Canonical: https://www.softwareadvice.com.au/software/555670/Lattice

> Lattice is an open-source software designed for qualitative data analysis. It allows researchers to code textual data, retrieve coded segments, and analyze patterns within qualitative research projects. It is suitable for academic researchers, social scientists, and professionals working across various disciplines. Developed using the Lazarus IDE and Free Pascal Compiler, it operates as a native application with low resource requirements, enabling smooth performance even with large documents or datasets.

The software supports importing documents in formats such as txt, docx, odt, and pdf as plain text. Additional data attributes can be imported from sources including xlsx, ods, json, and sqlite files. It features a six-level hierarchical code tree that visually organizes coded segments using color highlights, coding brackets, and action anchors. A memo system is included, offering five categories—Project, Analytical, Document, Code, and Segment memos—for recording observations and reflections. Documents can also be assigned attributes in text, categorical, numeric, date-time, and URL or path formats.

The workspace includes tools for analyses such as Code Frequency, Code Co-occurrence, Attribute-Code Crosstab, Coding Coverage, and Word Cloud. Coded segments can be filtered by attributes or scoped by document or code, with options to export results as formatted pdf and html reports or data files in formats such as xlsx, ods, csv, json, and xml. Visualizations and analysis results can be exported in svg, pdf, png, and jpeg formats. Lattice functions as a self-contained, portable database and is distributed under the GNU Affero General Public License version 3. Its source code is publicly available.
