## Reviews

### "Pretty Darn Good" — 5.0/5

> **Carmine** | *28 May 2025* | Medical Practice | Recommendation rating: 10.0/10
>
> **Pros**: The almost unbelievable support your support team gave me when I had a program corruption due to a power surge-- can't say enough good things\!
>
> **Cons**: Data search engine is good but I think can be better. I use it and DT Search program, which to me seems more robust
>
> Very happy a lot of your upgrades are aimed at big industry that smaller parties really do not need but no big deal for me, I just use what I need. I have the small business edition and have been using docsvault since it's been in business\!

### "Nimble and common sense system with lots under the hood." — 5.0/5

> **Mark** | *24 June 2026* | Hospital & Health Care | Recommendation rating: 10.0/10
>
> **Pros**: Docsvault is constantly upgrading with new features and their support staff is very responsive. It's also feels very natural. Out of al the systems we looked, Docsvault just had common sense navigation. Not to mention the OCR and search ability. The document approval worklflows have have streamlined a lot of our processes. Their API allows us to set up notifications with other applications like Docusign. It's also 21 CFR part 11 compliant which is required for the FDA regulated studies we do.
>
> **Cons**: The API can be a bit onery. We were also hoping to use the web access as a kind of read only system for other departments, but it just doesn't work like that. That necessitated buying read only licenses for anyone else who needs to view documents in Docsvault.
>
> Overall, the experience has been great. This is leaps and bounds above our last system. My research department has been very happy with the document approval and tracking. The support team has been great\! Thanks Vishal\!

### "Activation Support for Older Versions Sucks" — 2.0/5

> **William** | *8 September 2025* | Individual & Family Services | Recommendation rating: 0.0/10
>
> **Pros**: Great organizer for personal use. I like how it creates tabs and sections and be able to edit the tags.
>
> **Cons**: I purchased years ago, version 4, for personal use and it was quite expensive for a single user. I had to reload it on a new laptop but wouldn't activate. The company says they no longer support activation of version 4, and its a way for you to buy a newer version where you pay more amount of money again. Now that I can't afford buying a newer version, I have to resort to another storage software. But the problem is, when you store documents, they are stored with a file name other than the one that you have given it. So, whatever software I decide to use for storage, I have to go through thousands of pdf documents, look at each one, and rename them to something meaningful.

### "DocsVault Review" — 5.0/5

> **Shenor** | *7 July 2026* | Security & Investigations | Recommendation rating: 10.0/10
>
> **Pros**: What I like most about Docsvault is its ability to centralize document storage and make information easily accessible across the organization. The search functionality is efficient, making it easy to locate documents quickly, and the document organization features help maintain a structured repository. I also appreciate the user permission controls, version management, and overall ease of managing business documents in a secure environment. These features have helped improve document accessibility, collaboration, and overall document management processes.
>
> **Cons**: The primary challenge we have experienced with Docsvault has been the performance of the desktop application, particularly the latency users encounter when accessing documents. This has impacted the overall user experience and prompted us to explore the web version as a potential alternative. We would also welcome continued enhancements to performance, responsiveness, and user experience, along with additional guidance on best practices for optimizing deployments.
>
> Overall, my experience with Docsvault has been positive. The application provides a centralized and efficient way to store, organize, and retrieve documents, making document management more streamlined across the organization. Its search functionality, version control, and user access management are valuable features that support day-to-day operations.

We have experienced some performance and latency issues with the desktop application, which is why we are exploring the web version as a potential alternative to improve the user experience. Despite these challenges, the platform has proven to be a reliable document management solution, and we appreciate the support provided by the Docsvault team in helping us address technical issues and optimize our environment.
Overall, Docsvault has been a useful solution for our business, and we look forward to further enhancing its performance and usability.

### "Great Document Management Software\!" — 5.0/5

> **Anita** | *4 December 2025* | Law Practice | Recommendation rating: 10.0/10
>
> **Pros**: The technical support is excellent - prompt, skilled and personable. They offered personalized how-to videos, in addition to calls and screen sharing to resolve questions. The customer-facing support staff is small enough to get to know their clients, yet they are backed by engineers who can address issues very quickly.

I appreciate that they offer a full administrator's manual, not just links to click. Reading the full manual helped prepare me for implementation.

Pricing is good, and certainly more reasonable than the alternatives I considered. It was also important to our attorneys to have an on-premise solution, and I was thankful to find Docsvault is committed to maintaining an on-premise product.
>
> **Cons**: This is my first experience with SQL File Stream, and that has taken some getting used to. I liked the Worldox "Indexer" (Database) model that ran on a desktop class machine, while the documents were stored on a file server. I had a previous, non-related bad experience with an NAS, and did not give that configuration serious consideration.
>
> Excellent. They made the transition from our previous DMS, Worldox, as painless as possible. The migration process was smooth. I would highly recommend a trial migration (we did one with an older dataset) to really see how the data behaves.

The Docsvault built-in PDF viewer product is amazing -- more features than Adobe Acrobat. We work with PDFs quite a lot and it is great having such a full-featured tool for redactions, re-ordering pages, etc.
