Powerful Marketing Automation. A bit complex. Great Customer Service.
Generally very good. I like the product. It is one of the few good marketing automation platforms with a decent CRM.
Pros
Great customer service and marketing automation capability. Also, it integrates with almost anything.
Cons
I was using an industry-specific version of the platform, which was not a good fit for my needs. Learning how to get the most out of the marketing automation was rather complex.
Reasons for Choosing ActiveCampaign
I found an industry-specific version of Active Campaign. But that version was not a good fit for my needs. I switched back to Hubspot and may move to odoo.Switched From

Incredible Marketing Automation and Competitive Pricing
ActiveCampaign is an excellent platform. I've implemented it for several of my agency's clients and find it very customizable and powerful.
Pros
ActiveCampaign is an incredibly powerful marketing automation platform. It offers a robust and flexible feature set at a competitive price. As an agency and website developer, I like that it's very customizable in terms of integrating with other platforms. ActiveCampaign also continually improves and updates to add new functionality.
Cons
The platform's visual design and user interface aren't quite as polished or modern as competitors like HubSpot.
Reasons for Switching to ActiveCampaign
Compared to the other platforms, ActiveCampaign was the most robust and customizable for our budget.- Industry: Information Technology & Services

Terrible Product - Wastes Time with Constant Re-doing of Work
If I could tear this system out and start with a new marketing automation, I would do it yesterday. Every time anyone on our team uses it, it never works properly and we lose information all the time (Customer Service was of no help in this area).
Additionally, we can't even use for data analysis because the information is not accurate. We will see clicks in the thousands for content in our emails (very unusual) - but Customer Service told us that some customers servers may do a "security check" when emails arrive in their system to check for malware. Fair enough - but as a result, we are not getting any kind of data to make future decisions.
Buy ANY other software, avoid this at all costs.
Pros
Absolutely nothing and I'm stuck using it because it was purchased before I started.
Cons
Everything takes TEN TIMES LONGER TO COMPLETE ANYTHING with Active Campaign than any other marketing automation/email system I have ever used in my 20 year career.
Non-intuitive, difficulty formatting, you are constantly searching for how to do things, and my favorite - just doesn't save what you are working on, meaning you have to re-do things ALL THE TIME. This is a constant battle.

Great for smaller businesses, not so great for enterprise
The app is almost too easy and too simple, which isn't what a more enterprise company would want. It's more of a small to medium business tool. The quality of support also isn't fully there when something goes wrong.
Pros
Super easy to use. Modern UI and very active support team. Clean documentation. Their development team were also quite supportive in helping us build an integration with them.
Cons
I find their automation and customization functionality is limiting. Because of that, we use another tool like Keap to send most of our emails. I don't think our developers find it as friendly to use as other tools available. Also, although they were supportive in helping us build an integration, once we had a problem - that's where the assistance stopped. If something goes wrong, they don't know or don't have the resources to fix it.
