Google Workspace facilitates voice and video conferencing through Google Meet, with support for up to 250 participants. I rarely use any other product on the market

My overall experience with Google Workspace is overwhelmingly positive. I think the setup of all the products is extremely user friendly. You can customize things but not so much that it gets overwhelming. They formatted the documents/spreadsheets/slides after Microsoft products so those of us who grew up using those aren't completely lost. The Google Drive and Google Calendar are similar: both have unique features but are similar enough to some of the original computer products that they did not require any re-training to use. I have not converted to using a Google phone yet but honestly writing this review is making me realize how much I would probably like it.

Pros

What I love most about Google Workspace is how easy it is to collaborate with other people. I can't stand it when my coworkers still use other products that have to be repeatedly saved, downloaded, and emailed. My second favorite feature is how everything saves automatically. Anyone born before the 21st century remembers how awful it was to lose a document you'd been working on for hours and then forgot to save!

Cons

What I like least about Google Workspace is probably the maps functions. I have an iPhone so I have all of my places saved in iMaps.

Getting charged for no service

It sucked! Navigation was circular, I spent hours trying to sign a BAA, with no success.

Pros

When it worked, it was easy to access the drive.

Cons

It was discontinued after the trial period, although I am still being charged for the service I don't have. There is no way to contact customer service, so my only recourse is to challenge the charge on my card each time it comes up.

Simplify your work with Google Workspace.

Pros

The best thing about Google Workspace is its simplicity. It allows users to have everything in one place with its easy access to all Google Apps combing collaboration, organization, communication and productivity. The best thing is that it has a version for Education that is offered generously free of charge to institutions.

Cons

I love Google Workspace because it has made my job easier as an education leader. It would be great if the format of the documents in Google Docs remains the same when downloaded as it changes in some instances.

Better than Microsoft

For the most part excellent . Though they poorly timed updates and emails on different changes in Admin things that have to get done get annoying. I just want it to work and once it does, I don’t want them to mess with it.

Pros

Some of the best parts of Google workspace are it integration with of course Gmail and calendar and the fact that the interface is just so intuitive and pretty much everyone knows how to use it .

The other great feature of Google workspace is the fact that it leverages the power of Google search within your workspace environment so finding emails documents calendar entries are so easy and if you systematically and consistently label items properly that leveraging gets taken up a notch .

The big pro is it is so much more cost-effective than Microsoft .

Cons

The biggest con with Google workspace is Google‘s attitude of killing things off. If you become dependent on using one other tools and they decide to kill it off, they leave you stranded. Such as Jamboard.

It would be nice if they added a little more crossed product integration. We use Google chat and spaces with a unique space for each client household that we deal with. We use it as a way for the team members to keep each other up-to-date on what we’re working on and our progress. It would be nice to be able to flag emails and documents and link them to the chat space currently we can only do tasks.

Workspace works! (After a little getting used to).

Overall, after getting through the learning curse, it has been a solid experience. We use it for my wife's business as a speech and language pathologist, and it works great for us.

Pros

The ease of achieving HIPAA compliance, the easy of use for business, and the security of knowing that the workspace is always going to be there.

Cons

There were quite a few steps to getting it all setup. Not having prior experience, it required some research when it came to knowing what went where, definition of terms, and the impact of adding users on pricing.

The best for organization!

Pros

Google Workspace is so easy to use. I love that I can so easily keep track of all of my businesses' needs inside of one platform and that everything syncs so easily. I've really enjoyed organizing all of my files within Drive, linking Docs to Tasks, syncing Tasks to my Calendar, setting up Appointment Schedules within Calendar, and embedding Forms into my Appointment Schedules. Everything is so smooth and streamlined.

Cons

I would love to see a mobile version of Google Tasks and I would love to see this get built out to work a little bit more like Asana, Trello, or Monday. I also would love to see Google Slides function a little more like PPT or like Canva.

After almost 5 years of using Google Workspace, I can say the platform is very complete for all the needs of any business regarding the tools needed for daily work.

Pros

Google Workspace offers a secure and robust platform for users, emails, and files management for our company. Also, it integrates seamlessly with many systems out there, and it offers a variety of app integrations.

