About ProClass

ProClass is a cloud-based registration solution that helps in online registration, membership management and payment collection. It is suitable for designing learning programs and training business associations within nonprofits and charity foundations. It features class management, attendance tracking, event management, registration and batch payment processing. ProClass allows institutes to list class schedules online for students to register for available classes and training programs. Students can update personal contact information through the student portal. It also helps students to make online payments for the subscribed courses, purchase and renew memberships and view historical registrations for their account. ProClass's class management feature offers event scheduling where the attendees get information about the event, registration and payment processing. The institutes can also track the progress of attendees and award certificates to students. ProClass offers integrated fundraising and donation management features where users can receive online donations and send automated confirmation emails and other notifications to donors. Support is available to customers via phone and email.

ProClass is Pro!

Using ProClass allows me to streamline some the steps in clients booking corporate on-site training and accepting other forms of payment; besides checks.

Pros

The customer service is exceptional. I can call tech support, e-mail or chat on-line. They'll even set up customized webinars for staff learning to use Pro-Class. I did not expect to get such support or a quick response to even my basic questions and even more complex problems. I also like that our clients/students can sign up for classes on their own and make payments using a secure site.

Cons

I wish the manual covered more material. But the manual leaves off, the customer service covers.

ProClass is a great system, but very pricy

Overall I had a positive experience with ProClass, but ended up have to switch due to the high yearly cost of the software

Pros

Helped keep everything well organized and overall was a decent software.

Cons

ProClass has some very nice features and I overall liked the software, but since we are a small non-profit, we had to switch to WooCommerce because of the cost of ProClass.

Alternatives Considered

WooCommerce, Salesforce Sales Cloud and Squarespace

Reasons for Switching to ProClass

ProClass was a better fit for us and our needs, but ended up switching to WooCommerce in the end strictly due to the yearly cost of ProClass

Marketing savvy folks should not use Proclass

Pros

Proclass is great if you only have a simple structure such as an art studio only offering art classes. The customer service rep we have is AMAZING....he's been doing his absolute best to try to find work arounds and patches, but as a growing business, this hasn't been a great experience. Though he's really the one we keep going back to. The other reps have tried to be helpful, but none of them have found workarounds or solutions for us and the challenges we face with Proclass were ones that could significantly impact our business.

Cons

Proclass is great if you only have a simple structure such as an art studio only offering art classes. However, if you run a series of classes AND are marketing savvy with different offers or complex structure for camps, this is definitely not a system for you. The functionality simply isn't there.

The API is a joke. It is not a fully developed API so expect to do some heavy coding.

These features are successfully in use by hundreds of organizations in diverse industries including summer camps, after school programs, arts organizations, lifelong learning and continuing education, and others with varied and complex scheduling and program structures.

Our API is being successfully used by many clients and allows read only access to a vast selection of data. Customers have successfully used the API to integrate ProClass to their websites as well in house real time video schedule displays and as with other various applications. It is a developer tool and should be used only by qualified developers who are familiar with XML, Json, and Odata standards.

ProClass Saved Us Volunteer Time

The training and support from ProClass were/are excellent. They were patient in helping us to understand how to set up the software for our needs. We appreciate the updates and new features. Everyone here is so pleased that we made the switch.

Pros

Flexibility: The ability to configure this software to meet our needs, to change the terms used and the thoughtful design has been very helpful to us.
Attendance: the front-end attendance function has saved us countless volunteer hours with our instructor teams.
Query ability: we can pull from the database to answer so many user/management questions.

Cons

The back end is a bit intimidating to learn how to use, although the new version promises an easier user interface. We had big efforts getting our users trained, but now our users really enjoy ProClass.

ProClass is a Great Tool for Education Administration

I was thrown into ProClass last year when our lead administrator resigned. While I had a very good technical guide to follow, when I called or emailed ProClass, I got hands-on support. The technical support from ProClass is outstanding. The trainers are also very polite and supportive -- best technical support I've received in years!

Pros

Once I was trained, I found ProClass easy to use. It has a ton of features, and we probably only use about 50% of what it can do.

Cons

Sometimes, it can take too long to call up a class. It might be do to having too many widgets that we don't use, so I'm going to remove some and see if it helps.

With regard to your comments on the time to pull up a class page - we are releasing a update jutt this week that will improve this by upt o 50% and bring load times to under 2 seconds in most cases.
