> Forms Designer is a no-code form builder for Microsoft 365 and SharePoint Online, made for teams that need list and library forms to match a real business process rather than the default field stack. It fits SharePoint administrators, site owners, and business analysts who maintain lists for requests, approvals, intake, asset tracking, or reporting and want to shape those forms without commissioning custom development.

The designer works by drag and drop: fields and controls are placed on a canvas, and separate Create, Edit, and Display forms can be defined for the same list so each step shows only the relevant fields. Layouts are organized with tabs, accordions, panels, and rows that group several fields together, which keeps long records readable. Lookup columns, images, buttons, hyperlinks, and rich text controls can be added directly to a form.

What sets the configuration apart is the mix of governance and depth. Conditional logic shows or hides fields based on what a user enters, validation checks data as it is filled in, and field-level permissions let an administrator grant view, read-only, or hidden status to individual fields for chosen users or groups, so one list can serve several roles. When a requirement goes past the standard controls, built-in CSS, HTML, and JavaScript editors add custom styling and behavior. Completed designs save as reusable templates and forms embed on SharePoint pages.

The Microsoft 365 edition targets SharePoint Online, with on-premises editions for SharePoint Server 2013, 2016, and 2019. Support resources include product documentation and an online knowledge base on the vendor site, plus an email help desk for assistance with setup and configuration.
