## Reviews

### "Deep usage for MPC control development" — 4.0/5

> **Carlo** | *10 July 2026* | Mechanical or Industrial Engineering | Recommendation rating: 8.0/10
>
> **Pros**: Modelon Impact provides an excellent cloud-based environment for developing, simulating, and sharing Modelica models. The interface is clean and intuitive while still offering advanced capabilities for experienced users. I particularly appreciated the integration between modeling, parameter studies, optimization, and result visualization, which significantly speeds up engineering workflows. Collaboration is also much easier compared to traditional desktop tools, as projects can be shared and managed centrally. The support for large physical system models and the availability of high-quality component libraries make it a very productive environment for multidisciplinary engineering.
>
> **Cons**: Some advanced workflows still require a learning curve, especially for users new to Modelica or equation-based modeling. Very large models can require significant computational resources, and certain advanced customization options available in desktop environments are not yet as flexible in the cloud.
>
> Overall, my experience has been very positive. I have used Modelon Impact for developing physics-based models, system simulations, optimization studies, and control-oriented applications. The platform combines the flexibility of Modelica with the convenience of a modern cloud environment, making collaboration and model management considerably easier. It is particularly well suited for complex engineering projects involving thermal systems, energy systems, electrification, and multidisciplinary simulations. I would recommend it to engineering teams looking for a scalable and professional simulation platform.

### "Powerful modeling software with outstanding support" — 5.0/5

> **Jan** | *20 July 2026* | Renewables & Environment | Recommendation rating: 8.0/10
>
> **Pros**: What I liked most about Modelon Impact was its ease of use and the modeling workflow. It allows complex systems to be built quickly while remaining flexible enough for detailed engineering work. They offer several modelling libraries, with many componets and examples, which you can adust to your prefrence. I also appreciated the ability to run multiple experiments and compare different scenarios efficiently, which significantly speeds up system simulation, optimization and sensitivity analyses. Also their customer support is top notch.
>
> **Cons**: The biggest challenge was the learning curve, especially when getting started with more advanced modeling concepts and workflows. Troubleshooting simulations and interpreting error messages could also be time-consuming at times, particularly when identifying the root cause of an issue.
>
> Overall, the experience with Modelon Impact has been very positive. It is a powerful and versatile platform for modeling and simulation, with an intuitive interface that makes building and modifying models efficient. It has a vast modelling library and features such as running multiple experiments, comparing scenarios, and analyzing results significantly improve the engineering workflow. While there is a learning curve and troubleshooting complex models can sometimes be challenging, these are outweighed by the platform's capabilities. I would also like to highlight the excellent customer support, the team has been extremely responsive, knowledgeable, and genuinely helpful whenever we had questions or encountered issues. Their support made the learning process much smoother and greatly enhanced our overall experience with the platform.

### "Advanced user of Modelon Libraries and Modelica" — 4.0/5

> **Ondrej** | *10 July 2026* | Automotive | Recommendation rating: 10.0/10
>
> **Pros**: Compilation and simulation tool together with all Modelon libraries at an acceptable price. A flexible tool with many options.
>
> **Cons**: When I create my graphs and visualizations of results in the Results/Analysis tab, it would be great if I could save them and use them in another model or later for data analysis.
>
> I have been using Dymola SW for Modelica simulations for 12 years. I have been using Impact for the last 3 years, the transition was smooth, thanks to Modelon support I was able to solve even very complicated and complex systems, recirculation loops, extensive thermodynamic models, etc. In most cases, Modelon Impact is completely satisfactory, it works flawlessly, from anywhere with very fast and functional technical support, in case of ambiguities and problems.