Cons

It is difficult to get someone from Google on the phone; in order to contact a tech for an issue, you need to use the chat bit first before getting an agent on the chat.

"Efficient and Collaborative Tool for Gym Management"

Overall, my experience with Google Workspace as a gym manager has been very positive. It provides a reliable, flexible platform that helps us manage team communications, class schedules, and document sharing efficiently. The real-time collaboration in Google Docs and Sheets makes it easy to track class attendance, update schedules, and keep everyone in sync. Google Calendar is essential for scheduling classes and personal training sessions, as it’s accessible across all devices, which our staff and members appreciate. There are some areas where it could be more streamlined, but Google Workspace has made organizing and managing our operations far simpler, which ultimately helps us deliver better service to our members.

Pros

As a manager at a gym, what I like most about Google Workspace is the ability to streamline communication and scheduling. Google Calendar makes it easy to schedule classes, set reminders, and share schedules with team members, which keeps everyone on the same page. With Google Drive and Docs, I can quickly create and store shared documents, like training audits, attendance sheets, and class schedules, so our team can access essential information anytime. Collaboration is smooth and efficient, as we can edit documents in real time, leave comments, and assign tasks—all of which help us stay organized and reduce downtime. Plus, Gmail and Google Chat provide quick communication channels, making it easy to stay connected with the team, address member questions, and coordinate on the go.

Cons

One challenge with Google Workspace as a gym manager is that some of the tools can feel a bit fragmented, especially when switching between multiple apps like Calendar, Drive, and Chat to manage different aspects of the business. It would be helpful if there was a more centralized dashboard that could integrate everything in one place, so we don’t need to keep toggling between apps. Also, while Google Meet is great for virtual meetings, it lacks some of the advanced features we’d want for interactive sessions or training, like in-meeting feedback or easy file sharing for participants, which would make it more effective for team coordination. Finally, new team members sometimes find the learning curve a bit steep, especially if they’re not familiar with Google’s interface, so training time can be a bit longer.

Efficient, Seamless, and Perfect for Team Collaboration!

My experience with Google Workspace has been overwhelmingly positive. It has transformed the way I work, making collaboration with my team so much easier, regardless of where we are. The platform’s ease of use and accessibility on all devices has streamlined our workflow, saving us time and enhancing productivity. For anyone looking to improve team communication and document management, Google Workspace is a powerful solution that’s well worth considering.

Pros

Google Workspace’s best feature is how seamlessly integrated it is across all its tools. The ability to switch effortlessly between Gmail, Google Drive, Docs, Sheets, and more within a single platform boosts productivity and makes collaboration so much easier. The real-time editing and commenting features are invaluable for team projects, and the cloud storage provides reliable access to files from anywhere. Additionally, Google Workspace’s security and privacy features offer confidence for sensitive work.

Cons

The main downside is that some advanced customization and formatting options, especially in Google Docs and Sheets, are a bit limited compared to desktop software like Microsoft Office. There are also occasional connectivity hiccups when working with large files or across multiple accounts, though these issues are infrequent. Also the cost to emerging SME owners

Fantastic and Modern Tool

I've been using Google Workspace here and there with my current company and two previous companies as well. I use it for collaborating on documents, collaborating on spreadsheets, hosting company files in the cloud, and sharing processes in need of updates.

Pros

I love how lately I can do tabs in Google Docs. And before that, I loved that I could insert a link to a Google Workspace file and then tab to change the link into a linked button of it's own with the file title.

Cons

I don't love the way that it's not quick and easy to move Google Docs or Sheets back and forth between different folders. I wish that Google Drive worked more like a desktop, with ability to have multiple folders open side-by-side.

Pros

Google Workspace Has Helped Us Become a More Efficient Organization

The apps within Google Workspace are intuitive to use and require very little onboarding to get new team members up to speed. It was worth the investment to us to have custom business email, more cloud storage on Drive, two-step authentication, and longer Meets, especially as our departments navigate a variety of remote, hybrid, and on-site working environments across all our teams. Being able to at-mention other stakeholders in documents and sheets is a game-changer for us, as it helps to keep projects moving quickly forward.

