize the templates & wizards.

Overall, Integritas has a great product; especially for occupational medicine where services are ala cart for clients. In my opinion, any implementation of a new EMR is going to be stressful for a practice; however, Integritas does a very nice job of guiding the users through the process.

An excellent tool for reviewing and guiding clinical practice

I appreciate the professionalism, knowledge, accessibility, and friendliness of our customer rep.

Pros

The ease of which I am able to connect to any of our locations and review documentation, projection screens, user activity reports, service logs, etc.
I also greatly appreciate the expertise of the Optima staff in terms of staying on top of the federal requirements for therapy provision and documentation. I know how hard that is.

Cons

I don't like the fact that it doesn't run on google chrome. I don't regularly use the documentation myself but when I do, it doesn't seem to be intuitive in where to go next and what to fill out. Also, some of the reports don't translate well when they are save into excel (some rows are too small for the data).

IT (only) Review

Pros

The software is feature rich, and the Therapists that use it rarely complain, which cannot be said about Clinical software we have, and currently use.

Cons

Again, from an IT (only) Perspective, we find the user account management and menu system a bit confusing. This along with various other spots of the account setup for licenses, salaries, and other features can be a bit confusing. This is a small issue, and I'd much rather this be the issue than the use of the software itself for the Therapists. My last, and biggest, complaint is not getting much heads up on updates. If I were to be out of the office during the 24-48 email window, we'd be down for some time.

Poor implementation, lack of support and poor features. Tissue analytics does not work well!

No positive words, our journey has been difficult, and we have had to keep our old EMR for the essential functions and this adds to our expense.

Pros

We enjoy the features that allow for easy billing.

Cons

We regret being talked into the purchase of this EMR. We thought we were upgrading. Instead we have no ability to fax documents out of the system, no ability to assign a task to a staff member, where the patient's chart opens up . Tissue analytics is not healful in measuring the wound, every measurement has to be manually corrected. We have reached out to support to the point that they are sick of us. Especially when our providers needed precription abilities, this took 2.5 months. We were advised to write about all of our concerns into the "communities" section and we have done so, but we are still waiting for basic features in even the older and cheaper EMRs that allow us to fax out referrals, e-prescribe with no problems, and use applications that actually work for tissue imaging.

Love Net Health and would never consider another product

Overall, I've been thrilled with this product. The initial company wasn't responsive to suggestions, but this company is very interested in bettering the product and is committed to making any and all necessary changes.

Pros

Nethealth is the EMR system that I've had since opening my clinic 15 years ago. This piece of software has been part of a few companies, but has grown and developed so much over the years. I love the team, their responsiveness and their commitment to the product. I love the product because it keeps clinicians ultra compliant with documentation and billing. Clinicians can feel confident that what they document and what they bill is what gets sent to the patient's insurance. Practice owners and managers can feel confident that their clinicians notes will be completed quickly if they use the time saving feature of text replacement and templates.

Cons

Net Health needs to do some work in their reporting and analytics space in order to optimize the administrators time and data gathering. However, that's the only immediate need. The team constantly strives to better the product and listens well to feedback!

Net Health XFit is for Therapy Documentation

Awesome...from technical support and the quickness issues are resolved, to the implementation team making sure all are trained and ready for "go live", to follow up meetings to make sure you are maximizing the functionality of your reports.

Pros

The way the documentation can be customized not only based on the patient's issues, but to a particular therapist. Choosing what the evaluation is for to what "special tests" you want/like. The flow of the document from evaluation to treatment note to Progress note to Discharge. No need for looking back to old notes or trying to rely on memory what special tests to consider. The implementation to interfacing with our current billing and medical records storages was seamless and Net Health worked well with other areas to ensure all aspects of billing, storage, and staff training were provided and accomplished.

Cons

There are some glitches that occur- although small. The biggest is that with our system--each account must be closed and a new account opened each month. If there is a gap in care, say a month goes by, you have to manually generate a new account. If the "treatment cycle" is not worded as the initial one was, the flow of documentation ceases. The system thinks that there is a "new" cycle and the notes should not flow with prior cycle.

Net Health is vital to our success

Net Health is THE system to use in the Rehab World. They have an amazing team and are always striving to improve on an already amazing system. They keep us up to date on industry changes and trends.

Pros

Net Health gives us the tools to keep our caseload organized efficiently. It has been a critical part of our day-to-day operational success. It integrates seamlessly with our Nursing EMR. The Net Health team is responsive and proactive in addressing any issues that arise.

Cons

Customizations have been the biggest challenge, but that is an area that is very much improving.

Net Health Review

I have worked with Net Health for 14 years. The support has modified areas to my needs and has always worked with me for solutions.

Pros

I appreciate they take the time to work with us on a one to one basis if necessary to solve any issues or concerns we may have.

