# Dropcue

Canonical: https://www.softwareadvice.com.au/software/539342/Dropcue

> DropCue is music catalog management software for composers, music publishers, sync agencies, and production music libraries. It brings catalog metadata, branded share links, a contacts CRM, a submission inbox, and per-listener analytics into one platform built for the way music is actually pitched.

Who it is for

Composers and artists use DropCue to pitch sync placements, send demos, and maintain a branded portfolio page. Publishers and agencies use it to manage rosters and send curated selections to supervisors. Music supervisors use it to receive pitches and leave timestamped feedback without downloading anything.

It fits catalogs from a few hundred tracks to 20,000 and beyond. Most customers manage between 1,000 and 20,000 tracks.

The problem it solves

Most music professionals run their catalog on a mix of Dropbox, spreadsheets, and a generic CRM. Those tools cannot play audio inline, do not understand music metadata like BPM, key, ISRC, or writer splits, and give no visibility into whether a pitch was ever opened. Sending a folder of WAVs tells you nothing about what happened next.

DropCue replaces that stack with one system that understands music files.

Catalog and metadata

Upload WAV, MP3, AIFF, and FLAC by drag and drop, with metadata imported automatically from file tags. Edit metadata in bulk across hundreds of tracks at once rather than one at a time. AI auto-tagging detects BPM, key, genre, mood, and instrumentation, so a large back catalog becomes searchable without manual entry. Alternative mixes nest under their parent track, so a cue with six versions stays one entry instead of six.

Sharing and security

Every share is a branded link, not an attachment. Add a password, set an expiration date, and control whether recipients can download or stream only. Playlists organize into sections by mood, genre, or project. Audio snippets let you mark the exact passage a supervisor should hear first, which matters when someone is auditioning forty cues in an afternoon.

Analytics that name names

DropCue reports per recipient, not just per link. You see who opened the playlist, which tracks they played, how long they listened, and where they stopped. That tells you which cue to follow up on and which relationship is actually warm, instead of guessing after silence.

Feedback and intake

Supervisors leave timestamped comments pinned to an exact moment in a track, so revision notes are unambiguous. A built-in submission inbox lets you post a brief, collect submissions from composers, and review them in one queue instead of an overflowing email folder.

Pricing and trial

Artist is $8 per month billed annually, or $10 month to month, with no track limit, built for artists, bands, songwriters and producers. Pro starts at $15 per month billed annually and scales by catalog size from 1,000 to 20,000 or more tracks. Studio starts at $29 per month billed annually, or $33 month to month, and scales by catalog size, adding the full business suite for libraries and teams. Every plan includes a 7-day free trial and no credit card is required to start.

Support and onboarding

DropCue is built and supported by working composers rather than a general software vendor. Catalog imports are supported directly, so moving an existing library in does not mean re-entering metadata by hand.

## Reviews

### "Built for the way composers actually work" — 5.0/5

> **Dallas** | *28 September 2026* | Music | Recommendation rating: 10.0/10
>
> **Pros**: DropCue feels like it was built by someone who actually understands how composers organize and deliver music. Albums stay clean, alternate mixes and stems are grouped properly, share links look professional, and I can replace an updated master without breaking the track or links I've already sent. \[sensitive content hidden\] support has been exceptional. I've sent him detailed workflow feedback and watched useful improvements ship almost immediately.
>
> **Cons**: It's still a young platform, so some of the deeper business and integration workflows are being built out. Every issue I've raised has been handled quickly, and the pace of improvement has been unusually good.
>
> I moved my catalog delivery over from DISCO after testing DropCue with real albums and client-facing links. It handles the work I need every week without getting in the way, and the presentation is clean enough that I'm happy sending it to publishers and music supervisors. The in-place master replacement alone saved me from rebuilding shares after revisions. Between the product and \[sensitive content hidden\] responsiveness, switching was an easy decision.

### "No going back\!" — 5.0/5

> **Jason** | *18 September 2026* | Music | Recommendation rating: 10.0/10
>
> **Pros**: It really does everything I'm looking for in a music sharing/organizing platform. Sending music/playlists is so easy, and the delivery looks very pro. The AI metadata tagging is also fantastic and saves me a ton of time.
>
> **Cons**: Can't say much on this. Compared to how I was doing these tasks prior to DropCue, it's hard to find anything worth mentioning that isn't great.
>
> Fantastic. Customer service is wonderful, pricing is competitive, and the transition to it from my former way of working was relatively painless. The learning curve isn't steep, either, and there are tutorial vids that cover anything I've needed help with.

### "Thank you Dropcue" — 5.0/5

> **Jon** | *19 September 2026* | Music | Recommendation rating: 10.0/10
>
> **Pros**: Ease of updating, categorizing, and curating music and metadata. It's really a great tool. The stems, lyrics, and metadata functions are second to none.
>
> **Cons**: None so far. I've been an early adopter and have been through a lot of the early bugs but the Dropcue team squashed those quickly and have released an impressive product.
>
> I made the transition from Disco to Dropcue and have never looked back. The Dropcue team have thoughtfully created a product that is incredibly helpful and educational.

### "Dream Platform to share music" — 5.0/5

> **ed** | *23 September 2026* | Entertainment | Recommendation rating: 10.0/10
>
> **Pros**: Just what I have been waiting for. Such a straightforward and easy site to use. Customer service is exceptional too.
>
> **Cons**: There's LOTS to look at. Perhaps it could be plainer? But to be honest I find my way around it pretty easily.
>
> It took about a tenth of the time to get 3000 tracks into this platform compared to DISCO. And the support was in a different class.

### "Intuitive User-Friendly Platform" — 5.0/5

> **Eric** | *29 September 2026* | Entertainment | Recommendation rating: 10.0/10
>
> **Pros**: It has all the features I want and the user interface is very intuitive. I can have a professional portfolio/webpage ready in just a few minutes. I don't want to worry about web design and having a simple logo and banner is all you really need to make a professional site with DropCue. I also love that I can update songs on already-shared playlists without having to re-shared something new.
>
> **Cons**: There are a lot of features to explore and I'm not sure which ones would benefit me. I don't want to spend a lot of time exploring. It would be helpful to know what features benefit my particular needs with a simple interface. It's possible "Ask Cue" can do that for me but I haven't explored that.
>
> It's made sharing my music so much easier for both musicians I work with and the public. Sharing playlists and works-in-progress without requiring listeners to have a login to some app or site is a must-have and DropCue gives you so much more.
