Best decision ever!

It has been great. Great backoffice, great sistem. Running multiple Raspberry Pi's for almost two years, not even one went offline.

Pros

Everything! This is probably, the one of the best decisions I have made for our company.

Cons

So far, we would like to have other options than just "loop" entire videos, like, we would like to have the option for the timestamp get the exact same time as the imported video and only if we increase that time of the block, the will then loop.

High value solution

I have used this product for over 5 years now and it continues to work, grow with features and delivery. Very satisfied.

Pros

Global aware front to back makes managing simple and anxiety free. Local time, local events and calendar but manageable centrally with the same useable content is unique and simple.

Cons

Less an issue with Yodeck, but if the TV/display has been locally turned off or changed to different input, the dashboard is not aware and will report what the player is playing even though it is not visible on the display. Only way around that is to also control the display with RS232 which tends to be more expensive solution.

Horrible, complete waste of time and money - Do Not Purchase!

I had a horrible experience and would advise everyone to avoid Yodeck. I was told that the basic player would meet our needs, but it didn't and kept glitching (the screen would freeze and shut off repeatedly). The tech team said the only solution was to upgrade my player, so I did and then had to wait over a month for it to arrive. It finally arrived and didn't connect. The tech team had me jump through hoops and try several methods to fix it (none of them simple) over the course of 2 weeks but nothing worked, and they kept insisting that our network was the issue. But the first player had no issues connecting to our network so it was clearly not our network, it was their faulty player. Now they refuse to issue a refund for the player and annual subscription.

Pros

Nothing, I chose it because it was cheaper than the other options but I should have just paid more for a different company in the first place to avoid wasting so much time.

Cons

Complete waste of time and money, was not the simple solution they promised.

In a league of its own!

Everything overall has been phenomenal. From the initial ability to trial the service for free, to ordering and then implementation. Yodeck is one of the best overall solutions for a problem faced in the workplace that I have ever personally dealt with.

Pros

The ease of use and how intuitive the user interface is. Overall this product goes above and beyond in ensuring a positive user experience is had.

Cons

None, especially after coming from trialing other solutions that did not hit the mark. Yodeck was exactly what was needed for our situation.

One of the best!

Pros

Yodeck is one of the best digital signage platforms i've used. I've tried some of the other top brands and none of them come close to Yodeck. The software is very easy to use and it's highly customizable. The amount of options you have to customize your dashboard is outstanding. I've reached out to customer support countless times and they've always been very responsive and helpful.

Cons

The amount of options and customizations can be overwhelming for some. Not all sites are supported. Not all devices are supported, which was very frustrating to me, but it seems to work best on the latest Raspbery Pi.

Yodeck is a cheap and easy way to manage digital signage across multiple locations

Overall a very good experience. Ease of use allows multiple people in the organization to work with it, and removes the requirement for IT to maintain the info screens.

Pros

The ease of buying a unit and have it pre-programmed on arrival. It eases the setup and allows non-technical personal to setup it all up.

Cons

The feature and pricing structure changes.

10/10 Would Recommend

Our company uses Yodek to customize the display in our reception area. We create images and videos to welcome guests & clients, make announcements, even celebrate employee birthdays, and show them all on our smart TV using Yodek. The versatility is fantastic!

Great Product! Works well and their own Yodeck devices are a great price!

Of all the plans I’ve tried, I like this one the most. Doesn’t limit the free one screen any, and I’ve been able to really experiment and play around with it to make sure it’s a truly good fit for our tiny studio.

Pros

Great product, easy to use. It took a few days to understand the way everything worked together as far as scheduling, default content, etc. but any questions I have are answered quickly and effectively.

Cons

No iOS app. I’d love to convert my iPads to Yodeck screens as well.

High usability and reasonable in price

With Yodeck I am now able to show important data like Appointments, Driving duration (per Power Automate as Teams News), PowerBI-Reports and other Data on one Screen. I do not have to follow links and look for the Data, once setup it works. Also during visiting hours the screens show other data so that my customers don't see internals. Thats a really great helper for myself and also my wife who also sees her appointments on screen(my workplace is at home). Would recommend and will do.

