I've used Asana for 7 or 8 years and I've never had a bad experience, It's always been good. But the limitations are usually what turns me away

Indispensable tool for larger projects
I used Asana for various projects in private and business context. Especially in larger teams or teams with agile workflow Asana is a huge help.
Pros
Easy project management with a variety of tools that support with planning and tracking. Easy collaboration and nice views for better insights in current status and ongoing tasks. The comment sections makes it easy to ask questions to other team members.
Cons
Free plan has some limitations. Unfortunately, they discontinued the "free for students" offer. This is a huge drawback since I used to teach my students some advanced aspects of project management using Asana Premium features as an example.

Where or where did my old Asana go? It went greedy.
It used to be very positive, not it is just a money-hungry disappointment.
Pros
It used to have an ease of use. Very vitually appealing and easy for staff to follow. I also enjoyed the Celebration Creatures.
Cons
Since developing a paid version, more and more functions have been stripped from the paid one. And the paid version is incredibly expensive for a small, independent business. The search function is impossible, you can't get rid of detritus, etc. I can no longer recommend them.

Asana - it runs my life - and that's a GREAT thing!
Very positive - I've used it while working for three separate organizations, and introduced it to co-workers in two of those organizations, and it has ALWAYS changed the way we work for the better!
Pros
I LOVE how functional it is for small and medium sized teams - even the free portion of it?
Cons
From time to time, Asana does change the URLs of their various tools, which means bookmarking can be a problem.
