Il software permette la collaborazione tra più utenti consentendo agli stessi di condividere il proprio piano di budget e semplificando il processo di approvazione di spesa. È possibile infatti, creare all’interno del programma gerarchie personalizzare che ben rispettino il potere di approvazione in azienda. Hyperion Planning, grazie alle sue funzione di analisi avanzate permette di effettuare previsione dettagliate sulle spese future e gestire in modo migliore il capitale a disposizione, aumentandone il ROI. Elemento importante è la possibilità di creare report personalizzati, interattivi da usare sul programma o statistici da distribuire in automatico a tutti gli stakeholders.

> **Cons**: Implementare il software in azienda non risulta banale e richiede significativi investimenti. Gli aggiornamenti, spesso, vanificano le personalizzazione effettuate ed è necessario impostarle da capo con una notevole perdita di tempo.

> Utilizzo Oracle Hyperion Planning per la gestione del bugdet assegnato ai miei progetti e per definire una stima futura delle spese. Gli strumenti di previsione ed il grado di dettaglio raggiunto dal software, nonché la possibilità di avere dati aggiornati in tempo reale da più fonti mi consente di migliorare la profittabilità dei progetti che seguo. Abbiamo, inoltre, installato il software in alcune aziende cliente, al fine di soddisfare la loro necessità di migliorare l’efficienza della pianificazione finanziaria. In tali occasioni mi sono resa conto che il primo impianto del software non è banale e richiede ingenti spese. Ciò nonostante tutti i clienti sono rimasti soddisfatti delle potenzialità di Hyperion Planning.

> **Pros**: Oracle Hyperion Planning è una piattaforma di gestione delle performance aziendali che gestisce a supporto del budgeting e della pianificazione. La piattaforma si integra con Oracle Essbase e questo fornisce un ambiente che permette di eseguire analisi e simulazioni complesse. Il software permette di gestire entrare ed uscite in modo dettagliato mediante la creazioni di business specifici, ad esempio costi legati al personale e supporta l’approvazione di spesa, semplificandone il processo e tenendone traccia. Le speso possono essere allocate sui vari progetti in con diversi metodi, come Activity-Based Costing o il Driver-Based  Costing.

> **Cons**: L’interfaccia di Oracle Hyperion Planning risulta piuttosto datata, poco moderna ed in linea con gli standard grafici attuale, questo elemento può ridurre il piacere nell’uso del software e portare alcuni utenti a preferire soluzione alternative. Inoltre non è particolarmente semplice da utilizzare.

> Utilizzo il software nella gestione dei progetti che seguo ed al fine di supportare i clienti della società per cui lavoro nella gestione di processi e pianificazione finanziaria. In diversi progetti il software è stato utilizzato, in collaborazione con i team interni del cliente,  per creare  modelli di budget e previsioni e per strutture report di analisi al fine di facilitare la comprensione delle performance delle diverse aree di azienda ed identificare eventuali punti di miglioramento. Molto utile è la capacità di Hyperion di simulare scenari alternativi all’attuale e prevedere le performance futuro di un progetto, in tal modo si possono strutture piani strategici tenendo conto di ogni possibile occorrenza.