Pros

What I like best about Yodeck is the uncomplicated registration/login, especially with Microsoft 365. Screens, Playlists and Apps are good to set up, connections to Microsoft works and you get what you see. Implementing Business Apps like Sharepoint News is a great feature for longer news where you can go to the full Newssite by QR-code, for short news Teams Integration works really well. Even with Images and Videos. With this Features and without the need for multiple User Accounts to Setup Screens one Admin is able to set up for different Teams and they can themself put Data to the Screens (and delete them) as often as they please. Until now there was no need to contact Customer Support. And all this for an unbeatable price in relation to other competitors.

Cons

Unfortunately not everything regarding Microsoft 365 is implemented yet. The biggest "problem" is, there is no Implementation of OneDrive Folders for easy display of Images or PDFs (but you can work around this with Sharepoint News or Teams News, but this needs a bit more user interaction). Also there is no support for AppleTV/iOS, this would bring the possibilities to share over different existing teams and setups to a higher level.

Simple Set Up and Access to All Main Features for Free (Single Screen).

Having tried several of the competitors that have apps for Amazon Fire Sticks, this one had all the features I wanted, allowed full and free use to try things out with a single screen and generally made my life easier than the competitors I explored.

Pros

It's easy to use. The free options give full features for a single screen, the prices for adding extra screens are reasonable too. The solution works flawlessly using the Yodeck app on an Amazon Fire Stick, which means no special equipment is needed ... as long as you have a Wifi connection available.

If you pay for a year at a time, Yodeck even give you a free Raspberry Pi player.

So far, I've only pointed Yodeck at webpages which I maintain and fed it still images, but it can also handle video, audio and other sources if you opt for a the premium or enterprise plan.

I've only used the free and basic plans. Yodeck and other providers have fuller featured options, but the extra options came with complexity and expense and in my case simply weren't needed.

Cons

I had previously used a Raspberry Pi as one of my Yodeck players, which worked perfectly once set up, but the initial set up was fiddly. The process may have improved since then, however.

Access to the main features without payment allowed easy testing. And as we could use already available equipment, a Fire Stick, we could get started at zero cost. Pricing was a major factor as we're using it as part of a not-for-profit event. YoDeck has been a life saver.

In two years we grew from just having 2 devices, today we have 20 and we see even more opportunities to continue to grow the use. We recently began adding calendars for the conference rooms and we could do that with YoDeck as well. I much prefer a single platform for all of these, rather than 1 for conference room calendars and another for Dashboards, etc.

Pros

YoDeck is both affordable and easy to use. setting up additional uses and limiting their access is easy. I have delegated the content of most screens to the office staff and they love it. A plus, is by making it easy to update, we are much more likely to have current and relevant information on the screens. Additionally, we build custom webpages - only hosted internally, but YoDeck has no problems accessing them.

Cons

I find it can be a little finicky about updating when it only has a single slide. It seems to just cache the page and not refresh with new data. An easy fix is simply to have a placeholder slide (sometimes we use the weather app) and cycle between the two.

Great product with more features than most organizations will need

The onboarding was simple. A rep walked us through the process. The hardware came ready to use. The only thing left for the end user is to manage content. We load our announcement slides and set the date each one will expire, assign the slides to the desired monitors, and let Yodeck do all the work. We even use a severe weather alert feed because our area has experienced several catastrophic weather events.

Pros

Yodeck does everything we need (and more) than a service we had before for price that is affordable for any size organization. The service expands as your organization expands its implementation. We had another very similar service that increased their fee to $2500/year for two unique digital sign outputs. We have expanded the number of digital signs for a fraction of the cost.

Cons

In our church, we use the live video feed capability and there is a 1-2 second delay. In many situations the delay would be imperceivable but since our worship center and our atrium (where we use the live video fee) are adjacent, the delay is noticeable. We can live with it, but I wish there was less delay. This probably will not be an issue for most users who do not need to send a live video/audio signal through Yodeck from a production control room.

Easy to use. Lots of Funtionality and Integrations.

We have been very happy using yodeck. it suits our needs and is constantly getting new features that have made it only better over time. I recommend it to anyone who asks me about digital signage.

Lots of functionality and Integration. I have been using Yodeck for several years now and have found it to be cleanly set up and intuitive. They also keep brining updtaes to the sytem which is great to have. Some of my favorite features are the apps.

Cons

When there is an error uploading new content to the screen it doesnt explain what went wrong it just says it didnt work. i then need to try to figure it out with trila and error. i wish it would be clearer what the issue was. It happens rarley though.

