AvidXchange - Like having an extra employee
Superior! That is how I would describe my overall experience with AvidXchange ... Scoring: A+ 100!
Pros
While I must admit I was very reluctant to make this move, it was a painless transition. AvidXchange has lightened my workload. My invoices are scanned to AVID, they enter the majority of the invoice details and I verify, perform filling account coding and post invoices for processing. Using AVID has cut my AP processing time by probably 30-50%. Very user-friendly AND a time-saver ... LOVE IT!
Cons
My only issue with this program is limiting reporting THOUGH I believe this is in the control of the Administrator/CFO of our organization and their setup preferences.

Seasoned User Still Feels Like A Gamechanger

Just ok - low price but you get what you pay for
Due to pricing and limitations with our CRM, we are kind of 'stuck' with Avid for now. It works, but if we had other options with better customer service, we would move to an alternate solution.
Pros
Avid is fairly easy to use and the pricing model is very straight forward.
Cons
Customer service is absolutely horrible. It is almost impossible to speak on the phone with anyone. I have even tried to get information regarding my sales rep and have been told that they (Avid) can't share that information (?!?!?!).

Very positive experience, had a great implementation where we set up all the approvals. Coding is easy and notification reminders work well.
Pros
Very easy for all departments to use. Did not require much training. Allows for usage of custom fields with NetSuite!
Cons
They can upgrade the look of the portal but no accounting or integration issues. Overall works smoothly.

Worth the Hype
Overall AvidXchange has answered all of our questions and made out AP automation streamlined and easy.
Pros
The best thing I like About AvidXchange is it easy to use and easy to access on the go if needed.
Cons
The least thing about AvidXchange is that it logs you out if you don't use it for a couple minutes...and the budgets portal is not working for us.

Accounts Payable Associate
The overall experience with Avid has been positive. We have other systems that we work with that I am constantly submitted a case ticket for to correct an issue. But I haven't had to do so with Avid.
Pros
I like being able to communicate between teams in Avid to keep the process streamlined.
I also liked the training process. We had a weekly meeting set so they could understand our business needs. All the way until a few weeks after we went live to assist us with questions or any changes that we needed.
Cons
I'm not able to organize invoices by date or name even though the option is there is does not work.

My Experience with AvidXchange
My overall experience with AvidXchange has been rewarding and has been a significant asset to not only my department, but also my institution as a whole.
Pros
I appreciate the ease of use in the user interface. The user experience can be daunting to new users due to the sheer breadth of the applications. Nonetheless the experience has a low skill floor with a high skill ceiling given the various ways to navigate the various applications and modules.
Cons
The reporting tools can be equal parts deeply informative and restrictive. I believe that boolean is simple and helps streamline the reporting process, but it's also restrictive and can make writing reports yielding specific information to be a challenge. Furthermore, separating information for reporting by certain functions is limiting when there is information I want from one section that's unavailable when building the bulk of my reports in another section of reports. (Like building an approvals report using the historical categories and wanting to use information from the approvals reports within the vendor categories)

Best Decision for our Payables
Overall great! Implementation Team was helpful, patient, prompt and kept things on track.
Pros
Ease of use and fully integrates with our software (MIP Fund Accounting). Implementation Team was awesome! Allowed us to move to electronic approvals and alleviated need to shuffle paper. Documentation readily available as needed with complete audit trail.
Cons
Could not incorporate distribution codes housed in MIP; work around was found. Implementation training limited to personal data - test data would have allowed for more practice. To be fair we didn't ask for additional practice.

Growing Kids Review of Avid
Overall it is a solid product, but I wish the invoices showed up in Quickbooks as attached jpeg images instead of an email link. Also, I do not like the default push for VCC for all suppliers/vendors that we are paying.
Pros
Ability to scan and send invoice to online database to easily code and search and send to Quickbooks for payment and payment tracking.
Cons
I absolutely hate the aspect that we (as the payee) cannot help the employer easily switch their payment method if they are erroneously signed up for VCC payment instead of check by mail payment or ACH. The amount of companies that state they never signed up for VCC but have been switched over is concerning.

Easy to use
I'm not a "tech" person and don't particularly like learning new programs and products. However, Avid was easy to learn and use. It is easy to search and find invoices, process them, keep track of payments. You can make comments, add extra files etc. It does everything we need it to do.

