On top of the labour figure it adds materials and subcontractor lines at your own mark-ups, travel from round-trip miles at your own per-mile rate, parking, congestion charge, waste disposal, tool hire and a contingency percentage. VAT is added only if you are VAT registered, and is dropped when the domestic reverse charge applies. The AI suggests the labour figure and nothing else; every number after it is deterministic arithmetic you can check against rates you set.&#10;&#10;Quotes go out as branded PDFs by email or WhatsApp. The customer opens a link, reads the priced breakdown, approves, declines with a reason or asks for changes, signs, and can pay a deposit by card through Stripe. No account to create, and the link stops working the moment the quote is withdrawn, superseded or expired.&#10;&#10;An accepted quote becomes a job with its own number, schedules against your Google, Outlook or iCloud calendar, records completion details and photos, and converts to an invoice without re-entering anything. Overdue invoices are chased in one action, wording yours before it goes.&#10;&#10;Tax and compliance&#10;Photograph a receipt and the expense is read for vendor, date, total and VAT, then categorised straight onto the numbered boxes of the HMRC SA103F self-employment pages rather than a generic chart of accounts. Each expense carries a business-use percentage the year-end totals scale by, and you get SA103F box totals, a profit and loss, the CSVs and the receipts as an accountant export pack.&#10;&#10;A quote touching electrical, gas or structural work picks up the relevant compliance wording automatically, including a clear note where that work is excluded. Gas safety records and minor electrical works certificates are written in the app. Certificates issued elsewhere, plus your qualifications, scheme memberships and insurance, are stored with their expiry dates.&#10;&#10;Numbers most job software does not work out&#10;Recording the work is the easy half. My Job Goblin also works out revenue per available working day, why revenue moved against the previous 30 days, whether quotes sent within 24 hours convert better than later ones, margin per job split weekday against weekend, quote win rate with a confidence interval, utilisation, a value-weighted time to get paid, median job value and time from quote to job. No figure appears on a sample too small to support it: too little history and the card renders nothing rather than a number with a caveat under it. Every figure compares you against your own history, never against other businesses.&#10;&#10;What it does not do&#10;No multi-user accounts, shared diary, engineer GPS tracking or dispatch. No direct Xero, QuickBooks or Sage sync; you get the year-end export pack instead. It does not write an Electrical Installation Certificate or an EICR, though both can be stored against a property once issued elsewhere. Chasing is one action you take, not an unattended sequence.
