## Reviews

### "Bathurst Regional Council Confirm Review" — 4.0/5

> **Matilda** | *21 October 2024* | Government Administration | Recommendation rating: 7.0/10
>
> **Pros**: Functionality. Ability to customise information captured in Asset Register. Ability to view asset information and inspect in the field. Customer Services module is user friendly.
>
> **Cons**: Support/Helpdesk - often difficult to convey the problem easily to support staff. Lack of inbuilt reporting functions.
>
> It is a very vast program that is used widely across the organisation for a number of different tasks.

### "Good start to Asset Management" — 4.0/5

> **Spencer** | *4 August 2024* | Government Administration | Recommendation rating: 7.0/10
>
> **Pros**: It covers the basic operations over the entire life of an asset. It does linear modelling and dynamic segmentation better than any other software I have come across (but it's a bit slow).
>
> **Cons**: It does very little to actually help you. You do all of the hard work then record the final result in Confirm.
>
> Been using Confirm for 24 years. 10 years as a Confirm consultant and 14 years as a client. Seen Confirm sold from company to company more times than I can remember now (it happened every few years for a while). It hasn't kept up with the times and the interface shows it. It's only recently that Confirm has started to use modern web interfaces, but the update has been slow. If you do things the "Confirm way" then it works fine, but as soon as you want something done slightly differently, then it becomes a struggle as Confirm only works the "Confirm way". You end up doing a lot of work outside of Confirm and just importing the final result. It is actively developed (that's a good thing) but the focus seems to be on adding new Features instead of fixing bugs (a valuation report bug was in for 15 years) or enhancing existing features to make them better. In short Confirm has low functionality over a large range of features. It gives you the ability to do things, just not very well.

### "Has potential, but needs more work" — 3.0/5

> **Jacqui** | *5 August 2024* | Government Administration | Recommendation rating: 5.0/10
>
> **Pros**: One system that caters for asset whole of life cycle activities.
>
> **Cons**: End User experience is not intuitive and often completing a task takes too many clicks or steps to complete.
The transition from Enterprise to Web has been extremely slow and the design of the new web interface is not as user friendly as I would have thought.
The Web Lookup manager has no security at a granular level so user security is either ALL or Nothing, this is not optimal as end user may need the ability to update certain lookups e.g., Teams but should not have access to update system wide configuration items.
>
> Generally frustrating, often when issues are raised, we are advised that the system is working as designed and to submit an idea. Ideas can then sit for years and not be actioned. This leads to users finding ways to work around the initial problem which results in inefficiency and sometimes has undesirable consequences.
I believe an external UX company should be engaged to review both the end user experience and the user interface design of the product (Web and Connect).

### "Confirm Experience" — 3.0/5

> **Margaret** | *9 October 2024* | Civil Engineering | Recommendation rating: 7.0/10
>
> **Pros**: Instant work at finger tips, how one platforms receives data and you can locate in another platform, easy to complete task and find tasks
>
> **Cons**: There is a loss of features after updates -long wait on fixing problems after update -Map drops out in Connect platform.
>
> I work with all of confirms cross platforms, I find it easy to use and makes my work simple.

-----

### "Please try harder" — 3.0/5

> **Robin** | *11 August 2024* | Civic & Social Organization | Recommendation rating: 4.0/10
>
> **Pros**: Look I know it's not easy to build, maintain, support clients and develop the product road map. There's a lot of good things with Confirm, and competitors also have their weaknesses / issues.
>
> **Cons**: Client support is flakey, hit and miss. The rollout of upgrades is poorly managed with inconsistent and poor notification. The documentation supporting upgrades especially for issue resolution is too light on. The quality of upgrades is wanting time and time again - functionality that doesn't work, issues half resolved.
>
> Stressful. Issues SCC support team has to manage with our internal clients due to holes in functionality 'wide enough to drive a truck through' - Web as an example. The approach of tricking it out just to show you are doing something, rather than having a complete product to implement. Basic support issues like the dashboard outage caused by a server drive filling up - don't you have alerts on this? \! The inability to resolve Brightly Active Directory sync for weeks and weeks\!