Cons

It may take a while to have enhancements added.

I have a multi-clinic urgent care/occupational medicine practice in Nashville, TN. Because we handle both urgent care and occupational medicine cases, it was impossible for many years to find a single-solution program for what we do. There are so many differences between those two types of practices in terms of protocol, handling of information, and billing that, if we wanted to do it all well, we had to have multiple systems in place to manage all aspects of patient care - from the front-end procedure, to the provider encounter, retention of records, reporting and billing.

We had looked at many different systems through the years with the intent to go to a single system, but each time we looked we felt that they just were not yet up to our standards. We had even looked at the predecessor system for Agility in the past. Then, about 2 years ago we looked at them again. Integritas had developed a system that we felt would meet our needs. We ran our numbers, looking at cost savings from trimming the multiple systems down to a single system. Then the advantage of the federal stimulus reimbursement came along to further help offset the cost of implementation. It suddenly became a no-brainer decision to transition from our existing hodgepodge of systems to a single, unified one that was more cost-effective than our current set-up, and would qualify for reimbursement under the meaningful use definition of the stimulus act. We also wanted to ensure this program was CCHIT-certified. (Fortunately, it is!)

So in June of 2010, we implemented Agility. There was training in advance for all our personnel. The training was aimed specifically at the individual groups who would use its different modules. Installation and implementation happened in several phases.

As with any new system, you run into a few bumps when you go live. But learning the system was pretty easy for all of our folks. Even our most resistant physician has mastered the program, and uses it without any problems.

What we noticed very quickly with this system is how well our documentation improved. All charts became easy to read, review and follow. The built-in coding algorithm, combined with improved documentation, has allowed for an improvement in revenue.

I like the fact that the wizards and templates are fully customizable and editable. Every aspect of the patient encounter can be adjusted to the unique needs of the patient. At the same time, being able to automate common and recurring orders and exams with order sets and exam sets speeds things up.

The folks at Integritas have been very helpful when we had questions or suggestions for improvements. This is a system that I have no reservations in recommending.

Optima HospiceSoft program review

Pros

I feel the Software is user friendly. I particularly appreciate the quick Feedback option where you can send an email with questions. Optima staff respond most often on the same day with a phone call. They are always willing to go the extra mile to make sure our questions are answered and understood. I appreciate they take the time to work with us on a one to one basis if necessary to solve any issues or concerns we may have.

Cons

At times I wish it could be more simplified. There seems to be repetitive layers that can be cumbersome to get through.

Excellent software

If you are looking for a user-friendly hospice software, developed by people who understand hospice process and requirements, look no further. Hospicesoft is an excellent program that helps the whole team work together to better fulfill the needs of the patient, eliminating the need for charts full of paper documents,

Pros

The software tracks the many pieces required by multidisciplinary patient care. Excellent dashboards keep administration apprised of what pieces are due, and make finding what you need simple and straight-forward. Finding any piece of the complex patient care puzzle is a breeze. The chart is laid out like any paper chart, and demographics, patient information, every disicipline form, every lab, etc... are all right at your fingertips, only a click or two away. Because it is web-based, there are no requirements for in-house servers, and the information is available from anywhere you have cell or internet access. It can be viewed, or documented, by phone, tablet or computer. There are no specific equipment requirements. Information can be printed, faxed or emailed from within the system (fax requires a very small fee monthly using a service such as RingCentral) to facilities, providers, pharmacies, etc.... Orders for treatments, medications, etc. are easy to update, print, or review. The patient's care plan is a "living" careplan, and revised from within the discipline notes during each visit as the patient's needs changes.

Cons

No interface with a pharmacy benefit manager at this time, so all medications, orders, changes, etc... do have to be entered separately into the pharmacy program. Because the careplan is revised from within the discipline notes, and defaults in from the previous notes all charting has to be done sequentially. For patients with frequent visits, this is sometimes an issue.

Alternative EMR to Epic

I used the system for almost 2 years and the training sessions really help you to understand how to perform what you need to do on it.

Pros

The software has security features that EPIC does not have the current capabilities to perform.

Cons

There are at times a few more steps to get certain processes done that not all EMR's require, however the system is easy to undo any mistakes that are done.

Optima

I don’t even know where to start there are sooooo many negatives. My background: 30 years experience, working w therapy programs since late 90’s— and none made me consider quitting my job. Extraordinarily frustrating, tedious, time consuming program with glitches, circular glitches, no saves for a variety of different circumstances, consumes all of my attention to read the 4 or 5 size font lettering and visually screen the page for endless, mandatory boxes to click on, scrolling page right to left and top down — anything missed ( often inconsequential) will force me to go thru pages to find it. Yesterday had to write my saved notes twice bc my computer lost power—8- 10 minutes each note each time, eval takes min of 45 min computer time of 100% focus. I had to leave twice my work bc I wasted so much time in my frustration— to complete the next day. Oh, I’m prn— the fulltime ppl do their paperwork at home and are unpaid—2-3 hrs per night. A horrible, terrible program using technology from the 90’s. It’s counterintuitive. Avoid at all costs— if ur therapists can even read the size 4 font— they will soon need a stronger Rx. My productivity is now 50-60% with my best effort.

