## Reviews

### "Data storage, documents, evidence, everything you need for case files software\!" — 5.0/5

> **Verified Reviewer** | *12 August 2021* | Government Relations | Recommendation rating: 10.0/10
>
> **Pros**: The most impactful thing about using Nuix Workstation would be the amount of data we have as an investigations team and being able to sort through documents, find anomalies, similarities in other cases, keyword search for just about anything from names, pieces of evidence, dates, locations and more. Integrating this software with our investigations team has proven beneficial by way of making sure that everyone was on the same page in terms of entering information correctly, efficiently, in a timely manner, that then proves beneficial in court proceedings as well.
>
> **Cons**: The most difficult aspect of utilizing Nuix would be the categorization and time it takes to enter the information correctly, if not entered correctly you will receive several error messages and logs to go through to find out which item has been mislabeled, not entered the right way, using capitals, etc. Another thing to note is that it requires a separate workstation and each user will have to have what is basically another tower added to their existing computer so space may be an issue.
>
> I would highly recommend any investigations/forensics team to use Nuix as it has proven beneficial in many ways such as providing insight into previous cases that we would not have known about because we would have had to manually go through physical paperwork and electronic documents to find similarities. With Nuix a quick query of an address, name and or location will easily allow you to see if there are similarities to your current case, it has proven extremely beneficial in connecting the dots with one case to another. Another benefit is the amount of data that you can add the the software, it is more than what any other software platform has been able to handle.

### "Processing speed is impressive and interface is easy to manipulate" — 5.0/5

> **Janet** | *13 June 2017* | Pharmaceuticals | Recommendation rating: 9.0/10
>
> **Pros**: The data processing speed is very impressive and you can make sets and subsets of the data you process. User friendly interface and can identify all different types of data
>
> **Cons**: The price of this software is a bit pricy. If the setup of the machine is not in the best architect, the speed will be highly affected
>
> Make the data processing easy, the best data processing tools that I have ever used. (Not comparing the processing features of relativity.

### "I use NUIX Workstation professionally for extracting and sifting large amounts of unstructured data." — 4.0/5

> **Verified Reviewer** | *11 July 2018* | Recommendation rating: 8.0/10
>
> **Pros**: NUIX processes large amounts (Terabytes) of unstructured data very fast. It handles most forensic image types, including phone dumps from XRY and Cellebrite. It OCR's PDF's and other image types.
Datasifting based on a list of searchterms is a breeze, with the "search and tag" function. It has all the possibilities from a review platform, for finding the needle in the hay stack. No matter the size of your hay stack.
It's written in JAVA and runs on Windows, MacOSX and GNU Linux distro's.
Scripting can be done in Python.
The support (at least in NL) is great. Not only in the sales / implementation phase, but certainly also when using the platform.
>
> **Cons**: The NUIX interface can be overwhelming in the beginning and a starters course is adviced.
NUIX needs very powerful hardware if you run big cases, with an emphasis on I/O speed.
It's written in JAVA and you have to manage the use of memory yourself.
>
> Very fast processing and indexing of large amonts of data
