> CryptoSpike is a data protection solution that continuously monitors all file access transactions across your data center’s storage, using behavioral analysis to automatically block ransomware attacks in real time. In the event of a ransomware attack, the administrator will receive a notification about the amount, as well as the paths, of the affected files. He can check on the last transactions and in case of a genuine attack, the executed malware and transactions can be analyzed. There is a blocklist provided by ProLion with more than 5,000 known ransomware file extensions or file names. The list is automatically updated with new entries every 24 hours. The granular restore function allows you to restore affected files immediately as soon as the attack is contained. 

The server packages come pre-configured as a virtual machine for easy deployment on widely used hypervisors. Installation typically takes no longer than 3-5 hours. Using the intuitive CryptoSpike UI, tasks such as setup, configuration management, and the establishment of rules and threshold values can be done in an easy manner.

CryptoSpike presently provides support for NetApp (FAS/AFF \& virtual ONTAP), Lenovo DM-Series, Dell PowerScale, and Dell Unity, with Dell PowerStore support coming up starting Version 3.3.
