Everything you need, and several features you didn't know you wanted

Backups exactly the way I want them every single time

Pros

This software has literally everything you can ask for in a backup program. The fact that I can choose exactly where, when, how, etc I want to back things up is incredible. You aren't just stuck choosing to backup a local backup, but you have the options of backing up from FTP, disk cloning, esxi, hyper-v, Microsoft Exchange, and specifically tailored options for backing up an SQL server, or oracle systems.

As far as destinations go, you can backup to the cloud, through ftp, a tape backup, a local disk or external drive with zero limitations.

Scheduling can be as detailed as you want but what really makes this program shine in my eyes are the options you get for how to handle backups. (Advanced options)

You can exclude or include system files with the click of a single button, you can easily change how detailed the logs are and very specific event triggers to notify you when something goes wrong, or even when it doesn't. It has file compression, incremental backups, you can choose file revision history, incremental backups, full backups, and even have the program start another program as soon as a backup ends or right before it starts.

It uses hardly any system resources even if left running 24/7 for real time backups.

If there is an error the logs are very specific allowing you to tell exactly what file caused an issue or what errors the program encountered. This is extremely helpful to me allowing me to backup exactly what was missed due to errors

Cons

For a new user not versed in how to use the software it can absolutely be a daunting experience. The options and choices for how to do things can easily confuse someone not familiar with the program layout or how to navigate the software as there is such a huge selection of options to select from.

Iperius works well and great pricing

We needed a reliable inexpensive backup solution to fit many scenarios and Iperius fits that very well. We backup data, VMs, full hard drives, I've restored VMs in a matter of hours, restored individual databases in minutes, its great software, and the free version works for most needs but we use paid for VMs. Support has always been responsive

Pros

We use Iperius for daily backups of all out data, both full daily drive backups and VMs with full then incremental. We backup to a NAS which Iperius does without any issues. i get daily emails and good logs of the backups to easily troubleshoot any issues

Cons

The scheduler defaults do not work for use, but its easily adjusted

nothing to say

Pros

I like this software because is easy to use and set up, backup are fast enough and it has the features I need.

Cons

IT support is really bad!!! They never solve my issues. The answers are never relevant and the new online ticketing is concentrated to close the ticket and not to solve the issues. It' not good!!! Very bad!!!

Response from Enter

First of all, thank you for being a valued customer. Iperius provide to all customers Free support and Free updates and we are very sorry to read that your experience with our Support Service was so bad, recently we have introduced a new ticketing system for providing a better customers service and this system is partially automatic, It means that if we don't receive a reply from the customer within 72 hours, the system considers the ticket automatically closed. We're really sorry if you had a disservice for that but otherwise would be very hard to manage many thousands of customers in all of the world with support tickets opened and never closed, for delay often not depending to us. We hope that you can give us another chance and reconsider your opinion on our Customer Service. Thank you.

Our backup tool of choice

Iperius backup has always been our go-to tool to get simple A-to-B backup(scheduled) achieved, reliably!

Pros

Great tool that has just enough functionality but not too much so as to be over-complicated for the goal to be achieved

Cons

There is nothing that sticks out, perhaps the unique pc code during installation, just a minor extra step when it comes to deploying... "could" be time consuming if deploying on a few machines at a time.

Pros

The ability to mirror system drives to quickly recover when the OS or HW stops functioning. Do not have to reinstall software, licensing, drivers, etc. Days of reconstruction become hours.

Great Low Cost Backup for VMware

Very happy with the multitude of backup types in the full license.

Pros

Love the ability to backup vmware multiple ways with multiple destinations. The price cannot be beat, and it really is a fast nightly backup when you use changed block tracking. I have used several other much more expensive products, and after trying Iperius in multiple environments, there really is no comparison, Iperius outperforms them all when a cost vs. performance ratio is analyzed.

Cons

If I had to choose a small negative about the software, I would say the English translation could be improved a bit, I have found some grammatical errors. Many versions ago this led to some difficulty configuring, but they seem to be improving in many areas with every new version.

