Get Fermentable. Just do it.

Using Fermentable has simplified raw materials management and ordering, brewhouse scheduling and inventory management for our small microbrewery and is an incredibly affordable option. It doesn't necessarily have bells and whistles that some other, more expensive brewery management software has, but Fermentable does exactly what it says it will and with relative ease.

Pros

Ease of workflow is the best thing about Fermentable. Once you've built your recipe database, received raw materials and schedule your brew days, everything tracks and cascades pretty seamlessly. From grain to gone, traceability and inventory tracking are built in and relatively simple to follow.

Cons

There are some minor functionalities regarding our state Excise Tax reporting that I wish were available (being able to differentiate easily between retail and wholesale transactions) that do leave me having to a little bit of spreadsheet magic.

Great solution at an affordable price

The development team have listened to our feedback and have in most cases modified the product to fix any issues we have had

Pros

Fermentable allows me to schedule brews visably, and effectively. change schedules as need be and the stocktake feature is the best i have seen

Cons

Fermentable has been developed and upgraded as we have been using it for the last few years. most things we were not happy about have been fixed in software upgrades.

Ollie Falls Short

Very upsetting. Staff was not properly trained to teach and demo. Impossible to get in touch with support in a timely manner. Overall a big let down.

Pros

the dashboard - and the color scheme of their logo

Cons

Support, Reporting, invoicing, manufacturing process, and everything we needed the program to do

FermentAble Review

Pros

Inventory tracking and brew scheduling work well. Makes it easy to calculate cost per batch.

Cons

When entering recipes, you can only enter in pounds, adding the ability for pounds and ounces would be helpful. If you forget to "start brew" on brew day and try to start the following day, the brew date cannot be changed.