I love Yodeck

I work in IT, and using Yodeck was a very simple and easy learning process. I found it very well designed and programmed, providing immediate results once content was pre-scheduled and pushed to screens.

Pros

The ability to schedule diverse content type for students, during classroom times, at my former high school.

Having the option to push content at prescheduled times, and being able to select and define screen location and section size, they are all really convenient features from Yodeck.

Cons

I sort of wish the cost would be a bit more affordable for Education institutions. I am using Yodeck on my former High School, and they have limited funds to cover more than a single screen at the moment. They will be going Premium by end of year.

Powerful and easy to use Digital Signage Solution

Since we've inducted Yodeck as the Digital Signage solution for our organization, it has been so easy to manage the content on our digital screens. The interface is very user friendly and there are plenty of Apps to which one can integrate and project powerful Signage for customers and their staff. The one big thing about Yodeck is that its got tons of feature to satisfy everyone's need.

Yodeck for our Working Showroom

Pros

We have a total of 7 Yodecks in our working design showroom, and these have been an absolute game changer for our space. Each TV we have specific content playing based on the story we want to tell, and Yodeck does this seamelesly with their intuitive content management system. Another reason we purchased Yodecks for our space was because I work remotely and I create all marketing communication material for our space. I am able to remotely change the screens within minutes, all while I'm hundreds of miles away! I appreciate the ease of use of the website and the set up of the device was so simple to plugin, download, and play the content instantly. I highly recommend you use Yodeck for your workspace.

Cons

I do wish the Yodeck would tell you if the TV is turned off, because sometimes our TVs turn off without notice, or they randomly switch to a different HDMI. It would be nice if Yodeck would give a warning if the TV was switched to something else so that I can control it remotely.

Cons

There isn't something that i like least. I think that yodeck has everything that a digital signage wants.I wish in the future to create an mobile app that the admin could have access to yodeck platform and make the changes that he wants.

Great addition for an AirBNB Host

It has been well received by guests, and I plan on continue to add them to all of my AirBNB listings.

Pros

The ease of use and the ability to remotely manage it. And it also notifies me if the internet connection goes down. Really handy for a device that is 1/2 way around the world from where I manage if from.

Cons

The only issue I have ever had with a Yodeck device I caused myself. I shut down one and re-used the SIM card in new hardware. And it would not come back online without a 2nd person to read the display to so that I could tie the new hardware to the old SD Card. And regain remote control/access.

Powerful and Seamless Digital Signage

Great and seamless, just works and haven't had to worry about it not working.

Pros

It's easy of use and integration with multiple services seamlessly. I was able to integrate 7 different google calendars, and it shows them all in one feed.

Its scheduling function also allows me to schedule a live video from youtube to play and it has no lag or issue playing it.

Cons

While it's drag and drop builder is great and better than most I have tried, for the most part it does require you to upload your own graphics instead of being able to build them in the drag and drop builder.

Automate Your Promotion With Yodeck.

My overall experience with Yodeck has been positive. There are a few minor issues but nothing that takes me away from the platform or results in me viewing it in a negative light.

Pros

Yodeck provides a streamlined process to communicate media on a TV. You can organise media, create schedules, playlists, import Google Slides, setup widgets, and so much more.

Long gone are the days of plugging in a USB to the side of the screen or needing to connect a laptop and running through HDMI, just hoping the aspect ratio matches. Yodeck sorts this all for us remotely.

Cons

I'd love to be able to setup a playlist, assign it to a schedule, but have certain images within the playlist set with an expiry date of sorts. For example, if an event were promoted through an image in a playlist, to ensure that event is promoted after the event takes place, I can create a second playlist, go into my schedules, and then have one playlist (with event promo) set to a certain date, and then another playlist after that.

If I could instead set an expiry on that image, I setup one playlist, set it to run forever, and then load in my image with an expiry or "auto-remove from playlist" date to help me automate my workflow and not need as many playlists.

Just a small thing.

One other, is that one user can't have access to multiple Yodeck properties. I need to set up another email for another Yodeck. This really needs to be fixed.

Making managing digital content at 2 locations SO MUCH easier!!