Easy to learn and use. I was brought on part-time to help the team and was able to learn the program within very little assistance. Everything is self-explanatory and easy to use.

I process invoices and have not found anything that I do not like about the program.

A great program to have!
Pros
I loved the ease of use, as there was a low learning curve. The process of invoicing is efficient from start to finish. It gets the job done and I would recommend this program to anyone looking for invoice processing software.
Cons
Searching for the status of an invoice can sometimes be a challenge. From my experience, searching by name hasn't always been enough when I didn't have any further information. I would recommend a shortcut to invoice searches.

Easy to use but wish I had more access
Pros
The platform is easy to use and navigate. It isn't hard to search for what you need.
The process of entering AP is easy.
Cons
I don't like that I have to email AP to be entered. I would prefer to be able to upload it myself and have it readily available. Or, at least have the option to upload AP directly to Avid when it is urgent.
I don't have as much access in Avid as I do other AP platforms and it can be frustrating when I have to change something on an invoice. For example, if the amount was entered incorrectly, I have to comment to have someone change it, instead of being able to change it myself at that moment.

Avid for AP!
Overall, I have had a great experience using Avid. We were one of the first to use the API functionality with MIP Accounting, and I am glad we made the switch. We save at least 0.5 FTE's on AP. If not for the complaints about the calls to vendors, I would have given 5 stars.
Pros
I really like the ability to process AP while not physically on location. In a hybrid work environment, it is seamless and managers can sign off on invoices no matter where they are. I also like that there is a digital records trail of the invoices, approvals, and processing. This has been incredibly helpful during audit season.
Cons
There were some calls to our community partner vendors informing them of the ability to receive payment via ACH, where the person reaching out made it sound like ACH payments were the only option. I had to clarify with our partners that paper checks were an option, but they were under the assumption after the communication that their only option was to accept the ACH form of payment and pay a fee. I reached out to sales and they said this was unacceptable and they would rectify the situation. Since then, I have not received any more complaints.

I love using AvidXchange. I am happy our company decided to use them.
Pros
I like the fact that the invoices are transported into BankTel for me, I just have to verify that all the information is correct. And it's easy to correct a mistake.
Cons
The only thing I don't like is when you need to void a payment and not re-issue you have to delete the invoice from the system.

Eliminates paper storage
Our experience has been nothing but good. They software is very user friendly. When we have needed extra help, their support staff isa always very helpful, knowledgeable and pleasant to work with.

AvidXchange Accounts Payable is a very user-friendly software. We love that the invoices and supporting documents can be scanned in and saved right along with the invoice. Benefits of AvidXchange
From implementation to support the AvidXchange team provides excellent support. Always friendly and willing to help as much as needed.
Pros
AvidXchange is a one-stop software that provides many services to our bank. We use the product to process hundreds of invoices a month through automation and integration. We also automated expense reports and credit card charges all allowing automated approval by management. We plan to further utilize the software for fixed assets in the coming months.

Three Reasons You Should Be Using AvidXchange
My overall experience is very positive. There are many features I like and use daily. I would like to see some improvements on the year end reporting, but I think that will come in the future.
Pros
The interface with Yardi is a true plus. The ability to leave notes on invoices and also see the history of the invoice from the date it was received to the date it was paid is another plus. Being able to make corrections and/or edits in capture before it is put into the payables queue is another plus
Cons
I don't like that you have to download annual payment detail report for all of the properties in one report. We use this when processing our 1099s and it would be easier to do this by property.

Avid for All!
Overall I have loved my experience with Avid. I have used a plethora of AP processing platforms and by far Avid has been the most reliable and easy to use platform. I still have to use others and I dread it far more then when I know I have to process invoices on Avid. I would recommend this platform to anyone in my industry.

-Invoicing History is always available and goes back more than 1 year which can be helpful
-Header and distribution lines are easy to use
-Codes pull from our chart of accounts making the coding process painless
-Save and approval are very easy
Cons
-Invoice feed does not separate invoices per property they are all mixed in with each and cannot be organized on our end. This makes it difficult when you are coding per one chart of accounts and then have to switch to another when the next invoice is a different property.

