Liked it, but it didn't do everything.

Pros

Easy to use. Automatically took care of some of the problems that arise transitioning from charting to coding, such as asking for indications for xrays.

Cons

Never able to calculate provider productivity or separate PA visits from physician visits. Never able to schedule without having all of patient's insurance info. Had to get separate practice management product for management aspect.

It's ok but definitely not one I would choose

Pros

It's not that hard to learn, compared to other systems.

Cons

It looks very old, it's slow, and there isn't appointment booking.

Truly an Awful EMR

Overall experience from 1-10, I would rate 0 because I suffered immensely while using Codonix in every aspect. Their software is slow, buggy, operates best in internet explorer by use of java which compounds these issues severely, their customer service is always lacking, many delays, often just useless overall. We operate both an urgent care and a primary care and we had a few burn patients that we couldn't diagnose appropriately because their system was missing the diagnoses for burns and it took them forever to add it.

Pros

I would suggest the relative simplicity is the only beneficial feature. I would be able to train someone to use the EMR to full capacity within an hour.

Cons

My least favorite part of this software is the accumulation of all its inefficiencies. Essentially every location you click you must wait for a window to pop up and waiting for each individual window to finally appear after EVERY click is a massive waste of time and money.

This is for the exer urgent care software they developed

Pros

They developed the software for exer urgent care and it's like traveling back in time to the 90s!! 2021 and the website is not responsive for phones!? I need my results and can't register because the submit button is not possible to reach since it's our of the frame. When clicking desktop site is the same. It's not possible to zoom in our out to reach it. I tried to open it on different browsers and it's the same.

It's an okay EMR for urgent care

Pros

Codonix allows you to chart fairly quickly. The order screen is customizable to fit your needs.

Cons

It is Java based so Java updates can cause problems and have to uninstall and reinstall previous versions. The tech support will always blame you when something is not working correctly. Has not been helpful at all with ICD-10 conversion, no training, wrong diagnosis codes generated from diagnoses, etc. Codonix has more than doubled the time billing has to spend with ICD-10. It is glitchy, and will not allow you to click on specific mannequin body parts when documenting (ex: patients obviously don't have knees). They will completely ignore suggestions to improve the system.