I was sold on Yodeck pretty quickly with having the solution I was looking for and making appear intuitive and straightforward. I tested it out on the free web screen version and then pulled the trigger to get the Yodeck players. The pre-configured devices are literally plug 'n play. Jumping into the interface was seamless and so far am enjoying the product and platform.

Pros

I love being able to access and manage our digital signage content remotely. I oversee two separate locations for our business and it's so nice to be able to change content on the fly without having to physically go to each and plug in a USB flash drive the old fashioned way. I also really like the layouts feature and being able to have widgets like a clock, weather forecast, and more fixed on the screen while my main content loops.

Cons

So far there's not too much to not like. I will say I have run into a couple issues with certain apps that integrate with Yodeck. For example, the Google slides app was not cooperating for some reason. I feel like the news apps having a smaller ticker bar format option would be cool... but these are minor.

Easy to setup, use, administer and maintain

I am very contempt to finally have found the perfect digital signage solution for our use case.
While it is easy to get up and running fast, the yodeck features open a world of possibilities to explore and expand the use cases with a large number of App integrations, REST API , etc. I am almost certain to expand its usage to other areas and company sites

Pros

The setup process to get my pi running was very easy and quick.
The dashboard is easy and intuitive to use. Once set up it has been running absolutely reliably and stable. Maintenance of the raspberry pis is practically zero.
Yodeck supports a wide range of media including the display of websites which was one of my most important requirements in our SOC to display PRTG maps of our monitored IT infrastructure.
The central administration with the possibility to add users based on a role concept with groups and assigned workspaces with screens was also a key requirement.

Cons

I have nothing to criticize. The only thing to get used to was the

A balance of versatility and complexity

It took some work to get it going, but now I have a display that is self-updating as we add thing to and remove things from the calendar and as various news sources post content. I like things I can set and forget.

Pros

It's pretty versatile. There are a lot of options. We use images in a playlist, and another playlist that switches between a calendar and a schedule that come from our church management system, Breeze. We also have a ticker of RSS feeds from the National Weather Service, local government, our church's blog, and news from both our denominations. This keeps the information fresh without my having to continually update it.

Cons

Versatility competes with simplicity. This is true for any type of project.

It can take a while to grasp all the different objects and how they go together. Apps are created for each item on the screen, and they go in layouts or playlists. Layouts can go in playlists or playlists in layouts, but not both. A screen can have a layout or a playlist, and can have a schedule too. The schedule can also have a layout or a playlist.

My other annoyance is that the dates are in dd/mm/yyyy format. I personally prefer yyyy/mm/dd format (most significant to least) but am used to mm/dd/yyyy. I don't see a way to change this. Also, it's hard to difficult time in a date/time field.

Yodeck is the best digital signage solution hands down

Yodeck is great because the devices themselves just work. The GUI to configure them makes ease of use and implementation very easy. I love these devices and we plan on continuing to use them moving forward. We just upgraded to a premium annual subscription and will expand our Yodeck coverage at our charter school site. Also reached out to their support and they were very nice, quick, and helpful. Thank you Yodeck!

Pros

Yodeck is very easy to use and the school I work at has had them for over 5 years. Makes posting lunch menus and events very easy to integrate and implement. We are now planning to expand to 6 Yodeck devices total to be able to post events to dedicated TVs throughout our campus! We use them frequently.

Glad Yodeck is an option that is still around. Just spoke with their support team and they were very nice and responsive. Thank you Yodeck!

Cons

The only problem with the Yodeck devices have been them burning out with our externally located TV screens. However, I believe this is more of a problem of the California heat cooking them and not a design flaw of the Yodeck themselves. We have since opted to not use them on those particular setups moving forward.

By far the best digital signage solution out there!

We need to inform our members of large amounts of information (including events, deadlines, dates, activities, seasonal vision casting, etc.) across our campus AND be able to present that information in different ways. Yodeck allows us to create whatever layout configurations we need specific for each part of our organization.

Pros

Yodeck is the most flexible digital signage solution ever. With their addition of the web based players, literally any screen can become a digital sign (for a price). I also like that I can build my own rpi and bring it into the ecosystem fairly easily. The customization for playlists, layouts, schedules, etc., is just ridiculous. There are so many options to literally have whatever you want.

Cons

Sometimes the dashboard UI is a little sluggish, clunky. For example, sometimes with saving certain videos it seems like the encoding process doesn't start. I have to delete it and reupload. A minor annoyance for sure. Also, pricing tier is fine, but I wish there were more bundling options (more displays at better discounts), but I guess I am cheap.