Better alternatives out there; Lack of ioSafe compatibility was the final straw.

Several test installations for backups were put in place while our team was testing for a potential new backup software. 2 of them, after a few weeks, had somehow not backed anything up and there was no indication as to why. Integrates with Backblaze B2, but majority of our servers are configured with an ioSafe, so it ultimately didn't meet our requirements. It might be a decent piece of software for simpler backup solutions.

Pros

It was quick to integrate and has a simplistic UI.

Cons

No ioSafe integration, so half of our server backups were unusable. General setup could have been more intuitive.

Great product, been using for years!

Overall its a great product and has worked flawlessly for me and my customers for years. I think I started using your backup 5 or 6 years ago. I've installed on 75 computer systems for myself and my customers. Love the product.

Pros

I like the type of backups available, I mostly use the hard drive image and backup to FTP server. I've used your boot disk to recover multiple systems where hard drives have crashed, via the drive image/clone backup. Worked great. Also like that it can run a service, just have to make sure that you setup to run as administrator. There are just many great features incorporated into your software.

Cons

The one thing that really gets to be a pain, is if you insert a thumb drive or any other device that changes the disk layout. All scheduled backups fail during the list disk part of the backup, cause the disk layout has changed. Even though the drive letters remain the same. Would be great if you could solve that problem. Thats the only con that I have at this time..

Iperius Backup - little know gem of a product

Overall we select this product as our "go to" backup application for new clients.

Pros

Iperius is a very cost effective solution. It is the only backup solution we offer clients now.

Cons

Backing up Exchange server VMs is more complicated than it should be.

finalmente un software semplice da usare ma completo

Overall I was impressed with its potential

Pros

it's easy to use and above all it's in Italian, what I needed was to save hyper-v virtual machines in a simple way and Iperius does it.

Cons

You cannot perform an incremental backup of a Hyper-V virtual machine unless you boot from the machine itself.

Backups with Iperius

Very good, for many years I have been using it as the only software to make security copies for our clients both on Servers and with Computers.

Pros

the ease of configuration and a good technical service behind

Cons

Yes, it fulfills and covers all my expectations

Alternatives Considered

Acronis Cyber Backup

Reasons for Choosing Iperius Backup

The previous software did not meet my expectations and there were no updates.

Reasons for Switching to Iperius Backup

Because of the ease of use and the technical service of Iperius which is very fast and always responds. I use the option to throw custom scripts a lot to get the copies the way I want them both before and after the copy.

Very good for ESXI backup

It works as described and with the scheduling I can just leave it to get on with it.

Pros

That it backs up a number of different sources from ESXI/SQL/Exchange 365

Cons

The backups could be a bit faster especially exchange 365

Three Servers still not backup up after 6 (six) weeks.

Pathetic. Have sent in logs multiple times, have sent information from VSS Doctor, but no one can identify a solution. Are my Microsoft Servers all that different than all the others throughout the world?

Pros

I cannot get it to work on three Microsoft Servers. I cannot get a solution from Support, I elected to pay for support and still get no results. Now get an email that says they are closing my ticket.

Cons

Send issue in email and only one of the issues are addressed, like the techs do not read the entire email.

Response from Enter

I’m sorry to hear about your experience. While your ticket was automatically closed, I want to assure you that our technical team has continued working on your case to fully understand the situation and provide a solution.

Our backup features perform reliably for most customers, but we recognize that unique system environments can occasionally lead to unexpected issues. If you’d like to continue troubleshooting, we’re more than happy to assist further. Alternatively, if you prefer, we’re ready to process a refund.

Ideal backup solution for small and medium business

All good. Customer support is really good.

Pros

Cust. support, Simple and easy navigation interface, No recurring charges

Cons

Nothing to say infact. May be iperius cloud charges are on the higher side compared to google one. If a more flexible package is available, people may opt for it more.

Response from Enter

Thank you for your positive feedback! We’re glad you find our solution ideal and appreciate your kind words about our customer support and interface. Your suggestion about flexible cloud packages is valuable, and we’ll take it into consideration.
