About ManageEngine Remote Access Plus

Remote Access Plus is an enterprise remote support and desktop software that enables IT technicians to troubleshoot their managed computers, situated anywhere around the world, from a central location in a coherent manner. Advanced Remote Control, voice, video, and text chat enable technicians to understand and resolve issues faster, in turn reducing the average turnaround time. In addition, multiple users can collaborate to view a particular target computer's desktop and solve issues. Even if a technician is away from their desk, they can effortlessly manage computers using the Remote Access Plus mobile app. The smart remote shutdown helps in conserving power by switching off inactive computers that are running. Audit-ready reports of various metrics help technicians to get more visibility on the status of deployed tasks. The System Manager tools, such as, Remote Command Prompt, Remote Registry, and Remote File Transfer ease the process of accessing and managing a target computer's services. Users can choose between Remote Access Plus on-premise and cloud solution, catered to handle the requirements based on the organization type. Furthermore, it's available in three editions- Free, Standard and Professional. If you are a small startup and have 10 or fewer computers to manage, then the Free edition is for you. While the Enterprise edition includes all the features, the Standard edition includes only the basic ones. Remote Access Plus supports all three major flavors of operating systems- Windows, Mac and Linux.

Remote Access Plus the solution that makes IT support easier

My experience implementing Remote Access has been the best since it is a tool with various options and easy to implement. The best thing is that it allows you to record all support sessions and it helps a lot as evidence.

Pros

The ease of use and the number of available modules it has to be able to provide correct remote support.

Cons

What I liked least was that it doesn't have as many reports on the available machines.

ManageEngine hits a home run!

From the moment I began using Remote Access Plus, it was clear that ManageEngine designed the setup process with simplicity in mind. The initial configuration was intuitive, requiring only a few steps to get the server up and running. What stands out is how straightforward it was to deploy to client machines. Whether you’re pushing the installation across a small number of endpoints or an entire enterprise, the process is smooth and remarkably fast. Within minutes, Remote Access Plus was functioning on multiple machines, without any need for manual intervention or complex configuration.

One of the platform’s most beneficial features is its granular control over user roles. Setting up permissions for various IT roles is a breeze. Administrators can easily assign specific permissions based on responsibilities, which ensures that technicians only have access to the tools they need, enhancing both security and productivity. The user interface is well-organized, which makes configuring these roles quick and efficient.

Remote Access Plus offers a powerful suite of management tools that allows IT technicians to take full control of remote systems. From its dashboard, you can monitor system health, resolve issues, and execute maintenance tasks. The availability of a command line interface (CLI) within the platform is particularly useful for advanced troubleshooting, allowing technicians to execute commands on remote machines without needing to be physically present. Manage Engine Remote Access Plus - Great value for money

The remote access plus product has been the winning choice for the business

Pros

This is a fantastic cloud based remote access tool that is very good value for money. As many other Manage Engine products, the product excels at what it does, and it is quite comprehensive for the price paid.

Cons

So far, I would like to see this integrate with Service Desk Plus Cloud, which is not currently possible.

Good

We are a small team, Due to the covid pandemic all of sudden govt has announced lockdown, I tried different software but within 3 to 5 hours. I'm able to set up an 8 artist system with cloud sync.

Infrastructure advisor

From the very beginning, the installation and setup process is highly intuitive. During the testing phase, we submitted numerous requests, which ManageEngine accepted and added to their development roadmap. Configuring role-based permissions is relatively simple, and using additional tools significantly streamlines the work of IT technicians. The support from ManageEngine is simply excellent. Installing agents on end-user devices is fairly straightforward. I would appreciate having more information in the logs, but even with the current setup, it is still very manageable.

Very easy to use. Support from ManageEngine. Helps and speeds up assistance for end users.

Cons

It happened that the link from the application to the manufacturer's website did not exist. The groups functioned slightly differently than I needed.

ManageEngine Remote Access Plus is worth it!

Overall very pleased so far, I've used ManageEngine products at my place of work so was already familiar with it. I love that it works from the get go, I've tried other software for remote and they always seem to have glitches or so many hurdles to jump to make it work right. It was pretty much install approve and your done.

Pros

I love the ability to easily manage your domain and computers in one spot online in the cloud via secure connection. Also, have already tried the IOS app on phone and worked perfect which i can't say about other remote assist apps.

Cons

This is more me not reading instructions but I didn't realize you had to approve new connections. So not really a con but it stopped me from seeing new computers till i approved. So actually a plus. One con at least to me is the moment you sign up for anything manageengine you get nonstop emails saying hey you haven't tried this yet. I do like the support but to me it feels more like spam in my inbox. Just let me test.

Great product at affordable price

Manage engine remote access plus is a great product and easy to use, the powerful tools like file manager, task manager, ability to start or stop services without remoting into machine is absolutely game changer for me, I would continue using this product as support is amazing even for free editions

This Software is a Must for big companys or multinational companies.

I have been using the system for some months now, and I can say that it's perfect for IT departments because it allows to see if a device is working and connected to the net, which user is using the device and give u the posibility to connect and do any configuration or check taht you need without leaving your seat.

