# SheetAgent for C3D

Canonical: https://www.softwareadvice.com.au/software/558234/SheetAgent-for-C3D

> A sheet-production plugin for Autodesk Civil 3D that turns sheet production from a one-time event into a managed, living set. Civil engineering teams generate plan and profile sheets, key maps, legends, matchlines, and title blocks on their own firm standards, then keep all of it in sync as the design evolves.
Sheets generate four ways. Array tiles a closed boundary such as a limit of work, site, or parcel. Path runs sheets along a polyline, which suits exhibits, utilities, and early studies before an alignment exists. Alignment-based sheets follow stationing, the workhorse for production plan sets. Free placement lets a sheet preview follow the cursor in model space and drop where it is clicked.
Each sheet can carry a single plan viewport or several: plan and plan, plan and profile, or plan and a duplicate view. Support viewports cover key maps, legends, and vicinity maps. Key maps draw tile outlines, hatched extents, and sheet-number labels. Matchlines and their labels are trimmed at viewport edges. Annotations include north arrows, scale bars, and station ranges. External PDF pages can be imported in batch and built into complete detail sheets, and project keyplans give an overview of every sheet across all subsets.
Nothing is locked. Every element a civil engineer would touch stays editable: move, rotate, or reshape a tile and the layout follows; adjust viewports; redraw matchlines; and edit, reposition, or swap the title block and its fields, all without breaking the set. When an alignment moves, the set re-tiles against the new geometry while matchlines, viewport titles, and sheet numbers come along, rather than stranding at the old extent. Generated sheets stay in sync with Autodesk Sheet Set Manager, so sheet numbering and sheet lists stay current as the set changes.
A health palette audits the model against the published sheets and flags drift, missing elements, and manual edits. It warns rather than blocks: the designer decides what to accept or revert, and manual work is never overwritten. Company standards held in an editable Excel template define layer names, colors, line types, and viewport defaults, and are applied to every layout every user creates. When the template changes, the health palette flags every layout that has drifted and restandardizing them takes one click.
Layouts drafted before installation can be adopted and managed the same way, without a rebuild. A manager portal handles seat assignment, so access stays under the firm's control, and reports usage and time saved from the team's own telemetry rather than vendor estimates.
Everything runs locally, and no drawing data leaves the workstation. Requires Autodesk Civil 3D 2025, 2026, or 2027.