Pros

Zero— none— zilch. There is nothing to like— I can’t read previous treatments or evals without endless clicking
, no shared med hx between disciplines,

Cons

Any positive reviews I’ve read are 3 or more years old. I seriously doubt those are therapist reviews, probably professional reviewers who are paid.

A comprehensive program that delivers across the board therapy use

This program has delivered more than most programs in home health as a therapist and is easier with functionality for me as a user. It allows enough flexibility to truly move through a home health work day without being so detail driven that it takes forever to load a schedule or upload signatures, documents, etc.

Pros

This program interfaces the various aspects of home health therapy well and delivers a product that allows users (therapists, etc.) to maintain a good work flow throughout their day.

Cons

Like most home health software programs, getting around loss of wifi signal can be challenging and time consuming. Onboarding also takes time for new hires.

Makes rehab management in SNF much easier

I have used several versions of Casamba with different rehab companies. As a manager, the reports saved me time when my customers needed quick information. I have always felt that Casamba has been user friendly to use as a COTA and manager. How to setup and do the evals needs work, but I have always found it easier to use than Rehab Optima. Love the planner!!

Pros

The planner makes planning minutes and tracking ARD's much simpler. The reports aren't difficult to get to and are a quick way to get information for my clients. The alert system aids in making sure all documentation is thoroughly completed before closing and that it is completed in a timely manner within compliance.

Cons

The evaluations aren't as user friendly for the evaluating therapists. They have to choose their goals based on CPT codes and not just on what they want their functional goals to be.

Very user friendly

Thanks and keep up the good work!

Pros

Everything. I love how user friendly it is. It has a variety of reports that are very helpful in our everyday use. It makes documentation easy. Customer service is the best. If they don't know the answer, they will find someone who does and wait time is always minimal. They always keep up with the changes and provide education for their users.

Cons

I wish that the CPT codes that are billed would be the only ones to show up in the notes section without having to "upgrade" to get this. This can be confusing at times and sometimes leads to documentation mistakes.

Initial Customer Service Impression was Bad

My overall initial experience with this company did not leave a good impression. I cannot and would not recommend this company, based on the initial customer service and this company not providing a demonstration as noted on their website without going through a huge process. For a therapy practice, customer service support is essential. If the initial customer service of this company is any indication of what their customer service is like after the sale, I would avoid this company at all costs.

Pros

Unable to convey any pros at this time. The website was organized okay but did not provide adequate information on their products and services in order to make an informed decision.

Cons

We went to the Net Health website to sign up for a demonstration. I was supposed to receive a demo, however, received a phone call from a representative stating this was a 10 minute phone call to see "if our software is a right fit", like being interviewed for a job. I asked the rep about my requested demo and she stated we could not have one until we went through their process of "discovery". She wanted to schedule me with a gentleman for a 30 minute phone call the next day. I informed her I did not want a phone call but wanted a demo as indicated on their website.

Cons

It does not do my paperwork for me. But it does provide templates that are easy to use.

Mixed experiences

Pros

What I like most about this software is it is ascetically pleasing and very user friendly. This software makes it easy for clinicians to document notes and schedules for patients.

Cons

What I like least about this software is the glitches that have been happening ever since the update that happened at the beginning of this year. I wish we could go back to the old system before the update migration was done.

Review from a Billing Specialist using HospiceSoft

HospiceSoft is one of the easiest software's to use on the market specifically for Hospice Facilities.

I have found that the billing is super easy and very self-explanatory as well as posting payments.

Our Nurses love the "ease" of the paperwork as well and how HospiceSoft makes it so convenient for them to complete their paperwork and also in a timely manner.

The dashboard I find very useful because once you customize it to your liking, it is there for you to point and click....

I really don't have any negative feedback.. Customer service is always on standby and readily available to answer any questions that we have.

Pros

Billing; Posting; Ease of Nursing Documentation; Dashboard; Customer Service

Good once you get used to it

Overall it is a solid choice for documenting and managing my day.

Pros

I like the pre written templates which makes documenting notes much faster and more accurate. It reminds me what I need to make sure I have in each note.

Cons

It can be difficult to tailor the goal templates to each individual patient to make it more personalized.

Pros

Cons

I do not like this software since the most recent update that was done in April of 2019. Our company has had a hard time getting issues resolved in a timely manner. It seems as if this update was done prior to figuring out the quirks.