Absolutely Great for our Church Lobby Announcement Board

To me it seems to be such a powerful system to be run from a Raspberry Pi. The super small form factor fits any where and has no fan or other noise. The Yodeck admin portal is easy to navigate and does what you tell it to when you tell it to do it. The price is exceptional for all the content options provided. I feel like I have only scratched the surface of its capabilities.

Pros

I have been using Yodeck for a few weeks now. It was purchased for an announcements board for our church and so far it has been great and works great with our Samsung The Frame display. The scheduling of on/off is a great tool for us as well as the content display schedules.

Cons

I do not know. I haven't got that far yet. So far no complaints.

Most affordable and versatile Digital Signage App for bars!

I really appreciate how Yodeck integrates everyday tools like Canva, making content creation and marketing intuitive and efficient. Being able to import designs directly from Canva without needing to download or upload files is a huge time saver. However, I do find the layout interface a bit buggy and limiting, especially when using Yodeck’s own design tools. Copying and pasting text can be unreliable, so I often rely on external apps like Canva or Adobe Suite to handle more intricate designs.

User interface is friendly and anyone can pick it up fairly easily on their own.

Pros

I love how you can integrate everyday tools and apps into your playlists and layouts. It makes creating content and marketing a breeze because of how intuituve it is. Being able to implement my Canva designs right from the Canva website without downloading/uploading is such a time saver, and it imports it right into my media library.

Cons

The layout interface is a bit buggy on its own and a bit limiting when using the design tools from Yodeck itself. Copying/pasting text is a bit buggy, therefore one would pretty much have to rey on apps such as Canva or anything from the Adibe suite to design anything intricate and complex.

Best Signage software on the market.

Overall, we are impressed with ease of set up and use. This has upped our communication with our membership.

Yodeck is one of the best digital signage applications we have used for our branch of the Royal Canadian Legion. We are controlling 2 monitors in the building using the software to control the content very easily. The support has been top notch, if we have a rare problem.

Digital signage

I am extremely satisfied. I just want to get more players so that I can display more content in different areas. I have never used a better signage platform like Yodeck and will always recommend them to every business.

Pros

It is easy to set up and works smoothly without any problems.
They also have a lot of "how to" info and videos. And if you are still struggling, their customer service is one of the fastest and best I have seen. It integrates with many apps and programs, so endless possibilities exist.

The best product I've found for digital signage!

I have been using Yodeck for 10 years or so and it has always been rock solid! Built on the raspberry pi platform as a solid base, customer support that is second to none, and easy to use software to configure the slideshows, makes this product an easy sell for any non-profit, corporate, or religious environment!

Pros

The ease of setup and management make this product a no brainer! The single free screen is a great option for testing the waters of the platform or even running for a small business or non-profit location!

Cons

Being to change the view of the playlist layout would be helpful for arranging larger playlists. Otherwise, it's hard to find anything wrong with this software!

Awesome and easy to use display software for your business.

Very good overall experience. I have been using Yodeck and trying to make my ads business grow for a couple of years, and Yodeck has been key. I like the interface, the easy features and support has been great. Sometimes support won't answer, and there are some technical things that have a steep learning curve.

Pros

The thing I like the most of Yodeck is how easy it is to use and to try it out with no hidden payments or requirements.

Cons

A con I found, is that there are several features that are not available on other OS that the software supports.

Yodeck allows your imagination to grow

Very satisfied in my experience as a digital marketing publisher and editor.

Pros

Yodeck is way ahead of its time and very underrated in terms of its package and offerings. It allows your imagination to grow with the many possibilities with its functionality and publication system. The software is reliable easy to understand and comes at a fair price for commercial uses or personal. Multi screen PIP (picture in picture) is what i liked the most. Controlling the screen is what we want and Yodeck delivers just that brilliantly.

Cons

Hard to say. Maybe the pricing can be reviewed as we are living in a very competitive age with very advance tech out the. For example there is hologram tech that has been on the market of digital signage for quiet some time.

Digital Signage Software That's Easy to Get Going

Overall, Yodeck has allowed me to add another revenue stream to my business by providing affordable digital signage solutions to local businesses. No complex software, no outrageous prices for starting out. It's the best platform I've seen for digital signage so far.