Pros

Having our whole organization on Google Workspace helps us to collaborate efficiently and effectively together. Our collaborative processes flow seamlessly between applications: our marketing team can quickly connect with subject matter experts and product owners to create content for campaigns, for example. It's critical for us to keep projects moving, and we couldn't do this well without Google Workspace.

Cons

The one tool that we didn't find helpful within the Google Workspace is the Google Chat. We needed more advanced features for notifications and project management. However, the are some Slack plug-ins for Google Docs that have been really helpful for us in sharing collaborative documentation and in planning campaigns.

Google Workspace Does It All Very Well!

After using Google Workspace for more than 2 years, I felt satisfied about the product that the company introduced. I would like to use that again when building other organization or when joining another organization that uses Workspace.

Pros

I find Google Workspace to be very helpful for smaller organizations willing to open their business. What I like about the tool is its simplicity of the feature usages, including Gmail, Calendar and Meet.

Cons

While I don't find the strong negative, I would like to see more implementation to the Google Workspace, which may pertain to additional admin control to the users.

The best in the business

I have nothing but great things to say about it. All aspects of my business are covered by Workspace's offering. Everything is covered, down to signing documents electronically, which is a big deal for me as I sign non-disclosure agreements on a regular basis.

Pros

As a writer and freelancer, Google Workspace is an absolute saver. From having a personalized company email to Meet, which allows me to have longer video meetings with clients, to Drive which stores all my work, to Docs which allows me to collaborate with clients in real-time and its even better now with Gemini integrated across various products. I can't say enough good things about it.

Cons

Honestly, I have zero complaints thus far. I use and enjoy Workspace on a daily basis.

We use Google Workspace for everything!

Our overall experience with Google Workspace has been great! Easy to use, yet still professional, limitless help articles, and fairly quick customer service for questions.

Pros

We love using Google Workspace for our dance studio business! Since a lot of our team are independent contractors, Google has proven the best way to share information with everyone, regardless of what type of brand or device they have. PC or Mac, Samsung or Iphone, laptop or tablet, etc, Google can be easily accessed and utilized by everyone. We use Google Workspace through SquareSpace (our website) and it integrates seamlessly.
- We use Google Forms if we need to gather precise information from staff or even to poll our clients. This ensures we get all the information we need since you can choose which questions to make mandatory. The forms are very basic, so they don't work for everything we need, but part of its user-friendliness is how simple it is to set up!
- We use Google Docs and Spreadsheets to easily store and sort through data. Years ago, before we found the database we currently use, we actually sorted client information and class rosters, etc, through Spreadsheets. You can also use it to easily convert Excel or Numbers files.
- Google Docs is fantastic if we are collaborating on a new stage production or event. We can share whatever ideas we have with anyone who has an email (doesn't have to be a gmail), and then we can quickly change the settings so that they can directly edit, or just view and/or leave comments. That is great when we want to see individuals leave feedback but not alter the original document. This is also a helpful feature when proofreading content, as is the ability to see revision history.
- And of course, Google Drive lets you organize and share all your docs, spreadsheets, or forms in an orderly manner.

Cons

I think further security measures within Google Workspace would allow more companies to utilize it, although there may be add-on features that could help with certain areas. For example, if you need to encrypt anything, you have to download the document or spreadsheet as a PDF, and then use your computer's settings to encrypt the PDF. It would be great if there was a way to do that simply from the original Google Doc or Google Spreadsheet itself. (Again, there may be an add-on for this that one could purchase.)

Also, Google Forms is very simple (which make them easy to use!), but there are some additional features that would really up their game. For example, conditional questions that jump a person to a certain question/section based on their answer, or a choice eliminator feature, where certain options are automatically removed from the list once an X number of people has selected it (like volunteer spots, or pick-up times). There are ways to work around this for sure, but we usually end up using another Form builder for specific and more complex needs like that.

Lastly, it would be great if Google developed more common templates within Spreadsheets that companies might use. They have a few for task/project management, very simple budget tracking, but nothing complex. They probably assume businesses will have someone developing complex spreadsheets, or that we can utilize a different program, but if they had more templates designed for small businesses, schools, etc, I'm sure smaller companies would find them very helpful. As it is, you can probably find whatever template you need by doing some research on YouTube or the internet.

