### "Decades In and Still Good" — 4.0/5

> **Essence** | *23 March 2026* | Education Management | Recommendation rating: 8.0/10
>
> **Pros**: It is my go to writing software where I have literally written a dissertation with Word, accomplishing so much
>
> **Cons**: I don't really have much to compare to as iOS version kinda sucks. I like the collaboration potential with Google Docs more

### "MS Word--still the king." — 5.0/5

> **Jonathan** | *11 March 2026* | Aviation & Aerospace | Recommendation rating: 9.0/10
>
> **Pros**: One day in mid-1993 my boss walked into my office and plopped an Intel 286 desktop computer on my desk, complete with a monochrome monitor about the size of VW bug and told me "Figure it out". Thus started my journey into the wonderful world of desktop productivity software. The first word processing program that come with the computer was WordPerfect, complete with the goofy little paper template that fit over the Function keys on the top of the keyboard (anyone else remember those?). The entire office shared a huge dot matrix printer that used fanfold paper that for some reason was about 18" wide and only came in green and white stripes. Anyway, time went on and Microsoft started overtaking the world of large business and government. I've seen pretty much every iteration of their products from MS-DOS up to Windows 11 and all the MS Office products that came with them. I've dabbled a bit with some of the other products out there like Google Docs, but its hard to beat MS Word--it's just damn good at what it does. Powerful, flexible and capable of doing anything from dashing off a single-page letter to writing a thousand-page research paper, complete with footnotes, index and appendix. The help function has come a long way from where it was--it's actually helpful if you really get stuck on some problem. Bottom line--if your word processing requirements go beyond simple letters and holiday recipes, MS Word is the way to go.
>
> **Cons**: Not gonna lie, you're going to have to pay for the power of this program. Yes, there are free programs out there that will do the job for a lot of people, but for businesses and professionals that need the functionality and increased performance that MSWord brings to the table, you're going to have to go with the pros.
>
> Bottom line is that I'm a big fan of MS Word. I've used it for years at work to do everything from single page memos to lengthy safety reports with footnotes, citations and hyperlinks to various websites. Word has never let me down, and I know that it has barely broken a sweat--there's a lot more it can do.

### "Awesome word-processing tools with countless features\!" — 5.0/5

> **Verified Reviewer** | *11 January 2026* | Information Technology & Services | Recommendation rating: 8.0/10
>
> **Pros**: Microsoft Word is extremely reliable and easy to use. The interface is very intuitive and has powerful took include styles, reference, and other collaboration tools. One of my favorite tools is the ability to draw and write on the page, which is great for personalization in diagrams. Furthermore you can easily integration it with other Microsoft tools. There is also AI integrations and other review tools which can be useful to proof read.
>
> **Cons**: I dislike the limitation in the table feature as well as I find the formatting, especially with the margins a little harder to navigate. The dark mode is also inconvenient with using a stylus to draw on the document. The subscription- based pricing also may not be necessary for basic document editing and you can find same features on free platforms.
>
> Compared to other similar sites Word does over more features and higher integrations. It supports efficient workflows collaboration (including division of tasks) and documentation. At first their is a learning curve for the more advanced features and the slight drawbacks, it still is a great word processing tools for multiple processes.

### "Word is great" — 5.0/5

> **Verified Reviewer** | *25 March 2026* | Retail | Recommendation rating: 10.0/10
>
> **Pros**: The app is easy to use with a very intuitive user interface, which speeds up both the process and work flow.
>
> **Cons**: What I find the app lacks is a convenient ascii code reference. This can be frustrating for codes not often used.
>
> Word is great to use and extremely helpful. It has a wide variety of formatting options to make any document look professional.