Yodeck is a really easy software to setup with tons of layout customization options and prebuilt templates. My favorite part is the layout builder that allows you to section off the screen how you want.

An overall fantastic product for several different uses.

Overall, our experience with Yodeck has been positive minus those few issues that we still have. The Quality improvements and the ability to integrate more apps has been fantastic. Yodeck has come a long way and I'm excited for what will come next.

Pros

We have 4 locations all with at least 3 screens but up to 5 all serving different purposes from our menu boards, to digital marketing, and even a couple to spread information to our amazing employees. One of my personal favorite features to be added recently was the ability to configure the first-time setup directly from my phone rather than have to plug in a keyboard. I also use content scheduling to update the content regularly which has been so helpful with all of the other tasks that I currently have.

Cons

Sometimes the getting our TVs to detect the players correctly has been a challenge. It is not all of the time or every player. The latest one the TV detects the player as a PC, and I am unable to change the screen ratio or the resolution, and the image is distorted.
One feature that I think is very important that is missing is to be to level the audio between diffent videos, all of our videos come from different people and brands and the volume between each of them can be so different that it makes it hard to set a volume on the TV.
There are still a few times with manual intervention is required weather the player crashes or the app of Firestick crashes or fails to start with the device turns on. The problem on the Firestick comes and goes. I thought it had been fixed because we haven't had that problem in a while but one of our locations has been experiencing this issue all last week and has been having complaint of different trailers and advertisements, pushed by Amazon, playing instead of showing our menu board, the common one being Hell's Kitchen and there is no pun intended.

Yodeck is an excellent product with only minor quality-of-life features needed

Overall Yodeck, its players and its overall product have been very helpful to us in a manufacturing facility, especially as many are without personal computers. We use our Yodeck players to display company metrics, announcements and priority boards from our ERP system thanks to the PowerBI native app. These things all work well setup as a 'Playlist'. However, I do wish the Yodeck players were a bit more powerful. Things can take a bit to load between slides making some 'tricks' required such as setting PowerBI to mostly static content (it takes an image of the metrics and updates them on an interval) and 'keeping webpages open' when it comes to showing web content.

I do wish they had a native app integration for Microsoft Office online suite, such as the Excel or PowerPoint Online as these require workarounds like anonymous links to be able to use. It would be awesome if they could integrate this similar to PowerBI where you can link an O365 account to display an Excel Online spreadsheet without opening these up with a public URL.

Pros

Easy to use and great selection of apps available, reasonable pricing.

Cons

Some aspects of the layout design feature could be a bit more expanded. Why am I not able to underline text without having to add a shape?

A great product that does what I need it to do.

My overall experience with Yodeck has been very positive. The platform is intuitive and user-friendly, making it easy to deploy and manage digital signage across multiple locations. Additionally, the remote management features are fantastic, especially when making instant updates, even across global time zones. Yodeck has streamlined our signage process and added real value to our business.

Cons

I'm using it to run a Google Doc presentation; I noticed that even slides that I set as "skipped' in Google are being shown.

Best solution for quick inform customers and employees

Yodeck was the answer for my long research for quick solution in one of workplace which helps me automate process of sharing content without providing prepared videos on USB stick every week. When I started working with yodeck portal I noticed a lot of other functionalities which I could use. Currently its main signage solution which could be used on other building in UK.

Pros

In yodeck I mostly like clear and easy to use UI which could be used by people without technical skills. Most people who have experience with Microsoft PowerPoint would like creator delivered by yodeck to prepare content on digital signage.

Cons

When I manage a large amount of content, I can't quickly identify which layouts are currently in use on some of playlists or monitors.

One Stop Shop for Digital Signage

Overall Yodeck has been great with helping us streamline our digital signage. No longer are we casting from a web browser and having to troubleshoot connections or correct formatting. Yodeck allows us to do that all from one dashboard, saving an incredible amount of time.

Pros

Yodeck is incredibly easy to use and implement. Whether you bring your own or purchase one of their RPi devices, managing multiple digital signage devices is very easy. The dashboard allows you to manage the media being presented in a sleek and easily maneuverable dashboard.

Cons

It's unfortunate that some apps are only compatible with their own devices, I'm not sure I quite understand why, but that is a downside that let to me not being able to test one of our app integrations until we purchased one of their players.