Connect, Message, Respond, Relax

Overall, Google Workspace has streamlined the process of not just keeping in touch with people day to day, but also connecting with important new contacts. One of the latest features I have found quite useful is being able to take notes on specific emails and have that on the side. It would be nice if there would be an indicator on the main email inboxes which messages have notes attached to them however.

Pros

That even having been a user for years, I am still discovering new-to-me very useful tools that I can take advantage of even in my day to day life.

Cons

Sometimes It feels like it is overly complicated. Too many buttons and things to choose from that don't always have clear purpose without doing some searching.

Google Workspace Friend or Foe?

My overall experience with Google Workspace Is a pleasant one. Especially the ease of use to create emails and to bring other team members on task. I also like the access of the Google apps, the Google Store, and the Google Market I feel that those Integrations are smooth

Pros

One of my favorite features about Google workspace was the ability to easily create other emails for other members on your team. You have a lot of control Of the permissions that you assigned to your teammates in addition to the easy integration of other Google applications at your fingertips. Teammates could also create other email accounts for new teammates. The main administrator would not always have to be in the office creating other emails for new team members so this saved a lot of time!

Cons

Whenever I needed to switch between different Administration profiles and different security passwords It was a bit troublesome and it was not that user friendly. In fact it is a bit clunky and I feel that it should be an easier experience. I feel that the double triple security measures that Google uses for passwords between accounts and its users is way over the top. There have been times where I've been asked for my state ID when the password was correct! These kinds of methods slow things down a lot amongst the administrators and staff when we're trying to get projects done. They have to find another way to implement security that does not make the user feel overwhelmed yet it is efficient enough to keep hackers out.

Google Workspace - Must Have Productivity and Collaboration Tools

Our team has used Google Workspace for years and absolutely love how easy it makes collaborating together and with external partners.

Pros

Google Workspace is easy to set up for your whole team and provides essential collaborative tools all in-one place. With email, file sharing, documents, spreadsheets, slides, forms and much more this platform is our must have for getting things done.

Cons

I wish google drive space had more filtering options for organizing and accessing files. This drawback can occasionally make it difficult to quickly find a file if you don't have a clearly established folder hierarchy in place.

Hassle free comes at a cost, and a couple of gotchas.

Overall experience is positive, but the second I get a similar eco-system elsewhere for cheaper, I wouldn't hesitate much.

Pros

The ecoysystem. Everything just works. I have had issues with OneDrive randomly ending file access and team members complaining that the file isn't accessible, however this is not the case with Workspace. It comes with quite a lot of features out of the box to help you run your business, and on top of which, if you are savvy enough with scripting, you can almost run basic, non-TOS breaking transactional emails (think reminders, alerts etc).

Cons

I think it is quite expensive for the price. A major negative is that Google neglects their Workspace customers and gives them a degrading experience if you own Google devices. Many features aren't compatible as opposed to having a regular gmail account and they still haven't addressed this despite being a user for over 12 years.

Google Workspace is the only space you need to work

There is an initial steep learning curve, but like anything else, practice makes progress. You will eventually get it down and everything becomes a lot more clear and easy to manage.

Google has a ton of detailed but succinct documentation available online that walks you through everything step by step. If this is not enough to help you, Google Admin's built in customer support is always available and very helpful. Whenever I have had to reach out to them, I'm usually being helped by a support agent within 5 minutes either via live chat or on the phone. They always resolve my issues and are very good about reaching back out to you if necessary or if communication get interrupted. Google Workspace is a tool I use every single day at work.

Pros

I really love how Google workspace has an application solution for everything. Google Docs, sheets, slides, etc. They have everything from email with Gmail, remote video teleconferencing with Google Meet, or endless cloud storage with Google Drive, they really have everything and do it well.

Cons

The GUI or user interface with Google Admin and Google Workspace can be a little daunting at first. There are so many sections and submenus, you won't turn every dial to accomplish what you need, but they definitely have a knob for everything.

Reliable workhorse products

In all, it's positive; I rely on these tools every day for writing, project management, collaboration and creativity.