Pros

It give me the posibility to connect with elevated permissions to the company's user's devices to manage configurations. install and uninstall software, and even switch between users on the same device.

Cons

When loggin out of a session, the system takes a few minutes before allowing me to log back into the same device. It alsi takes a long time todetect a device that has just been turned on.

I use ManageEngine Remote Access Plus to provide support to the users in my job.

Pros

What I most like about ManageEngine Remote Access Plus 10 is the easy to use interface and its features like file transfer and screen recorder, above all the multi-monitor support feature. Also, it provides detailed reports on active remote sessions and tasks performed.

Cons

Configuring the ports required for agent-server communication can be complex. In addition, the effectiveness of remote access can be affected by network quality, which can cause delays or interruptions in the connection. Although the interface is simplified, it may require some adaptation time for new users who are not familiar with this type of tool.

Easy and simple setup, and troubleshoot options for System engineers and support analyst. Works on different OS versions and with low bandwidth requirement.
Auto-reconnect and smooth unattended access.
remote share or screenshare options, with file transfer feature.

Very Good Software

Pros

I like the agent integration with Active Directory to easy deployment via GPO. I like the web interface, and I especially like the performance and features of the tool.

Cons

My only request is to have a desktop client. The web interface is great, but a desktop client would be really nice.

Decent product

Over all this has been a pleasant experience and easy to use this tool to remote and support our faculty and staff from all over campus and at home.

Pros

I enjoyed how easy it was to set up and how it was quick to deploy and start a remote session with a user.

It can be a bit hard to learn for someone who is not tech survey. If you have more than 10 computers, you need to get a paid version.

We are logistics company and we have our own inhouse ERP for inventory.As a inventory manager i have to take remote access of user's system frequently to resolve ERP related issues.Manageengine remote access plus is helping me to resolve user's issue by taking remote access of his system. Great Tools for the money paid

Good value for the cost.
Not as great as some tools but the price tag for what we need is better.
Once you get over a small learning curve it works well.

Pros

Lightweight agent that allows you to connect to machines connected to the internet.
Nice Graphical Interface to see machines online and connect remotely.

Cons

Agent requires a code for each instance so makes it more difficult to deploy out to devices (or we didnt find the option to do so easily).
Unless you bookmark the exact link to the remote management page, it is very difficult to find on the main website.

Remote Access Plus is a very good app for many remote functions.

We have a remote/virtual office. This allows me to deploy computers and join them to a Windows domain without the need for physical hands on configuration.

Pros

I like that the user workstation can migrate to other environments and remote access is still available.

Great Management and Remote Support without breaking the budget for small business

Pros

We enjoy the ease of use and access. Logging into the control panel is so easy and takes seconds. This allows us to quickly handle IT issues within seconds rather than minutes using other alternatives.

Cons

I don't have many cons to state. I believe that if I had a gripe about anything, it would be the lack of UI control. However, that would likely be more or less my own personal desire and not a needed feature.

A normal remote support tool

Pros

I used this tool to provide remote assistance to our users who were facing issues with software and hardware. It's secure and we can send/receive documents. We can also add devices to our favorites and stop/resume and transition between different sessions without any issues.

Cons

compared to other remote tools, ManageEngine is doing a great job and it has more features with 0 cons.

Literally used the free trial for 30min and then signed up for the pro subscription. its so easy to use beets the pants of teamviwer

ManageEngine Remote Access Plus

Pros

The reason for selecting this software was its HIPAA compliance, which is met for this remote desktop manager. A classic tool for managing, connecting devices and troubleshooting. I like the live chat and video option for quick problem management. Cloud deployment without issue, we did not use the on premise solution. Communication with the client without any problems. Ensuring constant monitoring of applications, processes and services. Another advantage for me is the very friendly price. Installation of the small agent is easy and also very fast.

Cons

Sometimes the connection session takes longer, but nothing dramatic. I am happy with the software and have nothing to complain about.

Ease of use is superb!

Pros

I like that client side installation is a breeze. There is no need for configuration on the client end. I also like that approval is required before a computer becomes part of the list.

Good product, but a bit deceptive about the free-level licensing

I was happy until I realized it really wouldn't work for a small implementation solution. Now I'll be looking for an alternative.

Pros

Pretty easy agent install. Lots of flexibility. The functionality is good for a web-based front-end tool, and I like the multi-monitor support.

Cons

The key to the product is in its title. Remote Access. However, if I can't access an agent system unless it's behind a distribution server (what they call roaming), it very much limits its utility for a small environment with a few systems to access, each on different networks.
I'd rather do without some of the extended features... But that's the trick to get you to upgrade. The most basic function won't work on roaming systems unless you are paying for the highest edition...

Lo mas interesante encontrado en la herramienta es que fue fácil la configuración y es muy completa para dar asistencia remota a usuarios.

Cons

Lo menos agradable de la herramienta es que depende de un servidor dentro de la localidad no funciona en la nube. También el agente de la misma solo funciona a nivel local en la red.