I've used AvidXchange for a few years and it blows my mind how we used to code invoices without it! It communicates flawlessly with our accounting software, making the process smooth!
Pros
AvidXchange is a brilliant software making coding invoices easy and efficient! Gone are the days of manual coding and scanning! I love being able to send invoices to the email and have them in the portal to quickly code and submit. This software makes coding seamless and easy! A workflow game changer truly.

Avid has saved streamlined our AP and made it manageable by a very small staff. It is easy for both user and vendors and paper invoices have been all but eliminated.
Pros
Eliminates the need for paper invoices being passed around and keeps a clear history of each step from invoice creation to payment. Customer service is outstanding in all areas of the program for both vendors and the company.
Cons
We cannot see how vendors choose to be paid, so we cannot assist them with questions. Also the fee charged to the vendors for ACH payments is very high.

Accounting Time Saver!
Overall I've had a great experience with Avid, I just wish they would make small changes to Capture.
Pros
I love that Avid makes it easy to pay invoices but downloading them to a que and inserting all important information. All I have to do is review the invoice and click submit. This saves me a ton of time per invoice.
Cons
I dislike the capture system. If an invoice is listed as a duplicate and it is not, there is no easy way to get it processed anyways.

Accounts Payable Manager
I truly love AvidAscend. It makes the accounts payable, Prepaids and Accruals, and Fixed Assets part of my job easy. The processes flow nicely and there is rarely an issue.
Pros
The expense reimbursement feature on AvidAscend is crucial to our company. The ease it provides our employees when uploading receipts and keeping track of expenses is incomparable.
Cons
I wish there was an option to be able to delete expense reimbursements after they have been approved. Instead of the submitter needing to login and delete it.

AvidXchange has made the processing of invoices much quicker and smoother with the appropriate work flows along the way. It has cut hours of work in our company.
Pros
I love the capture feature the most and how it learns more as you use it. The ease of use of the entire program is also a plus. It doesn't take long to train employees to use. Workflows can be created easily and exactly as needed.

The biggest issue is when the system is down and we have to wait for it.

Excellent Time Saver
Overall this product has been great for our business and saves us valuable time at a low cost. Plus the cost is passed along to our customers, and is less than it would be to purchase postage/ mail checks on our own. It also directly integrates with our property management software
Pros
Significantly easier to process accounts payable. Quick and saves us a lot of time.
Cons
Funds are removed from your account immediately. If the check gets lost or is never received by the vendor, it takes awhile to get the funds returned to your account and re-issued. It also results in a service charge.

Makes Bill Pay easy with approval workflows. Easy to communicate to other team members in workflow. export/upload to Appfolio seamless. Reports make spreadsheets for owner bills. Also support is easy to connect with and very helpful

Much Needed Platform!
Pros
I believe the user-friendliness and the weigh lifting it does on our Accounting department is what I most like about AvidXchange. It is easy to use and easy to navigate through the site. Also, the Avid Utilities feature is definitely a must have, that way you don't have to worry about getting late fees on your utility bills.
Cons
I don't have any cons at this moment. I believe in continuous improvement and finding new and better ways to make the product more valuable. I believe AvidXchange is doing a good job so far. One item that would be good to add is to provide more training support and to have a more broad communication to the people who have access, especially when the system is encountering technical issues.

I like that it is a one stop shop for AR and that they can process payments for you. I like the ease of coding and the functionality in the program itself.
Cons
I wish you could see your vendor's payment preferences. I also wish checks did not take so long to process. Utilities are near impossible to process in the portal as payments take way too long...

Unhappy with services and a lot of technical issues
Not good - a lot of issues since they went to the AI system
Pros
Easy platform to work with and can find invoices easily.
Cons
Technical errors - it has been down for all of my morning and can process invoice. Takes way more that 24 to 48 hours to reply to my requests. Invoices in processing get stuck in the queue till the next day. Called customer service and wasn't any help or were rude.

I like the easy use of the system. It is easy to follow on how to input invoice.
Cons
I would like to be able to pick up the phone and call someone with a question. Instead of always having to file a ticket.

Great experience with AvidXChange
Overall, great experience with AvidX. Very easy to use and navigate, love the visibility of accounts payable invoices company wide.

Great Service!
Pros
Time saving, ease of use, seamless integration
Cons
Automatic refunding of payments outstanding after a certain time, reissuing payments is more difficult through Avid than when paying in-house.