Pros

The inbox is relatively intuitive and can be adapted to fit your brand/web domain; it's Gmail with your professional branding. You also get Drive, Meet, Google Docs and a few other apps.

I rely on Google Calendar to stay organized with client meetings, conference calls, appointments, etc. Although I use a Mac, it generally integrates well with my computer and software. The automated tools are helpful; the calendar invite system is fairly easy to use.

Google Docs are better, in my opinion, than the competitor products because they're so intuitive and it's easy to invite collaborators.

Cons

Some of the admin dashboards are less intuitive and hide key account settings. I often have to search 'how do I change X setting in Google Workspace?" because it's not readily apparent in the console.

Efficient and Collaborative: Ideal for Both Large Teams and Solo Users

Overall, Google Workspace has been a powerful, streamlined tool that supports efficient workflows for both large teams and solo operations. In a corporate environment, it fosters easy collaboration across teams and geographies.

As a solo founder, it’s a one-stop shop for handling emails, documents, and video meetings—saving time by keeping everything centralised. While some features could improve, like better handling of large data files or more flexible design options, Google Workspace remains versatile and reliable.

Pros

Firstly from the perspective of working in a large international corporate, what stands out the most is its real-time collaboration tools, especially Google Docs and Google Sheets, which allow multiple users to edit simultaneously with visible, instant updates. In a large corporate setting, this eliminates the need for extensive email chains and enables team comments and tagging, making feedback cycles much quicker. Additionally, Google Drive’s shared drives simplify file organisation across departments, allowing easy access control for large teams. I also appreciate Google Calendar's ease of use, particularly when managing multiple diaries with stakeholders overseas - the ability to quickly adjust meetings to suit different timezones is invaluable. Google Keep has also been extremely useful in managing to-do lists for multiple clients.

Also as a solo founder, Gmail’s integration with Google Calendar is invaluable, with features like smart scheduling, email reminders, and access to Google Meet. This makes it easy to manage everything in one ecosystem, keeping tasks organised without needing multiple platforms.

Cons

Oftentimes, Google Sheets can slow down with large datasets, especially compared to more robust data tools like Excel, making it challenging for teams handling heavy data. Some limitations in offline functionality can also be frustrating, as it requires reliable internet to maximise productivity.

For a solo user, the cost can feel high for just one person, especially if only basic tools are used. There’s also a limited range of design customisation in Google Slides, which can sometimes be restrictive for branding needs.

Google Workspace experience from a daily user.

Overall my experience with Google Workspace has been a very positive one, and I wouldn't hestitate reccomending to others. The tools Google Workspace provides has improved my indiviual and team productivity and we will continue using this product in the future.

Pros

For me the highlight of Google Workspace is having everything in one place - email, calendar, meetings, docs, and sheets I all use on a daily basis and it's very helpful to have them all in one place.

Cons

Only major con is that the formatting of microsoft documents is not always so smooth and can cause small issues when dealing with external clients. Apart from that, I think it would be nice to improve on the chat feature to add one more central function to Google Workspace.

Increased productivity
Easy to integrate
A natural and essential part of my day-to-day.

Pros

The intuitive design is fresh, user-friendly, and incredibly efficient.

Great but could be better

Overall I really like it. It's my go-to for pretty much everything work-related. I love how seamlessly everything connects. Going between emails, Docs, Meetings, and the rest is so smooth. It rally helps our productivity, especially when collaborating with others. The real-time teamwork features are great and being able to access everything from anywhere is super convenient.

As mentioned it has a few quirks, like occasional offline syncing issues and maybe a slightly too simple design at times. But overall, Google Workspace is a winner in my book. It just makes work easier and more efficient.

Pros

I like how smoothly all the apps work together. It makes juggling emails, documents, meetings, and everything else a breeze. The real-time collaboration is a game-changer for our team.

Cons

Honestly, I can't fault it overall, but if I had to pick something that bugs me, it's probably the hiccups with offline access. Sometimes, when I'm working offline, things don't sync perfectly, or I can't access all the features I need. It's not a dealbreaker, but its definitely frustrating when it happens.

Also, while I like the clean and simple design of the apps, sometimes I find them a bit too basic. I occasionally miss some of the more advanced features and customization options you get with other suites.
